They lost everything I had with them…
They lost everything I had with them including a VPS that I paid over $600 for. All this withing 6 months. They would lie and tell me that the server was up when it was down and blame my connection. I monitor my websites with a SaaS service and it was reporting they were down constantly.
In the end they were hacked and all data including backups lost. they sent out an email blaming the people who supplied their software (not themselves). Honestly they were like little kids who broke something and blamed everyone but themselves. Even blamed PLESK for having slow restore times (month they said. Then they just disappeared with my money and my emails and my website content. It took me six weeks to restore from my root content stored offline. I am now with siteground. Most months 100% uptime and exceptional support. If you intend to make a website of value then don't go near these guys. They are now trying to sell again on Stacksocial. Dont waste your time and efforts on building anything with RootPal. As I said I lost my website, my emails and my nextcloud instance.

I would give this company no stars if possible. They are absolutely awful. If you ever get a response from their support team which is highly unlikely, they are not helpful and incredibly unfriendly. The server is never up and running if you care about your Web posting or domain names I strongly suggest you stay well away from this company.

They abused an Appsumo deal and sold thousands of deals, then they locked the access and destroyed all hosted content of customers. Never replied and stole the money. Do not purchase anything from these scammers.

Took the money and ran - disappeared.
A real problem for Appsumo
If you want to lose access to sites and the host not respond. Choose rootpal
Customer services are yet to respond to issued notified weeks ago.
I own multiple websites and all are down. Root pal for the whole of this month have not responded.
Contact has been made via website and their social media messaging.
The service is unacceptable.

Unable to chat, create a ticket or email Rootpal Support
I just emailed Rootpal's help email address shown on their website, because I have not been able to log into "My Account" from the main page. All the contact links and chat links are disabled.
Upon sending an email inquiring about it, I instantly received the message below from the Mail Delivery Subsystem.
The response from the remote server was:
550 5.4.1 Recipient address rejected: Access denied. AS(201806281) [DM6NAM12FT073.eop-nam12.prod.protection.outlook.com]
I've been trying to access my domain nameserver info for almost 2 months and the "Chat live now" "Ticket Us" Links don't work and their "Help" email address is rejecting emails.
I'm having a sickening feeling they may have folded or bailed. I suppose I should write this off as a loss at this point.
I've experienced nothing but problems since switching over to them in 2021. I really tried to give them a chance until my sites were down for more than 3 weeks.
They had a big outage from mid Aug-Sep with 2 or 3 status-related-communications to their customers. Which was unacceptable.
So there's no support or no way to access any of my account-related information from their main page.
Luckily my sites are hosted elsewhere but Rootpal is my domain registrar :(
It will be interesting to know what happens when domain renewal time comes around in 2023.
Anyway I've learned that investing in cheaper web hosting services doesn't always mean the service is reliable. This was the case with Rootpal Hosting!
I would give 0 star if I could
I would give 0 star if I could. Scammers.
Don't touch them
Don't touch them. Very unreliable hosting and a complete waste of time if you actually need a business website / email online.
Dead in the water.
Looking from the outside everything seems okay. My websites are online as is the Rootpal homepage.
This is where the good news ends. You can't log into the control panel and all support pages etc on the website are down.
At this point I think it's just a matter of time before the rest goes. Very sad.
Pathetic Hosting provider
Absolute garbage hosting provider, gave promises on lifetime hosting and half of the time the services are down and not even providing refund too
Bought the deal from stocksocial which is also known as scam social.
Do you want a website that is 99% down?!
Do you want a website that is 99% down instead of up?! Do you want a cloud storage where data ISN'T secured and unavailable for 99,99%? The rootpal is your company to go to!
Never in my life had such a bad experience with a hosting company in every single way. More down then up, they are never to blame, always due to whmcs, Plesk you fill in another company/system if you want... Support NOT there, logging into account down for God knows how long now.
This hell been going on for months, I restored own backups and moved all to reliable hosting companies.
Classic Scam, stay away!
Classic Scam. They raise money on AppSumo with fancy offers, then start with good systems. After a couple of months, problem started, vast down and no support, and then vanish at all. Now they are offline and unresponsive at all. Stay away (even they will try to burn up system).
The most terryfing hosting deal ever bought
When I saw the Appsumo lifetime deal one stack $100 I was sceptical since I would never put client websites on a hosting company that sells lifetime deals. So I have decided to invest in one code and use it for my web development. The idea was to test sites, plugins, themes, website builders there.
Initially the experience seemed good, but after a few months started the issues. Long story short: I have had ten dev sites down since months ago. You cannot even imagine how many support thickets I had to open. If you want to prevent nightmares, just avoid this company at all costs.
Lifetime webhosting sites go out of business (again) & keep the $$$
Another "lifetime" web hosting site that takes individuals $$$ and then in about a year's time after they start up they go out of business, keep the $$$ they have collected, restart their business under a different business name, rise & repeat and screw over people again.
I'm no longer dealing with such lifetime hosting websites. The age old saying "...You get what you pay for..." sure springs to mind and has proven yet again to be true.
I have had nothing but problem after problem with this firm and now their website is permanently down. I have therefore contacted their parent company whom rootpal is a reseller for, in order to get my registered domain name "released" so I can transfer it to another web hosting firm, (since one can't sign into rootpal's site, there is no way to send trouble tickets to them and the info AT rootpal DOT com and help AT rootpal DOT com email addresses both bounce when you try to email them).
Due to the above, I had to search and find rootpal's parent company that rootpal is simply a reseller of web hosting services for, in order to get my registered domain name "released" back to me so I can find a legitimate / reputable web hosting company to host my domain. By the way, rootpal's parent company is: enom DOT com and you'll have to contact them if you're like me (an unlucky rootpal idiot who paid rootpal for a lifetime web hosting and ended up getting about one years worth of horrible web site / email hosting from (rootpal's up time / availability has been "down" more than it has been up).
I will never again go with these long on promises but short on delivery type of "lifetime web hosting firms" for they simply create a lot of sells from gullible and overly cost conscious dummies (like me), run the business for less than a year, go out of business, keep the $$$ from everyone whom paid them, and then create a new company under a different name, rise repeat and get more $$$ again. What a business plan!
My advice on all such crap lifetime website hosting firms is to steer clear of them like the plague.
STAY AWAY (WARNING)
If you're looking for a reliable and affordable web hosting service, Rootpal is not the right choice. I invested $300 on their Appsumo deal, and now my websites are down and I can't get any support from Rootpal. Their user portal is also down, so I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
Rootpal is a total scam. Do not waste your money on this company. Once i got a chance to talk and asked for refund and they refused straight away, moreover it's Appsumo's responsibility and when i talked to them they are also refusing for refund even though it's their fault to bring on board a fake company.
So for me ROOTPAL and APPSUMO both are fraudulent companies.
The WORST hosting "deal" in history
Purchased a three code stack on AppSumo, but immediately started having unexplained outages, so I refunded two of them. Missed the window on refunding the third, so I have been a witness to the train wreck of a dumpster fire that has been RootPal for the last year. Down for weeks/months, broken promises, now it appears to be completely down. I assume for good. I consider it a lost cause at this point.
