I bought a Rip Curl Flashbomb and the…

I bought a Rip Curl Flashbomb and the chest panel tore at the seam 6” long the second time I wore it. The shop I bought it at said to contact Rip Curl. (Why buy at brick and mortar shops if they can’t help) I sent the suit to Rip Curl from the East coast at my cost of $100 so now I have $485 tied up in a 3/2 flashbomb. They gave me a warranty job # and I could get a credit for the online store because they didn’t have a replacement to send me. They also said I hand to eat the $100 it cost me to ship it to them. This was 5 months ago I still have no wetsuit, no online credit to get another one and am out $485. Can’t get a response from anyone! There needs to be a class action lawsuit on Rip Curl for ripping people off. I have read several reviews about the same thing happening with other warranty claims.

Rip curl wellness check

I sent a wetsuit in and was told it was covered under the full warranty and I could either get a credit or a replacement. The one email I received recommended that I take the credit as there were delays in both service and replacement options. 4 months later I’ve yet to receive the credit. I have sent dozens of emails that rip curl has never responded to. I have started just calling their HQ phone number and leaving voice messages to any line that will ring through. I have never manage to get ahold of a human or get a return call. If I wasn’t so angry about their poor service and low quality products I might be worried about their well-being.

I bought a yellow bikini and in the same year the colour faded to almost white, which looks ridiculous, and the metal details that attached the straps just broke off and that for over €70! Don’t waste your money

Purchased 2 Rip Curl anti series jackets while on vacation in Punta Gorda Fl. There supposed to be water proof, the first time we wore them in the raini my wife and I were soaked! I notified rip curl and there telling me it's a factory defect to that I need to return the jackets where I purchased them from which is 2.5 hours away. Sorry guys but your warranty policy sucks.

HORRIBLE warranty claim service on wetsuits

Top of the line $500 Heat Seeker wetsuit with 2 yr warranty purchased from their corporate chain store in Santa Monica had major seam failures throughout within a few months. Took it in for warranty repair and store manager admitted that that gen of Heat Seaker was failing. I waited 3 months and I got it back in the mail without any repairs or explanation after numerous tries to reach them by phone and email. I took it back to the store, this time with a letter of explanation and copy of receipt (which I was told would not be needed if purchased from Rip Curl's store), waited another month and got the same suit back unrepaired/replaced, no explanation. Customer service and warranty service are GARBAGE at Rip Curl and their Heat Seeker suit is even worse. $500 wasted.

Swim trunks quality

Sent a request to corporate on a pair of swim trunks where the seal around the thigh is delaminating after a handful of uses. It was a rip curl corporate store!

Their response!

“Contact the store you purchased them from.!”

No more rip curl for me!

I love my top

I love my top, but communication around delivery wasn't great. Was told it was sent when it wasn't, I would suggest with covid be clear with delivery expectations. Otherwise happy

Very low quality products

Very low quality products being sold at a premium price tag. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE MARKETING!!!!
I've been a big fan of rip curl for years, however I have watched the quality of the products slowly decline as the greedy corporates strive for fatter profit margins. Cutting costs on materials and pushing the price up and up.
Jeans wear out and literally fall apart after 12 months, same with shorts, labels fall of hoodies, my $600 wetsuit fell apart. What a joke!!!
