Having moved around the world many times, I have found Robinsons Relocation to be one of the best service providers in the business. I simply cannot say enough about how helpful and supportive the staff have been. Everyone from the back office - Theresa & Lauren - to the packing folks and the partners across the Pond. Truly a 5-star rating. Massive thanks to such a dedicated and talented crew!

The team at Robinsons moved us recently and the whole process from quotation to move was excellent. The teams took real care of our possessions and they could not do enough to help. One chap even re-assembled our grandfather clock that had been dismantled for transit. All in all, the whole experience was possitive and there was not a single breakage or mishap. Very competitive quote too. Not the cheapest but I have no regrets whatsoever in using them and woulf thoroughly recomend them to others.

I reached Peter very soon after making my first enquiry. He assessed the amount of contents I had to move during a video call (pre-arranged) and He sent me his quote swiftly. He became our dedicated removal consultant from start to finish. When you relocate time is the essence. I was at my 11th relocation in 15 years. I spent 1-2 weeks dwelling on which company to choose then I went for Robinsons. After that point I had a smooth sail. I had to use their storage for about 3 months and I had to have my items delivered in two sessions for renovation reasons without facing any issue at all. It was an affordable, efficient and (most importantly) reliable service. Sure, it is not the cheapest but it is also all your belongings we are talking about. They might have whatever market value but they are yours. They will make up your home wherever you go.

Tony and the team were very helpful and flexible with our move of over 300 miles. Moving house is never an easy process but Robinsons made it as close as it could be. Special thanks to Dave and Shane who worked tirelessly lifting and shifting. Highly recommended.

The team at Robinsons are Fantastic. I have used them for all our family moves over the last 7 years. Lara is the best person to have with you whilst you are planning your move. She certainly knows her business and provides the calm during one of the most stressful times. The team that moved us were brilliant. Friendly, professional and took great care of all of our items. From start to finish Robinsons were a great company to deal with! Lara, in the office was fantastic! She was very friendly & professional & was very understanding, patient & supportive when the Exchange & Completion Date kept changing. Tony very kindly came out to assess the amount to be moved, without me having to guess the size of vehicle required, as you need to do with other companies. He too was very helpful & friendly. On moving day the two guys that turned up (I'm so sorry I've forgotten their names!) couldn't have been more accommodating, respectful, patient and friendly - nothing was too much trouble for them! I don't normally do Reviews, but they were so good I felt it would be useful to other people. We chose Robinsons for our move as they assured us they were experienced with moving pianos and would ensure an antique chest of drawers would be packaged correctly to ensure no damage. Unfortunately for us both of these items were badly damaged, the acrylic piano has a huge scratch which is as the result of packing by Robinsons. The antique chest of drawers was put in the removal van with no packaging ( the quote provided confirmed specific packaging would be used ) and as a result is now also scratched. This item was a family heirloom, we are v upset this happened and the piano is now also ruined. Pale coloured sofas and chairs were handled with dirty gloves on and now have marks which cannot be removed. We have also discovered damage to many other items that were packed by Robinsons so were very disappointed.
The removal guys worked hard, although they did stop at 4pm on the day of removal as they were going out for the evening which we felt meant they were then rushing around the next day to get things finished, which in turn meant damage was caused to other items.
We also found it a bit awkward that they wanted to use our bathroom to get ready to go out in the evening on removal day and the next morning for a wash after sleeping in the van; this wasn’t a problem as such but this was our new home and we’d not used the bathroom so we found that a bit awkward.
It’s a shame, as the guys did work hard but for a few reasons we wouldn’t recommend to other people , especially if you have high value pieces of furniture.

On the 14th of Sept, Robinsons picked up my stuff for shipping to NY and I was happy and excited that I'd chosen a good company based on all the reviews I read on here about their service and shipping time. As I write this, it's 14 weeks and 5 days and I still haven't received my belongings! I was given an SLA shipping estimate of 8 - 16 weeks for delivery of my goods, this is the 15th week and I'm being told by the delivery company here in the US that the vessel hasn't even arrived NY yet, and it was supposed to arrive on the 17th of Dec! To say I'm HUGELY DISAPPOINTED with Robinsons would be an understatement. First off, it took them nearly 11 weeks to ship my stuff from London, so my things just sat in storage all that time! I kept following up via emails to find out what was going on, as once your belongings are picked up you won't receive any further information unless you're following up. My Christmas was ruined because I expected to have received my things by now, and I had family coming over to the states for Christmas so it was really important for me to be settled in before then but none of that has happened. I'm sleeping on an airbed in the middle of freezing NY winter because I've had to give up my sofa bed for family to sleep on, since my furniture has still not arrived. The SLA of 16 weeks (which by the way is ridiculous and the longest of any company I researched) is clearly going to be breached and I bet Robinsons will do nothing because they've been paid and as far as they're concerned, job done! Do your research and pay a bit more if you have to, for peace of mind in knowing that you will receive your belongings on time. Whatever cheaper price you may get from them is not worth the trouble of feeling unsettled in a new country you've moved to because they can't deliver on their service.

Update to my review:

Robinsons contacted me and promptly followed up with the delivery company Schumacher in the US to find out what was going on with the delivery of my goods. As it turns out, Schumacher failed to update their website to indicate that the ship did arrive to the NY port on the scheduled date and was cleared promptly. It was only after the director from Robinsons escalated to Schumacher that Schumacher updated their information and got in contact with me about arranging delivery of my belongings to my apartment. I have now received my belongings and I'm happy with Robinsons efforts to resolve the issue. It took 4 months for my belongings to arrive which would not have been my preference to have to wait that long, so I do think there is some room for improvement for shipping times but I now understand that Schumacher contributed to this delay and bear some responsibility for the hiccups in delivery. It's obvious Robinsons pride themselves on maintaining a good image so for that I will give them credit in the quick resolution of my issue.

They were very professional, friendly and helpful. They made moving day stress free and were very accommodating when we had to change the moving date last minute. We definitely recommend them anyone who is looking to move.

We hired Robinson Removals to move our 2 bed ground floor flat to a second floor flat and they moved everything with great care and consideration. They turned up on time and organised their own parking (a congested street which on I didn’t know the owners of the cars). They work wonderfully as a team and nothing is too much of a bother for them, in fact they admitted they enjoyed a challenge. I also have to say that they are good humoured and friendly.

We have been slowly unpacking for a week now and haven’t come across any damaged items or even a scratch.

I highly recommend them and after moving house many times over the years, doing the moving myself, I consider the cost of hiring a removal company as the best money I’ve spent in years. Will definitely use them again in the future.

The team came to the house, packed everything, and moved us to our new place. They were friendly, professional, and very careful with our things. They were also saints as our new house has four floors including a spiral staircase going up to the loft bedroom! Amazing team. Couldn’t recommend highly enough.
