Utterly disastrous experience

Utterly disastrous experience — absolutely one to avoid. I genuinely regret ordering from RUNKD. I received my order, but I was charged unexpected extra fees that were never clearly disclosed at the time of purchase. When I reached out to customer service, the reply was fast but completely devoid of empathy or any sense of responsibility. Instead of trying to solve the issue, they simply pushed the blame back on me and refused to acknowledge the problem.

The whole situation gave me the impression that RUNKD looks like a “good deal” from the outside, but it’s actually a trap. Hidden charges, zero transparency, no accountability when things go wrong, and a customer support team that acts as if the customer is the problem rather than worth helping.

I genuinely do not recommend this website to anyone. There are far more reliable and customer-focused platforms out there. RUNKD was a huge disappointment from start to finish. Avoid at all costs.

We would like to clarify how customs duties work for orders shipped outside the European Union. Since we are based in Italy and all orders ship from within the EU, any parcels going to non-EU countries may be subject to customs duties and import taxes once they reach the destination country. These fees are not set or collected by RUNKD, and unfortunately we cannot estimate them in advance, as they depend entirely on the local customs authority.

For transparency, this information is clearly stated during checkout, including the note that additional fees may apply for extra-EU shipments. We understand that customs charges are never pleasant, but they are a standard requirement for international shipments.

SCAMMERS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Terrible company will never ever order from them again! I ordered pair of trainers that I had to pay vat on which was £70! The trainers cost me £170 then had to pay VAT on top I couldn't afford this. So I sent them back and still haven't received my money this was over 3 months ago. Ive been emailing RUNKD they keep telling me the money is on its way? I haven't received a thing! I can't believe I haven't received the money yet which I don't thin I'm ever going to get. Please don't make the same mistake as me.

As we advise in the cart, for extra EU clients duty fees apply on the parcel and they must be paid before delivery. Since custom procedures are out of our control, unfortunately we cannot advise our clients how much custom fees will be.

If the custom charges are not paid in full within a certain time, the shipment is sent back to the sender.
In case the parcel comes back to us due to rejection, shipping fees and costs of return are deducted from the refund amount. The cost of return is advised by the courier after the parcel is delivered to us.
Unfortunately there have been several delays on the courier’s side in the issuance of the document with details of return costs and consequently the refund has been issued late.
We apologize for this inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

Mejor imposible

Delighted with the service. Hoka sneakers delivered in 5 days, perfectly packaged and in perfect condition. I recommend them 100 percent. It's a pleasure. We need to stop ordering from Amazon to upset the Trump administration.

Crap customer service for defect…

Crap customer service for defect products.

They are offering the worst experience for.a defect products.

I'm am now on day businessday +17 after reporting the defect product and they keep referring to the manufacture.

They do now respect EU laws in this fradulant company - you have two weeks to handle any claim and you cannot refer to a supplier!

You have contacted us for an issue with your product. For manufacturing defects we must file a warranty case with the supplier. Unfortunately we cannot provide a direct solution as we are retailers and warranty can be filed with the manufacturer only.
The manufacturer is not under our influence and some cases might take longer than others. It is not possible for us to intervene and speed up the process.
Your case has been filed on January the 10th and a refund for the defected item has been issued on January the 23rd.
The refund has been issued in the same payment method used to place the order.

Fast delivery to the Netherlands. The price was cheaper than in the Netherlands. I was quite doubtful whether my shoes would arrive, but they arrived in the Netherlands within 3 days from Italy.

Terrible sports store and even worse customer service.

One star, only because it's not possible to rate it a 0 or even negative. I bought a pair of black Adidas Strung X2 Prime sneakers, size 45 1/3, since I already have the same model in yellow, purchased from the official Adidas website.

The shoes arrived in not a very good shape box and turned out to be half a size smaller than the ones I own, despite being both pairs the same model and size (45 1/3), which means they are factory defective (assuming they are even genuine Adidas shoes). I sent them a picture clearly showing the difference between the two right shoes (yellow and black), I received a nonsense email showing that they did not bother to review any evidence received and they refused to take responsibility for the return.

At this stage I’m not even sure if the shoes are authentic, given the significant difference between them. In the end, I'll have to request a refund directly from my bank and Mastercard with all the evidence to initiate "chargeback"process and get back my money, as I didn't receive the product I purchased online. When Runkd wants their product back, please let me know and send me the paid return label and I will immediately send it to you. I also suggest Runkd to pass me the contact of Adidas Italy to avoid Runkd intermediation about these pair of shoes but no answer, otherwise based on the comments can take months. After days Runkd refuse to put me in contact with Adidas Italy, when accessing Adidas Italy website, Adidas warns their customers that the shoes fit small for the size they advertised, Runkd does not warn customers and refuses to help them after.

Worst customer service. Scam like

Sold me faulty product.

Asked me to break product further before granting warranty approval. Told me specifically to cut the product in two despite receieving two videos and multiple photos showing the breakage and refused to process warantty until I committed active further damage.

Sent incorrect item as replacement (wrong model and multiple sizes smaller)

Now refusing to send correct item.

Has now sent inaccurate returns courier information with incorrect description of item and incorrect item value.

Still no timeline for when I will receive correct item.

This issue has now taken over three months to resolve and still no resolution.

Runkd is a scam - do not shop from this website

Do not under any circumstance buy clothes or shoes from this website - you are not allowed to try it on at home! I bought a pair of running shoes on the black friday sale and it's the worst customer experience ever. Firstly, it took a long time to get the shoes. When the shoes came, I tried the shoes on INSIDE with socks (like any other normal person would do), but the size was to small so I couldn't use them. I reported a return, and due to poor translation on the website it was super difficult to understand whether it was possible to get a prepaid label or not. Due to late reply from customer service I ended up paying 20 euro for the return because I wanted to send the shoes back before Christmas. When the shoes arrive back at Runkd's address - I get a notice that they can't accept the return because the shoes have been worn. I'm in shock about this and on top of this Runkd want's me to pay for shipping back to Denmark. I reply that the shoes has been worn inside as I need to try them on to know if they fit or not. It is not reasonable that the customer is not allowed to try a shoe on.
Their latest reply is that I was dirty when trying the shoe on and that I was not wearing socks(!?). It's totally unheared of and I've never experienced anything like this. My biggest mistake is not taking photos of the shoes before returning - they were in perfect condition and this seems like a big scam. Do not shop form this site - spend a few more euros shopping from a trustworthy webshop instead.

Your return has been rejected since one of the shoes arrived dirty. Our team has opened the parcel for inspecting the content and we immediately found a white layer of dirt on the fabric on the heel. The stain is evident due to the shoes being blue.
Our policy clearly states that products must be returned clean, and our customer assistance had sent an email to the client to remind about this before the goods were shipped to us.
We kindly ask you to collaborate with us to arrange the return of these shoes to you.

Awful experience with Runkd - pay the extra to use a competitor

Unsure why this company has close to a 5 star review. My order initially took much longer than expected was advertised to arrive despite paying £13 for delivery. Granted the products are coming from Italy so this is fine, just a little annoying. The real kicker is that I have accidentally ordered the incorrect size so return the goods, they receive them and then refund only £70 of the £108.90 I paid for the shoes (not including the £13 delivery). There is nothing about this in their refund policy so they essentially have taken £40 of my money for nothing. They don’t seem to have any customer support and didn’t explain why they refused to refund the full amount. One of my worst online shopping experiences, now over £60 out of pocket (£14 to return the shoes) for nothing other than the inconvenience of having to try and communicate with a poorly set up company.
