I’ve had a great experience with RouteNote. The platform is easy to use and helps independent artists distribute their music worldwide without stress. It’s a reliable and supportive service that makes music release simple and professional.

Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The process of getting my music uploaded took an extremely long time — it honestly feels like it takes forever for releases to be approved and published. For an artist who needs consistency and proper release planning, these delays create serious problems.
I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for fast and reliable distribution.

Recently, YouTube experienced an issue with releasing new tracks onto its channels. RouteNote, the music distributor for my band Blak Hohl, was incredibly helpful in resubmitting the missing tracks and ensuring I was satisfied with the results. Kyle is due praise for his professional and friendly demeanour, which was refreshing!

Routnote Brought my songs down from all platforms with the claim that it was matching artificial streams, since April 2025 they told me that they'll have to investigate and do a Manuel verification before they pay me..
this is February 6th , routnote stopped responding to my tickets, blocked me from ever uploading again ....
my $82 earnings from hardwork was held till date, atleast if they have scammed me they should have told me so I can accept my fate, other platforms will inform you if they suspect any artificial streaming so you can do an internal investigation, but routnote will be so delighted to immediately hold on to your earnings even after they have taken their own commission and other hidden charges from the allerged fake streams.....
I suspect the support agents are responsible for this scam and it should be looked into
stealing from someone living in a poor country is Evil and the management of routnote should fight evil at all cost

Waited for moderators to approve my release for over a month — they disapproved my release without any clarification. Really terrible service.

worst app, there's no answer for you ticket support and my release is way too long to be reviewed and one of my track upload suddenly disappear and there's no info about it. hahaha what a joke

While I was upset that one of my albums Human was taken down because "my content has been identified as matching artificial streaming patterns," and I had not been notified by RouteNote that my music was taken down, I was happy with RouteNote's responsiveness and ability to put the music back up.

I submitted some original instrumental releases with a 3-week lead time, only to have them all rejected 24 hours before the release date. RouteNote provides only generic, automated rejection reasons and their support team refuses to offer specific clarifications. Most frustratingly, the system completely deletes rejected releases, meaning all metadata and hours of work are lost instantly. I cannot recommend this distributor for serious artists.

I’ve been using RouteNote for almost 5 years now, and overall my experience has been very positive.
I’ve never had serious problems with the platform. The website is simple, easy to understand, and very clear about how distribution works. The ecosystem they offer is also quite useful — tools like RouteNote Create and other features really help independent artists who do everything on their own.
One thing I see many people complaining about is the delay in releases and support responses. Personally, I understand this. RouteNote works with more than one million artists, so delays are expected. I usually plan my releases at least one month (or more) in advance, and this completely avoids frustration. In fact, this slower pace has even helped me stay more organized. That said, I do think they could benefit from expanding their team and adding new features to the platform more frequently.
Whenever I needed to contact support and open tickets, my issues were always resolved. Even though the responses can take some time, I’ve never been ignored or left without a solution.
I’m a fully independent artist, and for artists who can’t afford faster paid distributors, or who don’t release dozens of tracks every month, RouteNote is a solid option. You do need patience — but if you plan ahead, it works very well. I’ve never felt uncomfortable using the service, and I personally recommend it.
