Bought dishwasher at beginning of…

Bought dishwasher at beginning of lockdown. Needed installation too, which they agreed to do even though social distancing was an issue. Excellent service all round and keen pricing too.

Poor customer service

Called this company to double check items were in stock before I ordered online (items had been added to my basket, stated they were in stock and that delivery would be in 3 days) - on phone I was told they were out of stock, I suggested they updated their website to reflect this and was hung up on! Awful customer service

Superb Service as usual.

Everytime I use Ruislip Appliances I get the best customer service and zero issues. As a really fussy customer I am genuinely hard to impress and so previously always shopped at John Lewis. Two years ago, after a recommendation I have started shopping at Ruislip Appliances. One Smeg cooker and hood, Bosch dish washer and washing machine and a Neff refrigerator later, you could say I am fully converted. Cant recommend enough.

Considerate and caring

I just wanted to say thank you so much to the man from Ruislip Appliances (Nick i think) who saw that I was an NHS worker and paid for my lunch on Friday. What a diamond! I have no doubt that with such consideration and generousity his customers are in good hands. He made my day (although I was a little embarassed!)

I have been shopping with them for…

I have been shopping with them for years but not any more

The staff is quite rude after they sold the item I purchased and paid to other customers. The gentleman refers himself as 'Head of Online Sales' just hanged off the phone in the middle of the conversation when I mentioned I am not very happy with this. Unbelievable! (they did issue full refund, thank god)

It is such a shame for a local shop to behave like this now. The problem here is they will do ok/well on the 'happy path'. However the hassle comes if anything goes wrong, such as stock issue, delivery damage etc.

This makes me thinking that it is really not worth buying from them any more. They are not selling any cheaper than John Lewis/AO.com and they don't have the bottom line on customer service. Basically you have to accept what they say, take it or leave it. Fantastic service! Things didn't work this way a few years ago. What went wrong Nick?

Sorry i have no idea about your order as we dont use trustpilot anymore and i cant see any order refrences to audit it back to.

Nevertheless i am sorry you felt the need to post a review,

With graded stock and end of line offers we sell as they are unique serial numbers and we sell on different platforms, EBAY etc. Items could of been sold twice, (not ideal i know) so we have now implemented an API with Ebay so it should not happen again, in these instances we always refund customers and try to find a close alternative,

As for being "no cheaper than AO or JLP" thats not really possible any more ! , as you might know John Lewis are "never knowingly undersold" and AO make all there money on extras like delivery slots and warranty's, we dont charge premiums for these but we do price match these industry leading discounters.

I am not sure if we will ever get the chance to help you in the future, i hope we do and if so i am sure we will get it right as you put earlier in your review "I have been shopping with them for years" we do get that a lot from clients.

Super service - unbelievable turnaround time

On a tight deadline as our kitchen fitters needed our dishwasher to install to add as an integrated appliance I visited the john lewis website to find our appliance was out of stock.
On the off chance I went on to the Ruislip Appliances website (Sunday night) found the same dishwasher, they had price matched JL ordered it and would you believe they delivered it to our home address the next day - super service sooooooo impressed.
We would definitely use them again !

Superb product selection, delivery and installation

Have used Ruislip Appliances for many years now and have always found them to be most courteous and extremely helpful with product selection. Installation has always been superb, arriving on time, very efficient, cleaning up properly and checking thoroughly that everything is working correctly. We had a run of breaking appliances just before Christmas - built in oven & hob, microwave, fridge freezer and finally built in washing machine. Will definitely use again when next thing breaks!! Many thanks.

FIrst class service

Had some doubts seeing this company's ratings on Trust pilot. But they were first class.

They could supply a new washer-dryer for us quickly and at a very good price. Two very pleasant chaps came to fit it two days later.

Result, one very satusfued client.

Rude when calling them
Freezer took 3 weeks to arrive-not 5 days as promised-no one kept us updated
Unable to give us a time of arrival-even when phoning on the day
Added a charge to take old freezer away without warning us
Freezer arrived dented

Excellent service advice and price !!!

I recently visited Ruislip Appliances to look for a whole range of goods for my kitchen refit.
I was recommended to the place by a friend who had recently gone there.
I got advice on the latest models and their functions. I ended up buying my hob cooker, fridge, washing machine and tumble dryer there.
I checked on line and locally the best prices for the models I had finally selected and this place came out on top.
The choice of makes and models was also really good.
I would definitely go back there

Very poor after-sales service, was good when ordering.

