Professional, honest and reassuring from start to finish. When I contacted Dominic Sellar, I had already pleaded guilty to dangerous driving and had pretty much accepted I was going to lose my license for at least 12 months. However, I was represented in court by Dominic Sellar solicitors where my guilty plea to Dangerous Driving was withdrawn and thereafter substituted for a plea of guilty to the lesser charge of Careless Driving.

This allowed me to keep my license and for this, I can’t thank Dominic enough. I would 100% recommend Dominic Sellar to anyone in need of representation or advice when it comes to a motoring offence. An absolutely amazing service.

I was 'caught' driving my car at 70mph in a 70mph limit, by a speed camera near Inverness. Even ended up with Police at my house at 8am interviewing me after the CPS in Scotland claimed I hadn't surrendered my licence etc. Went even further - Procurator / Police claimed I admitted the offence on bodycam. Police Scotland claimed I was driving a VAN, despite the camera showing the number plate as my Fiat car. The driver was a fuzzy blob on the photo, PF claimed they could identify me. Police Scotland fought it all the way, didnt give up, offered me, lol, 6 points for the 'speeding' and six for the 'Failing to Produce' - so a ban. Looked grim. Dominic took it on and it was him who spotted that the Police claimed my car was a van, even ANPR brings it up as a car. Firstly he got the whole thing frozen, then today the CPS dropped and closed the case. I'm out of pocket, but will pursue that with Police Scotland, however Dominic just zapped the lot, was very, VERY competitive on price and has a delicious 'to hell with this' attitude in pursuit of justice. Top fella.

Professional, calm, realistic and reassuring is how I would describe Dominic. A first class traffic lawyer who reassured me during what was a stressful situation. Anything I was unsure or unaware of he explained in a calm and patient way guiding me through each step. In the end my case was dropped due to Dominic’s professional working practice. I would recommend him to anyone who required help with road traffic issues.

Charge: FAILING TO PROVIDE A BREATH TEST
Having been in the situation of being charged with the above (one I'd never have dreamt I'd ever be in) I sought professional advice from Dominic.
From the first meeting Dominic was very quick off the mark. He put a tremendous amount of work in on my case and gave me realistic advice throughout.
As this was all during the pandemic it resulted in numerous court dates set, attended and rescheduled but Dominic's fee never strayed from the fee quoted on my first visit. I was charged with careless driving. Dominic carefully listened and prepared an excellent defence. He attended court in Stirling on my behalf, and as a result of the evidence he presented the case was dropped. Dominic went to considerable trouble to prepare the defence including taking photographs of the incident location. Excellent service throughout this stressful experience, Dominic kept me updated regularly, cant thank him enough, I faced a driving ban, Dominic got it reduced to 5 points and a relatively small fine! Means I can keep working on the Covid research testing I am involved with, also because I live very rural, public transport, worse than useless.

I was unfairly charged with driving my wife's new car without insurance, however, she had told me it was insured. It happened during stressful times. Also, I had six points from speed cameras that were from three years ago. I was going to loose my license for six months. But Dominic managed too fight my case and win, as a result I was admonished, saving my license. I really recommend Dominic.

In my case i was facing a charge of dangerous driving with a strong possibility of losing my licence. This was later reduced tp careless driving and after a hard fought court case on the day of the trial, Dominic managed to have what would have been a ban reducrd to 5 points and a fine. I can not recommend Dominic more. He was excellent throughout my case and i felt he always advised me to do the very best for me and my personal circumstance.
