I have been a member of Bedford Rock Choir since 2011. Over the years I have thoroughly enjoyed my weekly sessions - the warm-ups, learning some fantastic songs and the moves which have sometimes been challenging but to be fair it has made it fun! Since the first Lockdown in 2020, when our sessions were all done online, I found singing on my own a bit strange but over the months I came to enjoy it. I’ve got to know more of the members due to our chats before the start of the session. In all I would like to thank Rock Choir for all they have done over the years. I would certainly recommend joining Rock Choir I’ve had the opportunity to sing at the 02 for the Rock Choir Big Sing - singing along with members from over the country Visiting Disneyland Paris what an experience that was also recording at Abbey Road Studios There were opportunities to sing at various venues throughout my home town (too many to mention)
I’m glad I joined ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Joining Rock Choir was one of the best decisions I’ve made. I’ve been a member for over 9 years, sung super songs at all sorts of events and venues, made a new set of friends and have a whole new social life.
Rock Choir leaders are very well trained and make the whole experience so enjoyable and fun. Performances are offered but aren’t obligatory. I love doing them and have recorded at Abbey Road Studios, sung in Paris, taken part in the Edinburgh Festival, Children in Need, sung for the competitors in the Great Scottish Run and many more.
I can’t recommend Rock Choir highly enough. It’s fantastic!

I have been with Rock Choir for over 10 years now and I’d recommend it to everyone/anyone to try it out.
If asked to describe it I would say:-
“Inclusivity, warmth, no preconceptions, a 2nd family (with no bad bits).”

I've been a proud Rockie for over 9 years, joining is one of the best things I've ever done. I really look forward to rehearsals, our leader ensures we always have a bit of fun as well as learning new songs. There are opportunities to sing at local events for those that want to, and I absolutely love performing the songs we've learnt. These are usually fundraising occasions so you really feel you're making a difference as well as enjoying yourself and giving other people a great performance.
Through Rock Choir, amongst other things, I've recorded at Abbey Road studios, sung at the O2 and the NEC (on both occasions with large numbers of Rockies), performed with G4, travelled to Paris to sing outside Notre-Dame, and taken part in numerous workshops including one where we sang accompanied by a live orchestra.
Most important of all, I feel part of something. It continued, via zoom, throughout lockdown and I know it was a lifeline for a lot of members living on their own. Of course it was not the same as being in the room together, but as soon as we could, we did!
I've made good friends at choir, and met my best friend there. For me it has been joyous and life-changing to be a member of Rock Choir.

People are very welcoming. You don't have to be nervous even if you are not certain about your singing ability, there's a real atmosphere of acceptance and an emphasis on just having fun. The choir leader is great at getting everyone involved.

I joined Newton Abbot Rock Choir September 2015. I had been housebound for 6 years from complications form surgery. Joining Rock choir has given me back my confidence and happyness. I have made wonderful friendships who help and support me. We are one big Rockie family!

I joined RC during lockdown, singing to myself on Teams with hundreds of other Rockies doing the same in the comfort of our own homes. It is honestly the best thing I could have done! Rock choir has helped me improve my mental wellbeing, helped me to form amazing new friendships and above all, is great fun. Plus we do sound amazing as a collective when we sing together!
You don’t have to audition, or be an amazing singer, just have a love of singing. There is no pressure to perform at gigs either, with many just attending for the social aspect and enjoyment of singing. It is just fab, fab, fab!!!

I joined the Plymouth RC last year and only wish I had done it sooner. As well as making new friends and enjoying our once a week practices, I have visited places that perhaps I would never had experienced, whilst taking our music around South Devon. Highly recommended.

Hands down the best decision I made 4 years ago was to join the Rock Choir. Not only have I had so much fun learning the variety of songs, some of which our talented choir leaders have arranged, but I've made life long friends and attended some fantastic charitable events. Did I mention our choir leaders and Rock Choir HQ plus behind the scenes people who dedicate time to provide us with online resources and everything we need to perform at our best. If you want a joyful and soul uplifting time then join your local group. You won't be dissapointed.

I'm a newbie to Rock Choir but it's been a wonderful experience. The members are very friendly and encouraging. The song choices are great and when you hear all the harmonies come together.... it's magical. We have a lot of fun and Suzie, our leader in the Newport, South Wales group, really gets the best out of us all. She also has a great sense of humour which only adds to the experience. I love it and it's the high spot of my week. I would recommend it to anyone.

The best experience ever. If you love singing then come along. You’ll sing great music, be taught by fantastic teachers and meet so many new friends. You will have the chance to sing in places you could never have imagined. You don’t need to read music or have any experience. The only thing you need is a love of singing. You will never regret it. I promise!

I have only been a member of the Woodhall Spa group for 6 months but am loving every minute. The choices of songs are fun and I have access to a wealth of resources to help me learn old songs which I missed. Christina, our leader is wonderful and I have been made to feel so unconditionally welcome by everyone.

I joined Yate Rock Choir in 2016 - no audition or sheet music / we learn by rote with our fantastic Choir Leader Alex Hawker. I have made lovely friends, gained confidence and found endless support and enjoyment through singing and performing together. I’ve no hesitation in recommending Rock Choir.

I have been a member of Rock Choir for over 13 years and I can say it is one of the best things I have ever done. I have made some good friends and sang at some lovely venues. I look forward to rehearsal every week and even if you have had a bad week you always leave happier. The choir leaders are so good and very talented people. Rock Choir was such a relief to have during the Pandemic and they kept us going with lots of activities everyday online. There are no auditions and everyone is welcome.
