Extremely Misleading Products & Poor Customer Service
I purchased an “interactive car ornament” from Roustwake that was advertised as a digital, reactive accessory that responds to your driving. I paid USD 100 for two sets, believing it was a unique product.
Minutes after purchasing, I discovered the exact same item on Shopee for around USD 5. I immediately emailed Roustwake to cancel the order. They replied within minutes, but claimed the item had already been shipped—this was within 15 minutes of my order, which was highly suspicious. They insisted I try the product first and request a refund later if unsatisfied. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt.
Weeks later, the items finally arrived. What I received was nothing like the product shown in their advertisement video. Instead of a digital, reactive ornament, it was simply a basic 3D-printed figurine with no interactive features at all, as a 3D printing user myself the product cost less than 2USD each to produce.
When I requested a refund, they refused to accommodate and conveniently removed the product listing from their website.
This company inflates prices massively for items that can be bought anywhere else for a fraction of the cost. The advertising is misleading, the product quality is poor, and the customer service is evasive.
Do not purchase from Roustwake. Save your money and buy from reputable platforms instead.
Ordered 2 PS5 controllers, received 2 PS4 controllers. Contacted them and they said they shipped the product as ordered (screenshots show this is not true). They offered $8 in compensation. I said I wanted a return, they then offered $10. They stated a return would be costly and I would have to pay to ship to their Chinese warehouse, even through it shipped from the UK. They refuse to acknowledge their error or provide a refund so I am just out $100.
This is a scam company. Stay away for them.
I bought two transfer pumps from their website for transferring liquids for one place to another.
The pumps were described for use with A de Walt battery from a drill.
I understood it would be powerful and useful.
Instead the product arrived after about a month in transit.
The box was all damaged and the pumps inside the package was cheap pieces of plastic that was not what they had described and was powered with AA batteries.
It would not even work. It was like a child’s toy.
I wrote to them and they were of no help at all. They would not admit they made a mistake
I paid them €80 for the product.
They replied that if I wanted my money back , I had to send the products back to them to China at my own expensive.
So it cost me €30 to return and €80 purchase.
I have returned the product now and they keep replying that it is in transit.
They were at fault for sending the wrong product and it was rubbish.
Do not get caught like I did. There are various reports online that I discovered to late that they are a scam
This company is a scam and fraud
