Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 31 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people were dissatisfied with the customer service, finding it horrendous, difficult to reach, and staffed by agents who were perceived as rude, unprofessional, and unhelpful, often providing inconsistent information. Customers also encountered significant issues with payments, including lengthy processing times for electronic payments, unexpected blocks on transactions without explanation, and problems with overpayments not being resolved. Reviewers also reported frustrations with the card's value, particularly regarding foreign transaction fees that negated rewards, and concerns regarding payment allocation on balance transfers. Some people also felt that the process for identity verification was cumbersome and that the bank's security measures, such as locking cards during travel, were poorly handled.

I am upgrading from 1 to a 3

I am giving one star because zero is not an option. Rogers is refusing to submit a chargeback for a service I never received and will not pay it. They have been calling me numerous times, wasting my time and refusing to submit my evidence. Asking for evidence that is impossible to provide. Absolute scam of a credit card company. Beware, run away fast! Not a proper Mastercard.

Update: after much difficulty, and far too much effort considering the circumstances, they did me a "favour" according to the correspondence I received, and they did their duty to submit my chargeback. But not before putting me through a hellish experience for what was a fraudulent $100 credit card charge for services not performed

Be aware about Roger's Bank wrong scam advertise for Master Card: Roam like Home discounts for 5 days for new mastercard. Before traveling confirmed with customer service that my card linked to my cell phone. Wasted my several hours with customer service transferrring one to another without any useful explanation.

Garbage company and service

Garbage company and service, needs to go under ASAP. Normally use my Amex complementary lounge entry, but cuz they were full I crossed the hall to a lounge who accepts Rogers Bank dragon pass. The reception advised they were closing in less than 45min, I asked how much was the lounge with my membership, the reception entered my membership number into their computer and advised it was free, next day there’s a $90 charge. I essentially payed $90 to sit on a couch and watch the crew clean the lounge and kitchen. Both Rogers bank and dragon pass advised me that it was my fault for believing their employee at reception and should have verified the lounge fees online rather than taking the lounge employees word.
Rogers bank refuses to dispute the charge as it is their affiliate, even though dragon passes website says to dispute any complaints with your bank on their website.
Imagine shopping and being told a total price at the cash register and then finding the charges on your statement higher than advised at the store. Afterwards being told by your bank that it’s your fault for not verifying the costs online before going to the cash register.
Honestly appalling service.

Lack of service and protection low quality bank

The company claims to offer protection for fraudulent charges. Most difficult and scam process I am going through. This bank has the process open for more then 1 year for a single dispute! The bank employees you can never geld a hold of for the dispute department despite contacting via email and voicemail no response. They don’t want to reverse fraudulent charges cause it caused them money. There service is very poor especially compared to any other bank. Stay away don’t let promotions fool you. Not a dependable card.

I was their customer for 5 years

If you want to give yourself a headache and lose your money, be sure to open an account in this bank, I came to this conclusion after 5 years of working with this cheap bank. This is a recommendation that you never use this bank and don't get into trouble like me.

There is no reliable system and they only have employees who want to justify

Rogers World Elite Mastercard worst customer service ever?

Beware where is the zero star option for their credit card products. They suck you in on great rewards and insurance in
Reality all false promises. All rogers bank creditcard insurance products are not true or a mechanism to bait and switch terms to not help you. I have had a number of interactions After the 5th one this company is being boycotted. They do not honour anything; they will fraud block your credit card when you change something as basic as a phone number they limit
Staff hours so you cannot talk to them when you have an issue. They limit their liability to 30 days even on fraud perpetuated by online merchants so you have no response. Please
avoid rogers bank at all costs i have cancelled and moved to amex as a stop gap.
Is rogers bank running a
A Ponzi scheme? Time will tell, but from first hand experience when you have a real issue and it counts they will screw you and cost you time/money. Anyone with positive reviews for these guys are probably paid actors or reputation defenders you have been warned! Cancel and run as fast as possible to literally anyone else wow these people suck.
