Got my Rockport shoes out to wear after…
Got my Rockport shoes out to wear after the Summer only to find the insoles had completely crumbled like dried up mud. What on earth type of material are they using.
I have been a Rockport customer since 1985
I have been a Rockport customer since 1985. They are the only brand of shoes I have worn on a daily basis for the past 37 years. I usually buy from a retailer, but I started getting ads from them on social media and thought I would give direct ordering a try. I now regret this.
My most recent purchase was for 2 pairs of shoes. One pair came. The other never did. I emailed 3 times to "consumer care." No reply until I threatened to do what I am doing now. But all I got was a "boiler plate" email reply for every possible complaint. I felt ripped off.
Today, I finally got an email saying that they were out of stock on one pair- but that didn't stop them from taking the order in the first place. I'm now 20 minutes on hold for their "customer care" line.
Consumer beware. If there is a problem with your order, they are going to blow you off until you make trouble. My advice,- don't buy direct from Rockport.
Great shoes. Horrible customer service.
PS: after >20 minutes on hold with "consumer care", I was told that the company has "numerous issues" and "system failures" they are dealing with and that's that. I asked why they continue to advertise for more business when they can't fulfill the orders they have. Answer: "we can't shut down our business."
I asked to speak with a supervisor or for management feedback. "No one is available...and they are already aware of the problems."
Again, consumer beware. Rockport is "having numerous issues" and "system failures." If you really want a Rockport product, I would suggest you buy from a trusted retailer.
Hydro-Sheild Shoes
I purchase the Hydro Shoes 3 months ago just wanted to report that the shoes did not wear well . The soles of the shoes were worn out within the 3 month period. I used them for work, I walk a lot being in the restaurant industry. Not a good everyday shoe, I must say a total waste of money .
The quality is not like old ones.
Buying these shoes for over 25 years and was very happy with the quality and comfort. Recently bought few of them on line and all were retuned. One was made in Chins and smells chemicals like hell. Those were made in India were having fitting issues. The medium, large, extra large, and extra extra large were identical in size and no differences !
No customer service after the sale
No customer service after the sale. I have worn Rockport shoes for over twenty years with no problems but this is the first pair I've bought in a few years and the only pair I didn't buy in a store. On 05 May 2022 I ordered a pair of Rockport shoes from their website. They were shipped 06 May 2022 and I received them on 12 May 2022. The left shoe has a defect which causes pain on my left foot. I sent their customer service a message that same day notifying them of the defect. I received a confirmation that they received the message the same day. After hearing nothing further from Rockport, on 18 May 2022 I sent them another message and I received another confirmation they had received the message. I have not heard anything from Rockport since. This is not the Rockport company I used to buy from and the shoes are not the same quality. The shoes are not the quality they used to be and there is no customer service after the sale. Today I read the Rockport reviews on the Amazon website. I wish I had read them before purchasing from Rockport. Do yourself a favor and read the reviews here and at Amazon before ordering.
Rockport shoes are really cheap…
Rockport shoes are really cheap quality. A complete ripoff. Also, they try to weasel out of their published return policy by claiming that they did not receive your return package. You must save the UPS return tracking number when sending them back shoes and then be prepared to fight with them. A truly disgusting company.
Poor quality shoes and customer service
Bought new Rockport Blucher to replace my old worn-out Blucher, same model, colour and size. Received my shoes yesterday and first observation was how cheap the plastic sole looked and felt. I wore my shoes for the first time this morning for a walk and it looks like the sole will wear out quite fast. Then the plastic tip on one of the laces split and Rockport Canada can't replace it, told to buy new laces myself, terrible customer support. My first pair was made in Vietnam, the ones I received yesterday were made in China. I definitely will not be buying their products anymore.
Order not shipped, no customer service.
I ordered shoes about two weeks ago and was told in a confirmation email that I would be notified when they were shipped. I have heard nothing since and when I called the number indicated in my confirmation, I was told the "team" is "unavailable by phone." So I can't find out whether this order has been or ever will be shipped. According to a FAQ on the website I cannot cancel the order. It looks like a very bad idea to do business with this company.

I paid for a pair of sandals that was very nice but I changed my mind about the style so I sent them back and they keep some of my money. Was not a mark place of the sandals but they still keep some of my money I won’t be messing with them again.
Rockport vhas turned into a "junk" shoe…
Rockport vhas turned into a "junk" shoe and the company does not stand behind the product. 3 weeks to respond, with comments like "can't, won't, not"... Nothing! I have purchased Rockports since the 80's, but NEVER again. They fall apart and the company could care less about customers or the products.
I purchased the Rockport Chranson shoe
I purchased the Rockport Chranson lace up shoe in Dec of 2020 directly from Rockport. These are shoes that I would wear seasonally in New England once it became cooler, did not wear in snow and not year round so they did not show any wear. They tore where the sole and sidewall of the leather meet. I did reach out to customer service in February but because they were over 1 year and regardless of the little wear, they did nothing. I will never purchase Rockport again nor recommend them.
poor quality / bad designs
Sadly, Rockport is no longer a quality name. I ordered shoes on amazon.ca and received them in good order only to split at the sole upper connection 6 months later. Granted their customer service was attentive, the replacement shoes were unwearable causing pain on the tops of my feet instantly due to a poor design. third times a charm right? i upgraded the shoes to 160 dollar slip-ons and they too are a problem. one shoe is smaller across the top than the other causing pain across the top of my left foot. i give up. i hope this review helps others to avoid an expensive disappointment.
