Preferred this to others in the market due to use of a capacitor rather than battery inside, no screen, discreet appearance when fitted and two years guarantee.

I use this with the optional hardware kit which keeps wiring hidden and 12v socket free. Don't use the hardware kit with a permanent live because it isn't designed for continuous use so switched live only.

This camera is a big improvement on the original RoadHawk HD model with a clearer daytime picture, improved identification of registration plates when freeze framing. Night recording is much improved but could be better in certain conditions. The closer the lense is to the windscreen the better.

Would be great if HDR mode would record at 60fps, instead restricted to 30fps.

Make sure you use SD cards supplied by RoadHawk themselves because they are guaranteed to work with your device. Other cards, even those that look the same, can kill your device.

This is an excellent product with a great recorded image.
The many mounting options (included in the package) make the use so versatile as possible. My camera is mounted on my motorcycle.
The product description on the website is accurate and complete.
The company delivers on time as promised.

the quality and build is excellent, easy to fit to windscreen perfect filming in the day or night. would recommend this to anybody so don't waste money on cheep auction cameras buy the best you can afford.

Great Product and easy to use

To me this is a must in todays environment and this dash cam does the job excellently. It also make you aware of your own driving, helping to improve it all the time. Which can only be a good thing. When I placed my order it arrived two days later. I found the instruction easy to follow and installed the camera in 10 minutes, hiding all electric cables out of sight.
I throughly recommend RoadHawk and this product.

this was a great present for my partner, him being a truck driver he does see some crazy things on the road.

Excellent piece of equipment

We use these in our coaches and overall they are really good but you need to consider certain installation aspects carefully. For reliability you should not place the unit on the dash where it may be liable to vibration as that gives false "incident" triggers. Instead buy the screen sucker and stick to the windscreen. The only problem then is being able to manually trigger an alert so also get the extension cable so the driver can easily reach the alert switch.

Wire to the ignition circuit so niot running 24 hours a day.

Buy decent quality memory cards. We bought our 128GB
ones off Amazon at much better rates than charged by Roadhawk.

Finally, consider reformatting the cards periodically maybe every 6 weeks with vehicle inspections.

I can only assume that the Which reviews failed to give this the best rating because it is not the easiest to use.I my opinion it is far superior to other Cams as it has GPS giving location and speed etc.Ideal to counter uncalibrated Speed Cameras and incorrect Road Signage.Bus Lanes etc.
So it is not just plug and go,but if you want an accurate good quality recording it cannot be beaten.

Bought My HD2 Roadhawk Webcam About 2 Month ago when it came it was faulty I rang Roadhawk Support Who were Really helpful gave me all the info to post it back to them which was Noon on Thursday An I received a New Replacement By 10am on the Saturday they are in Devon I live in Cumbria I have Used it all the Time since including a Fortnight On my hols. in Scotland Picture Quality Superb Do not Hesitate to Buy If you Want a Road Cam

A simple but efficient camera that is easy to set up and easy to operate. The pictures are great, but the sound could be improved but you can hear voices in the background.
It is hidden from eye view when driving and half the time you don't realise its there

Camera functionality and general quality of the products is very good.

Aftercare service also very good. Roadhawk dealt with a minor issue I had with one device swiftly and fairly.

Would recommend the cameras to anyone. Expensive compared to others on the market but really is as case of 'get what you pay for'.

This camera is excellent for road use for evidence collection. It is tiny, light and simple. Weather proof and no problem to use daily. I wouldn't be without it.

I bought the RoadHawk HD Premium Dash Cam two years ago and have not had a problem with it. The device is simple to use and the video from it is excellent quality. Will be buying another for my daughter soon. Recommended.

Having had an initial disappointment with a faulty Road hawk HD this was speedily & professionally resolved by the company to my complete satisfaction.
