Beware . Newly qualified C1 will not be insured
Beware .. if you are insuring motorhome over 3500kg and you have not held C1 licence for MORE than 2 years. You are not insured... Read your documents carefully, Ripe do not check or tell you, it is assumed. Online quote was not the price we paid and then an extra increase added as they do not mirror no claims, do not assume anything, speak to an advisor, question everything. Staff are friendly.

Âge is an issue!
To be fair, Ripe insurance have been ok and were competitively priced.
Unfortunately out of the blue, I am no longer insurable due to my age.
My previous insurer would have kept me on!
I have other options so onwards & upwards!

We appreciate your frustration regarding the decision not to continue your cover. While age can be one of the factors considered when assessing a risk, our underwriters take a number of factors into account when determining whether we are able to offer or continue insurance. These can include the value of the items being insured, the age of the policyholder, the address where the items are usually kept, and in some cases information obtained from third parties such as credit reference agencies.
There is no single factor that determines whether we can insure a particular customer, and unfortunately we are not provided with details of which specific factor or combination of factors has led to the underwriting decision in individual cases.
We understand this may be disappointing and would like to thank you for your previous custom. We wish you all the best in arranging alternative cover.

HONEST dealings and in this Country!
Understood I wanted to get a better price than my previous insurance company.
I also wanted to confirm what the recovery package covered.

What an AMAZING company
What an AMAZING company! We recently made a claim on our policy, unfortunately our lovely caravan was damaged completely by accident. I was worried when i had to call Ripe because i've never made a claim before but the ladies on the phone were so lovely and really helpful. We had an assessor come the next day and the whole incident was quickly dealt with, sadly they wrote off our van but we have already received the replacement value of our van. Just over 4 weeks start to finish and i've just insured through them again for our new to us caravan to pick up tomorrow.
If all insurance was this easy and everyone had the same level of customer service life would be so much better. if there was an option of 10 stars rating it still wouldn't be high enough in my opinion. Thank you Ripe for turning a horrible experience into a happy ending!

It appears a good policy cover for home and europe
So far obtaining a quote and paying have been very easy to do. Adding in or removing options and updating the price is also easy.
The information for breakdown cover for europe and the uk is comprehensive and if required will deliver a good service.
Hopefully I won’t need to claim or use the services for breakdown, windscreen,or keys etc.
