Great trip again

Great trip again! Super friendly reception and great tips for the trip by Clifford - big thanks to him! Camper van was functional and in good condition. Wait time initially a bit too long due to some last minute technical repairs.

Beware of total lack of support if something serious goes wrong

There actually is NO support when you are on the road if an issue arises in the living area of the camper.i am a return customer. On my previous holiday all went well with only minor issues arising ( dirty kitchen box and hot water not working). This year was a disaster.b
Initially it was minor issues (shower , window blinds and shower room door not working). Then my leisure battery stopped working half way thru my holiday so no running water. No lights. The support centre was useless. Actually less than useless as they caused me a lot of stress with multiple emails requesting the same information repeatedly. Nightmare. No resolution to the issue other than a request to drive just under 4 hrs to nearest Weinsberg service centre and pay for the repair myself with promise(???) of reimbursement at some stage in the future. This is NOT customer service nor is it helpful at all. After such an amazing holiday last year this was such a gut wrenching disappointment. Shame on you Roadsurfer

Paid to pick van up early 🤣

Paid to pick van up early , then didn’t get away with it untill 4pm.
No electric step to get in and out . Water pump packed up 1st night so no shower , toilet , or sinks plane no water .
Gave up on trip and returned van as soon as the yard was open .
To then be told.
We will only give you a €75 ticket to use on your next trip with them .
It’s daylight robbery .
Since the trip have read to many reviews that say vans are not maintained

I’m sure renting from them is fine if…

I’m sure renting from them is fine if you don’t have any issues but you’d better hope that you don’t break down.
Good luck getting a hold of customer service. The location I rented from said they can’t do anything you have to speak to the call center. Complete waste of money with absolutely zero customer service.
I also ran into someone else renting one on my travels who was having the same issue

Highly Recommend

I was skeptical about renting from Roadsurfer due to the mixed reviews I saw online, but I’m so happy we did. From pick up to drop off everything went smoothly. Our van and everything in it was brand new and so clean. I had seen some issues of people not being able to get help while on the road. They do use an AI chat for minor questions. We actually found this feature very helpful if we couldn’t figure out how to work a feature on the van. The chat would provide step by step instructions on any questions we had. We used Roadsurfer out of Las Vegas and did the National parks in Utah as well as Goblin Valley. I would 100% recommend using this company and we will definitely be back.

I don't think I will renew the…

I don't think I will renew the experience. We had issue with the hot water and Noone to help us on the phone, impossible to reach anybody. No hot water for 3 days with young kids. We had an orange icon "moteur engine" I tried to reach the assistance and that was a catastroph they hanged on us! And now I received an email with a damage report despite we took extremely care of the véhicule, no picture no proof, it's a ROBBERY! so easy to take the money from us when giving us a vehicle with many many stitches and damages!! Avoid roadsurfer, you'll stay alone when issues and be asked for money to repare those for previous drivers!

Dirty van, safety warnings, and unfair damage claims.

This was my second rental with Roadsurfer. While my first experience was perfect, this time the service was **completely unacceptable.
The camper was delivered in a state of total neglect: the exterior was so thick with dirt that a proper inspection for pre-existing scratches was impossible. The interior hygiene was equally poor; we had to deep-clean it ourselves before starting our trip.
The iron rims were visibly rusted, and the onboard computer displayed a persistent “visit workshop” warning. The staff member at check-in casually dismissed this, showing zero concern for mechanical safety.
The blackout curtains were broken and wouldn't stay down, compromising our privacy.
Upon return, the company tried to charge me for an exterior scratch. They admitted they missed it during check-in due to being 'understaffed and unable to clean the van'—yet they now expect me to pay for it.
I have photographic evidence of the van’s condition at pickup, which clearly shows the level of dirt that concealed the bodywork. It is unprofessional and deceptive to shift the burden of your lack of maintenance and staff onto the customer. I am currently disputing this claim and expect a fair resolution based on the facts.

HORRIBLE

HORRIBLE! A spot on a parking lot with cars parked right next to you, the only review is the publisher’s!no toilet, nothing, I left as soon as I set foot there!already charged and no refund on that website/app!You are scammers and should be reported to the police!

Damaged assigned where we were not aware of

It was our first time camping experience. When we arrived, the explanation could be better. It was confusing to follow only all instructions via an app/website.
I want to warn people to check the truck very good before signing anything. We encountered after we returned the car that they wrote damage where we were not aware about. If you are not knowledgeable how are car/van should look like( you cannot check upfront what is damaged or not) you will face afterwards damages where you must
pay for it. For me this is very unpleasant, the truck camper is not familiar to me so how can I check upfront damages which are not visible (such as a scratch) for regular people with no knowledges of cars.

So be warned! Check very good or you will face a bill!

A brilliant experience from beginning to end

A brilliant experience from beginning to end. The VW California ocean is a brilliant van to travel with. And I can’t recommend the manchester team enough — super helpful and patient when you pick up the vehicle for the first time! Can’t wait for my next trip.

Holiday as a car mechanic

If you want to spend your holiday as a mechanic go for roadsurfer go for it!
In case your car has some warning lights on (in our case already after less than 100k of driving) then they don't give you much assistance. The require you to make an appointment at a car shop, wait hours until roadsurfer checked the expected costs and then wait again until its fixed.

Great vans reliable staff

This is my first experience with roadsurfer and I like a lot the concept of the company
I like the selection of camper and their status and maintenance
In Valencia the staff was friendly and I would like to acknowledge the professionalism of Patricia that saved our trip by changing the Batery of the van the first day

Amazing Road Trip Through the Norwegian Fjords

Me and three other friends rented a campervan in Bergen and set off on a trip through the fjords—and everything went perfectly. The whole experience was smooth from start to finish, and we had an incredible time exploring the stunning landscapes.

The van was a bit small for four people, and after a few days it started to feel a little cramped. Still, we managed just fine and adapted easily, so it didn’t take away from the overall experience.

It was truly an unforgettable adventure, fully immersed in nature and the spirit of exploration. We had so much fun and would definitely do it again!
