Her actual name wasn't poppet
Her actual name wasn't poppet. When we picked up the abandoned Jack Russell from the dogs home we named her Doris.
Poppet became an affectionate term for her, we used to say 'come on poppet'.
Doris was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer in December and given just a few months to live.
We lost her a few weeks ago.
We needed a plant for the garden to mark the spot where she lay and were surprised to come across a plant called 'Pink Poppet' on Rotherhill's website. The perfect plant.
The plant arrived from Rotherhill and it looked gorgeous. Large, healthy and close to flowering.
It now has pride of place in the garden and we look out onto it every day.
