Excellent small business that is my “go to” place for DCC sound. Richard clearly knows his stuff and offers much more than just an online shop, eg how to videos, tech advice, etc. He has turned his hobby into a great little business that I’d thoroughly recommend you try. Please support the small independent businesses at the heart of the hobby.

I placed an order late on a Wednesday and Friday morning it arrived . The website is packed full of information and videos where you can compare sound files and choose one you prefer.

I use this company for my sound decoder purchases because I know that I will always get excellent service and advice.

Purchased a DCC chip for a Thomas Bachmann model, I was advised of the best option and even offered the chance to add a stay alive which of course means it’s a fantastic runner now! Fast Post and very reasonable pricing.

Great company to deal with. Very knowledgeable staff and always a good range of decoders to choose from as well as other associated model rail products. Also for those of us relatively new to DCC sound there free to watch installation videos and social media are a great resource.

Incredible customer service from Richard. Always on hand to assist in anything decoder related. Been buying from Road and Rails years now. For one person business he provides a great service.

They sell high-quality decoders and utilise high-quality sound files. They test different speakers in different locos and recommend what works best. First-class service. Highly recommended.
