Do not recommend

Do not recommend. The owner says she cares about the properties as she owns them and has interest in keeping them nice and modern. Ultimately you have to chase for things to get done. We have had issues with the hot water 5 times this year already, each time a different issue. We have a garden, and this was left to get overgrown and we were told to be patient as the gardener was too busy to come round. We then chased a month later and the gardener came that week. No emergency number, so urgent issues don't get dealt with until the next working day. This means if you loose your key, get locked out of the house / an urgent issue like no heating or large leak etc cannot be dealt with until the next working day. Luckily hot water and heating have been our only issue, but we did go Easter weekend without, as well as other weekends this year. Additionally you have to pay for washing and drying which is only highlighted once you receive the contract, this is not highlighted at the viewing. You pay 20p for 20 mins, but the machines have no setting for 20 / 40 minutes etc, so you will always be paying a little more than you need. Landlord is quite unprofessional, quite argumentative on emails. Makes sure you read through your contract, there are clauses like not allowing fans in rooms (house is unbearably hot, like all houses, in 30 degree weather in the UK).

Pros: gives at least 24 hours notice for access to property. All communication through an app so everything is on record, though the app crashes a lot (not landlords fault). Kitchen is set up for house share, two hobs and two fridge freezers, so you're not struggling for space.
