beware. Dont buy from rivers

I seem to have had the same problem as everyone else, Still waiting for an order made in Nov. many excuses generically emailed - because I have never been able to speak to anyone on the phone. Tried to cancel but they wont - which is contrary to australian consumer law. They should be looked at by the ACCC

Ordered a totem tennis set on the 19th…

Ordered a totem tennis set on the 19th November, for my children for Christmas. Still has not arrived 😔 Have only just seen all of these reviews on how bad Rivers online orders are 😭.
Wish I bought it somewhere else so my children didn't miss out

You are kidding Rivers....

1st December (2021) I shopped with Rivers on-line and today email arrives, "we are sorry and the excuse that I received "Australia Post and our logistics partner" are at fault/blame - funny thing Rivers every one else I used on-line in Australia have delivered. Time ACCC was involved with your non-existent service, in future make sure you have the goods in stock and not fobbing us off with your ridiculous excuses, this is not the first time but it will be the very last.

Worst online retail experience ever

Worst online retail experience ever. They will deduct the amount and won't give you any product/updates unless you start chasing them. I placed my order on 29th November and still waiting for it to be processed. I had to call them so many times and I managed to talk to their representative only once. It's 17th December today and I'm still awaiting updates for my order. I just got an email that my order is delayed due to a delay with Australia Post and our logistics partner. Pathetic Service! I won't recommend anyone to waste their money by buying their products. Everyone should report them to the relevant authorities.

1 star is too much

1 star is too much. We experienced the same treatment from them that everyone else reported. After many emails without response, we went to the ACCC, our bank and current affairs programs on TV. We told Rivers we had done so and, surprise, surprise, it seems that our items are finally on the way via Australia Post... or are they? Lets hope we get what we actually ordered. If not... another series of complaints will be made. Rivers should not be permitted to trade. Never shop with them!

Buyer Beware!!

Buyer Beware!!! Do not order online from Rivers. They do not send your items out. You will not receive your order. I will never ever shop at rivers again.

Ordered some slides for my elderly…

Ordered some slides for my elderly father on-line, over 2 weeks ago. Still haven’t received them and cs can’t tell me a shipping date. Would of been quicker to go to a store! Big Waste of time and quick to take my money. My dad is still waiting! Never again.

NOT HAPPY

Okay. I have ordered running shoes for my husband, and the say it has been shipped, but Auspost says they have not received the tracking number. Ordered in November. Cannot talk to them on the phone because they have so many waiting and please ring tomorrow, will it happen again If I ring. I am from Western Australia and I think that I will go to the newspaper and tell them all the trouble I am having. Regards Carole.

Filthy change rooms

Both my husband & myself have just been shopping in your Carseldine Qld store & sadly the changing rooms were disgusting especially with Covid restrictions, there were balls of fluff & dust inside & out, looked like they hadn't been cleaned in weeks very poor, but signs are every where re Covid Hygiene regulations, also the young lady (incharge) needs to smile a little when serving customers, we have been shopping in this store for yrs with no issues. regards Sue

Wish I had visited this site before I…

Wish I had visited this site before I ordered clothes from Rivers.
Half the order turned up promptly but now 3 weeks later still no more of the remaining order.
Rang "customer service" today but got nowhere.
Have now asked paypal to arrange a refund for me.
Last time I buy anything from Rivers.

I placed an order 6 weeks ago. They finally dispatched after 4 weeks and the delivery date keeps moving back. I suspect that the company is on its last legs. I will not be ordering from them again. I get excuses but on items...

Highly discourage use of Rivers website

If I could give it less than one star I would. Items didn't arrive for months. At first I figured it was due to Covid but when I contacted them I was told they weren't available and they gave me a full refund. This may seem fine but the entire time the exact same items were still for sale on the website only now they had raised the price. This was for over 13 items. It wasn't until I mentioned contacting Fair Trade that they were willing to engage in real conversation.
Do not buy using the Rivers website.

Place an order on 15 Sep 21

Place an order on 15 Sep 21, got a confirmation email. Its now 24 Oct 21 and am still waiting. A third party company has delivered part of the order but Rivers have not. Still waiting on slippers and a shirt. They are the worst online shopping company i have ever had dealings with. They have even stopped sending me Status updates. I see So many others are experiencing the same treatment from this company. Think twice before placing an order i would suggest.....

They got more issues than they want to admit

I understand that they're in lockdown but this is the second order I've made with them. Both orders took over a month to ship and they only ship part of the order. I had to chase them for the other half.
The website is a pain but they do give good bargains.

The worse online shopping experience possible.

I ordered online on 5/10/21. After receiving a confirmation email nothing. Contacted customer service on 7/10/21 about my order status and have not received a reply. Called customer service today 15/10/21 and after being on hold for 15 minutes the call was cancelled. I sent a message on the Facebook page. No response. I called again a finally spoke to someone. She told me she could not see the status of my order. I asked her to cancel my order. She told me she could not cancel it but would ask the warehouse to cancel. I'm waiting to hear back.

The worse online shopping experience possible. Very quick to take your money but they are unable to ship your product, communicate with you or process a refund.

STAY AWAY!