I bought a graded 1 SIEMENS combination oven, as described on website, all good as new as boxed, except for the declared small dent at the top, but I knew that, so that's ok. Delivery was good (although some delays due to oevn being stuck on demo mode), but again, it happens, no prob.
The trouble is when I call back after 1 week, to report that 1 of the 3 accessories was missing, the wire rack - an essential item for convention oven baking. After-sales customer service was rude, made you feel that you are in the wrong, insisting there were only 2 and nothing was missing. Called 3 times, and I feel upset and bullied. Still no resolved, they are still making it VERY difficult. I am not asking much, just want to resolve the matter in a professional way. Very rude people.

Outstanding service from a very reliable company

I had a Rangemaster cooker delivered today and the team took a lot of time and trouble to ensure it was manoeuvred through my house with no damage to either fabric or cooker. It was easily and quickly installed and is working perfectly and looks great. All in all a splendid job from a company I have used very successfully many times in the past and will do so again.

Top service and great prices.

I popped into Pembroke Rd store and the staff could not have been more attentive, their prices aren't as cheap as the Internet but if you want knowledge and service these guys are top draw I personally believe you get what you pay for and I am very happy with my purchase. Reccomend in a heart beat.

i have never received such awful customer service in my life.

I purchased a fridge freezer from the Ruislip store on the 4th October the delivery was booked in for the 8th October. I then received a call on the 7th to inform me the fridge that was supposed to be delivered was faulty and would not be able to get a new one in till the following week but would call me to inform me when the new one is in. I waited until the 15th until I called in to find out If the replacement had been delivered, I was told I would get a call back which didn't happen, I then called in again on the 16th to be told it was being delivered on the 17th and the delivery would be booked for the 20th. I then decided to cancel the order as the whole way through the process the customer service has been awful. I was told the refund would be processed on the day and would take 2-3 working days to reach my account I called the shop on the 20th to ensure the refund had been processed and was told it had been done. Its now the 22nd October and im still without my £400. I called the shop today to find out what is going on to be told someone would check and call me back within 1/2 an hour. I waited till an hour and a half later then called back and spoke to Tristan the manager to then be told the refund had not been processed at all. He then started to shout down the phone at me I was agitated by this point but did not shout and im the one missing £400. he then hung up on me and when I said I would make an official complaint and never be shopping there again was told good! I have never received such disgusting customer service in all my life especially from a manager!!

We have apologised to the customer in this instance , there were confusions in the time it takes for the banks to credit a card back , and confusion because the day the replacement model arrived into us the customer canceled it.

Very expensive and overpriced, yet unhealthy practice and ill customer service!

We went to buy a new washing machine as the old one served its duty after many faithful years.

I had Argos and Bosch in mind but our grandmother wanted to go to Ruislip Appliances. We got there and as usual like any place, we were greeted by friendly and 'helpful' sales person. He advised my grandmother to get a Bosch but "Graded" as he convinced her its best value for her money £279.99. We were told if we paid £30 extra, they would also collect the old machine and install the new one for us. Everything went smoothly and we were happy that we got a nice, good machine.

However, the trouble started when the machine was delivered to our house. The deliver men refused to remove the old machine, and also they refused to installed the new one. He just left the 'Graded' Bosch machine just next to the front door of our house in Worple Way, Harrow. They told that the installation and removal were not in their instruction and they left. Only my grandmother, who is in her 80's, was at home at the time and so confused and did'nt know what to do.

After she told me, I rang the company and asked why it happened in the first place. They arranged that they would come the next 2 days to finish the job. However, they never came! So I rang again, and now they wanted to charge another £30 extra to install the machine for us.

And to rub salt into the wound, they said they want to take 25% off the invoice if we decided to return the machine back to them. Such ill practice should never be happened in the first place and I don't know whether all of the positive feedback on Trustpilot here were real.

In restropect, we should have gotten the machine in Argos for just 249.99 (or 280.00 with Intall/Recycle/Delivery) and Brand New not "Graded" like Ruislip Appliances.

I never understand why such company like Ruislip Appliances can survice in such current corporate dominated consumer market. However, now I totally know how they do so by trying to take advantage of the trust of previous generation like my grandmother to keep staying afloat rather than providing best customer experience and gain new customers.

we called back to you and fitted the machine , and I understand you are all sorted now ,

the delivery team did tried calling you to explain the issues which meant they could not fit and your valve sticking on the day they delivered but the numbers your mum had for you did not connect.

perhaps in hindsight we could ask you to review your review and maybe give us another star or two....

Great value - good advice

Good advice and great value appliances, delivered on time and brought into the house. Useful to get all of the technical specs e-mailed through as well prior to delivery. Happy to recommend.
