Will not always switch on but ok when it works
The sd card was not easy to configure. Its hard wired straight from my ignition but it's very random as to it switching on so not happy about that. The sd card has been used twice by police for accidents I've witnessed so on that it's proved it's worth
A long time user
Had my DC-01 for some years now. It has been a great asset and thankfully I have not come across many bad instances where I would of had to of used it. Its not hardwired in and I've gone through one power cable. Just use at least an 16 GB memory card. Would certainly buy another newer model.
Road hawk
I don't leave home with out it, fitted to my car, motorhome and motorbike.
try to find a perticular incident
try to find a perticular incident optima is very difficult especially with all the short vidios clips
the viewing software was far superior before it was updated last year, also unable to view on apple mac
Very good product!
I am very satisfied with my RoadHaw, which I use primarily when I ride my bike. It's firmly attached to the helmet and has never failed. Bear in mind to format the SD card rd from time to time. The visual quality of the recording is excellent, bar night time with little light. It does give me confidence in case of a non-fault accident, near misses, etc. It's really waterproof, light and easy to use overall. Why not 5 stars? Battery lets it down 20min max, so it's always connected to my auxiliary socket. Every month or so, I need to reset the time, Although the one button approach simplifies operations, it is not always responsive and it can be frustrating. Highly recommended, though despite those relatively minor niggles and I am considering getting another one for the car as it cannot be beaten in terms of value for money.
Don't drive without Roadhawk
Driving without the Road Hawk Camera I feel naked, there are so many bad and inconsiderate and Dangerous drivers out there, and it would seem no law enforcement to patrol our roads
Quality camera at reasonable price.
I wanted a dashcam which continuously films for my BMW R1200RT. It sits behind the screen on the stick on mount and worked well on a 2000 mile trip through France and Spain in May 2016. Does it for me.
Good technology, clamp needs attention
I've had my Roadhawk for two years now, using it in several European countries, and am very pleased with it. Basically you plug it in and go, though it's a good idea to look through the (online) instructions. I find I don't need to tinker around with the settings. Occasionally I actually take the SD card out and view the footage, just to check it's walking the walk, and invariably it is. I find I can view the footage with Roadhawk's own downloaded software program, and with a couple of other video programs that many up-to-date laptops now come pre-programmed with. The company were easy to deal with and sent my order very promptly.
My only major gripe is the clamp onto which you slide the camera unit. This was very tight indeed and it was a real faff trying to slide the unit off the clamp; in fact I broke part of the plastic slide-on section, but it still holds together adequately, and now I remove the whole thing (clamp and unit) and never try to remove the unit from the clamp.
For that reason alone (very tight clamp) when I decided to get another camera for the back window too, I bought another brand, which works just as well, and the clamp is easier to detach.
So come on, Roadhawk, sort out that very tight clamp (it's only a bit of extruded plastic, after all). The other minor gripe is that it sometimes take a while (maybe a couple of minutes) to lock on to the satellite, but that doesn't really bother me, as the recording feature, which is the main reason you buy such a contraption, works well. So I recommend this item and the company. Buy British!
Very quick service
I required a replacement Roadhawk Hd due to a theft, I received the replacement within three days, excellent aftersales service too, I have no hesitation in recommending this company.
Excellent system, good clear pictures
Does what it says on the box. Gives good clear pictures and the software locates you and shows speed and direction.
Using a 64gb chip gives many days of recording, and even when it starts overwriting, it stores anything it recorded that bumped heavily.
Camera used to substantiate a claim against a lorry driver who had a brick between rear wheels that spat out and cracked our windscreen (he denied it). Won our claim, no problem.
5 cameras bought
1st couple of cameras fine but then the next three cause interference on radios.

Helmet fixing csme in stick
I csrefully affixed the camera to my helmet anf allowed 3 days to sdhere before using it. On my first use I travelled 50 miles in Portugal in 30 c heat brgore it became unstuck. Fortunately I managed not to lose it on the motorway. Id there a more secure way of fixing the csmera?

good quality product
this was my second DC2 chosen because of a high quality picture and easy setup. Nice equipment.
Takes good quality video
Once set up, following the maker's well-thought-out video instructions, the camera works without further attention. It is worth following their recommendation to buy a large capacity, high quality card to use normally; the relatively small one provided can be used when the extra one is taken out for downloading purposes.
The camera doesn't have a viewing screen, but this is actually an advantage, as it would be a dangerous distraction when driving. The lack of a screen isn't a problem when setting up the camera, as the camera has a wide field of view, and all that is needed is to visually check that is pointing forwards.
Roadhawk HD
I have had my camera for several years now and using it in my second vehicle. I have had no issues with the camera as it works as it did the day I installed it. I did have to download new software for my new computer which worked a little different from the first one. I had a little trouble with it but customer service was a huge help walking me through the problem. The amount of information the camera gives me is amazing. I definitely recommend the camera for anyone who needs that extra level of insurance for your everyday travels.
Bullet R+
A nice descrete camera, good recording ,easy to set up and record.
Excellent camera left in no doubt who was to blame for my accident
Last October I was driving on the A50 when a car pulled out from a side road and turned right instead of left, straight into my path as I was traveling at 70 mph ther was no time to avoid a collision, the camera recorded everything perfectly.
An Eye on the road
Great camera Small, But with a great picture quality. Perfect helmet cam
Label on the tin is accurate!
I had a dash cam from another supplier previously and was happy with it. I then bought a Road Hawk 512 and found what I was missing with the other device. So much so that I then bought another two the same so now have them wired in to both our modern cars and share the other one between two classic cars. Low light performance is really good. I would buy more of the same if I needed them