I do not recommend this service
I do not recommend this service. Rockport are good if you can get them from a shop. Do not buy online from this place. There is a very big chance you will not see your order.
DO NOT BUY!!! YOU WILL NEVER RECEIVE THE ORDER
DO NOT BUY!!!
i placed an online order since Sept 2021 and i kept following on weekly because i was not getting shipping confirmation (a tracking number that was not trackable) They kept stalling for monthssss and until now i did not receive the boots.
When i kept following up they mentioned it was lost in shipment and all they can do is give me back 35%and that the factory stopped shipping....now they stopped even answering
They are stealing money from people shamelessly.
The guy in the callcenter bluntly told me "You want us to lose our sales?!!!"
i have no idea how this website is still running!
Such a disgraceful brand
Disgusting quality shoes
I'm a 20+ years customer of Rockport shoes. I had them in different shades. I replaced the black one and couldn't believe how it changed. I went to check on Google and after reading the comments I understand. These are some comments: Rockport decided to increase their profit by drastically downgrading the quality of the shoe. The soles are no longer made of high quality materials, but are now made of cheap foam rubber designed to wear out in less than a year (and they do).
, Rockport filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, citing a "costly and time-consuming separation" from their former owner, Adidas AG. Charlesbank Capital Partners purchased the company out of bankruptcy in July 2018; on July 23, the company's 60 brick-and-mortar retail locations were closed
Rockport offers dress shoes that are made with a choice of corrected grain leather or full-grain leather. Corrected grain leather is any leather whose surface has been altered in some sort of way or another in order to give it a certain finish, color or appearance, one that is not natural to the actual hi
The destruction of a great company.
I've been wearing Rockport shoes for well over twenty years, I loved their shoes, but no more.
Rockport shoes are now made of plastic with a cheap spray-on coating to make them look like leather, which is fine until a a few weeks of wearing them and the spray-on fake leather coating starts coming off. A little more wax I thought...but nooo, it continues to disintegrate. After a few months the soles will either break of fall off most of the shoe. This can be fixed with a six dollar tube of Gorilla Glue contact cement, but not the break in the sole.
Rockport shoes has succumbed to the bean counters and rid themselves of their annoying and costly quality control department, along with their customer care department, at least according to the reviews of their shoes.
Making a shoe for next to nothing yet maintaining the retail prices of actual quality shoes seems to be the new objectives of Rockport Shoes.
It's a real shame when a company that for decades produced a great product and then allows the destruction of that product to save a few dollars per pair.
Rockport Shoes have now become one of the worst shoes on the market today, it really is a shame to see a great company go down the tubes. My guess is that within a year or so Rockport Shoes will cease to exist.
If you own stock in this company, you might think about dumping it while you can, Robert Infantino is hell bent on leading this company into oblivion.
If i could give a zero, I would
If i could give a zero, I would.
I have been waiting for 6 weeks for my order, it's lost in Australia post, and they say 'oh, just wait another 3 weeks before lodging another enquiry'.
Meanwhile, they have my money, and I don't have my order.
Why, why, why does anyone use Australia Post, acknowledge on their website that there will be delays, and keep using them??
Waste of time to order, and NO customer service.
I placed two separate orders for Rockport shoes. The shoes were shown to be in stock. The first order was cancelled with the reason being "out of stock". My credit card was charged, but refunded. I then went onto the Rockport.com site, and found the shoes in question were still available in the size/color of the original order. The Rockport site showed 13 pairs of the shoes "in stock". Same as the first order, my order was cancelled by Rockport, credit card charged, then refunded. I tried Rockport customer service via their 800 line. No service available, instead a recording to contact them via email. I sent emails, and finally received one reply which did not address my clearly stated issue. Goodbye Rockport...
Rockport customer service sucks
If I could give zero stars i would. I bought a pair of " non-slip" shoes and the first day I wore them to work I nearly fell on my ass! I wore them a couple of days just to be sure and were slipping and sliding all over the place. When I wear my sketchers which cost me half the price I never once had a problem slipping or sliding at work at all. I called customer service who were very nice in the beginning and they sent me a prepaid shipping label to send them back to be evaluated. I was told as soon as they get them they will call or email me their findings and send me out a new pair of shoes upon that conclusion. Its been 3 weeks and I have heard nothing! I've called them 10 times and have been told 10 times that a supervisor would call me the next day. That never happened. So as of now I have been wearing my old torn up sketchers and I am out $150. Rockport has my shoes and my money and they dont have the decency to let me know whats going on. I know they recieved my shoes because i checked to tracking number which says they received them the day after they were shipped. Not a very good way to do business. To totally ignore me is not right!
Poor Customer Service
First time buying from Rockport online, found a pair of brown loafers I liked and felt like the price was good. When they arrived they had wear scuffs and a scratch on one of the shoes. I thought things happen, no big deal so I sent pictures to their customer service team to see what could be done. After several days and me following up again with an email, I get a response that a credit of $10 is all that can be offered since my shoes are out of stock. I called customer service today to ask if there is more of a credit that can be given to save me the hassle of returning, but no I was told that was the best they could do and I should just return the shoes. So now I get to waste a lunch break driving 30 minutes round trip to a UPS and wait 3-4 weeks for a refund. First time and last time ordering from Rockport
