Rover met my expectations and more

My experience booking my pet sitter have been great. The service is good and the communication thru the app is good.
This is my second experience booking and I don't have nothing bad to say.
At first I selected someone that can speak my language and it has been a great experience.

The five stars are really for our dogsitter, whom our dog adores. She is responsible, capable, willing, and treats our dog like we do--as her child! For Rover, the website is a little non-intuitive, as I have thought before, but really think now, that I wasn't able to figure out when I needed to amend the dates needed, despite asking the AI for help and getting the same non-answer. For that, three stars would be more appropriate.

The Rover pet sitting app is fantastic

The Rover pet sitting app is easy to use and helps us find the very best sitters for our cat and dogs. Rover alerts you when your sitter begins service so you can chat if you need and let's you know when they are finished. We have used this service many times and will continue to do so in the future!

I booked a listing over a month in…

I booked a listing over a month in advanced and then a couple weeks later they canceled, no problem but have to wait 5 days to be reimbursed. Then I book a second and they cancelled they day before the booking, again have to wait 5 days for my money back and now stressing to find a sitter before my trip.

Awful

If I could give it 0 stars I would !! I joined cat in a flat and have been happily booking the same sitter for years, I would book holidays in advance book the sitter and the money would be taken the day before. They have now joined with rover and now it’s a complete and utter mess all my bookings which had been submitted and confirmed are now not booked,obviously because they hasn’t been paid for up front !!
My favourite sitter I count find ! I will not use this app again I will go elsewhere why fix something that isn’t broken !! I actually feel sorry for the mess they have put the sitters in .. all those bookings now not confirmed, utter chaos!!

I am a cat sitter with Cat in a Flat, who merged with Rover.com

I am a cat sitter with Cat in a Flat, have been so for 10 years. My years there have been positive and I have gradually built up a good number of loyal clients.

Cat in a Flat recently joined up with Rover.com.
As a sitter I wasn't aware of this change, until I couldn't access my account. Then when I realised they had merged, the difficulties in getting set up were horrendous.

After I finally managed to get my account up and running, it was full of inaccuracies. None of my bookings were verified, despite being booked and verified before this change. Several errors occurring.
No one showing as a current booking. There should be five showing.

One client has contacted me to express their concerns that the bookings they made, has a match of 65 sitters, and none with my name. I'm the only sitter they use.

I requested a booking be modified and they deleted the whole booking. It was only one date which needed to change. Unfortunately, as the booking was pending, I have no other way to contact this person.

I have been advised Rover take the whole of the payment immediately, even though it's several months until the booking.

I can safely say I have lost bookings now, due to Rover's incompetence. I am not the only sitter/owner to have these issues. As when I contacted Rover for help, they advised they were inundated with queries and questions from other sitters/owners.

Wonderful company

Great first experience with Rover

This is the first time I used Rover to watch my dogs while I was out of town. I was a little apprehensive having someone unknown dropping in and caring for my fur babies. I was very pleasantly surprised with the service, care, and over all experience with the caretaker I booked. He was so responsible and friendly. My dogs were so well cared for by him. He was very communicative and punctual and I felt comfortable having him come to my home. I will strongly recommend both him and Rover for pet care. I will also used this service again.

Calm and Understanding

We had uncertain plans because of events in the Middle East and had to cut our trip short because of illness and airline trouble. Through all this confusion, Malcom and Rover Support were there for our Theodore and helped us through all the “bumps in the road”. Theodore came home relaxed and happy!
