Crook Rental company

I rented a small and relative old car from the company and paid about $300 for 5 days and we put down a $2000 deposit.
I’m a 62 old responsible driver and didn’t damage the car. But they managed to find a scratch on the back door and a scratch underneath the front of the car.
I case they were right this paint job would cost $400 but because their repair shop are owned by the same owner they charged me $1600 for the job. And they never paid back the remaining $400 deposit.
