For those getting nowhere with RWG…
For those getting nowhere with RWG Customer Services, try NOW Mobile Customer Services, ...not sure if the former [RWG] has been disbanded and they have 'forgotten' to inform their customers that it no longer works, BUT the latter [NOW] addressed AND solved my issue within seconds with a five star service...its a pity about the poor RWG response as previously I always found them 5 star as well...if someone i.e. the CEO from RWG/NOW is reading this, address this issue NOW [no pun intended!] as you are creating reputational damage for no reason; see others recent comments regarding RMG Customer Service.
Unresponsive customer service
Unresponsive customer service. Contact number on emails isn't the right one. Takes ages for a top-up to get processed.
no signal for 5-6 weeks
Having had no signal for 5-6 weeks and several futile calls to the call centre I went online chat an operator called Joe resolved the problem in 3 days. It only took that long as I had to wait for a new SIM card to arrive
Customer service ZERO
I have a spare phone in the car for safety reasons. I just want the sim live without having to keep creditting as I will only use in an emergency. I have messaged them, I have emailed them regards my DV situation wanting to know if I need to top up every 6 months to keep it live or just use the phone - so I have called it and text it from my regular phone. No-one bothers to get back to you. Ive tried the chat facility, nothing comes back either. Seems they care not about you.
The best there is for a proper PAYG
The best there is for a proper PAYG, top up and that stays till you use it and top up in your own time. The only problem is the balance checking numbers 669 and *669# don't work at the best of time.
RWG Mobile are no more
RWG Mobile are no more. They don't exist. NOW MOBILE bought them. I am with RWG and I cannot get my balance as am on pay-as-you-go. I have tried to contact NOW Mobile many times, but no luck. I am having to find a new mobile provider.
Dire
Dire - I made the mistake in believing I was joining an independant firm, nope its another firm taken over by capitalistic locusts, that is called 'NOW' (the founders of RWG took the money and ran, like startups always do) 'NOW' also run 'talk home mobile' which is also crap. I tried to port my number across to RWG - says 2 days to complete - utter rubbish, it didnt happen - when I contacted 'customer support' the guy hadn't a clue and said I was mistaken - it clearly states it will take a maximum of 2 days on the port request form and it never happened even after a week. I shall kiss my £2 sim card away and head elsewhere. You should also remember that these companies don't allow you to send picture mgs with their payg tariffs and half the time they block you sending regular sms msgs too.. And (no, I'am not finished just yet..) remember that the monthly payment you make is a 'continuous debit' payment (not a regular direct debit) meaning that you cannot cancel it by online banking, you will need to speak to your bank, the mobile companies do this so they can continue to take monthly payments even when you have closed your acct with them(!) So suggest you avoid RWG, Talk Home' and 'NOW' which are just more examples of firms being cut to the bone by greedy, sweaty palmed Rolex wearing 'investors'.
Avoid RWG mobile
RWG mobile is the worst company I've ever dealt with, I applied for a sim only deal for a one off payment of £30 per year, only to find the telephone provider they used was EE, for which I was told by RWG, that the signal was excellent in my area, but this wasn't the case, as I couldn't get no signal whatsoever, so obviously I requested a full refund, (within the 14 day cooling off period) via a telephone call from my wife's phone and then via email but their response was none existent, so after many failed attempts to get my money back, I turned to my bank, who were very helpful and successful in getting my money reimbursed, so my advice to anyone looking for a new sim only deal, AVOID Rwg mobile at all costs, if I could have given them no stars I would have done.
Shocking
Shocking, may as well throw your money in the fire and talk to a brick wall. No responses, no support, still taking payments on website. Avoid at all costs!
I never received a SIM card ordered in…
I never received a SIM card ordered in January. Their customer service number cuts off after 1 ring and they do not acknowledge or reply to customer support email. I went to my bank to get my money back but this morning I discovered they had taken another payment. Have reported as fraud
RWG mobile
Have been with RWG (3 numbers, they all 3 with the same issue) for over the year but maked GREAT move away to Spusu, they both using EE.
RWG - yes, very cheap but cheap as CHEAP its 100%.
Be prepare that you wil have no EU roaming, be prepared that you will no receive some SMS at all, especially from abroad. Be prepared that people cannot reach you over phonecall, it not sending people call to your voicemail box (even when your phone is showing good strength of signal) it even drops call straight away like number is not exist. Customer service 50x50, if you been able to reach someone , they will help but majority of time you will stay with your problem. Also, you will speak with NOW (another service provider) customer services and many more...
So, finaly, don't waste your time and money (even little money) to make sure your phone is working and people can reach you all the time (unless you in bad signal area or in the banker).
Usless Customer Service!
History. Following experience accurate as possible-
July 2025 - purchased RWG 5Gb SIm year pack.
Data Worked ok ~ but had problem with text/phone.
Tried to contact their 01633 No - slow response - Lady on mobile - left to answer queries - No help. Gave up.
5th Jan 2026 - their web page gives 01633 - C-contact
has changed to 0207 871 7669. Have to enter Mobile No -
Tried 3 times - failed - got CustService but..He said "Your voice is breaking up - can't hear you. I tested/checked my Phone Mic - Ok. Repeated Call to 0207 - but got same response. Very annoying! I also (before this) I tried sending RWG a Email Rec' auto response - but so far - get no response. (Prev' had this same action in 2025)
Won’t unblock incoming calls and texts
Tried to get a PAC for my mum’s phone to transfer it away from RWG but found the SIM was blocked (she’s gone into a care home and doesn’t use it much, but it’s still in credit). Contacted “support” but got no response. Raised it as a complaint and they got back to me to say the SIM was reactivated and we could get the PAC by text. But they had activated only outgoing calls and texts, not incoming. No response to my follow up emails and complaints about that, so 6 weeks later and we still don’t have a PAC.
5 year data only SIM deactivated without replacement
Bought a 5 year data only SIM from RWG in 2023, I believe this was an EE sim or at least used the EE network. Stopped working in 2024, called customer services up (UK call centre) and they sent me a replacement - this one was a 'Gamma' sim. Another year later in 2025, the same thing happened around August. Called customer services up (non-UK call centre now) and they kept on asking me to call back later or email. Emailed, no response. Called back 2 weeks later demanding a solution, they could not locate the SIM on my account even after I gave the long SIM number, my RWG order numbers etc (the order still shows on my account online). They then advised me on the phone that this disconnected this SIM for all Gamma SIM customers in August 2024 and sent out communications offering replacements/refunds to customers. I did not receive any communication. The agent on the phone then said since I called back 4 months later and not within 30 days they would not replace my SIM or refund me (I didn't even ask for a refund). I paid for a 5 year SIM and they deactivated it twice, and refused to replace it the second time.
I explained that I use the SIM in a car GPS tracker so that is why I wouldn't know immediately when it disconnects and nor did I agree to having to check in every 30 days and that I would forfeit my SIM if I didn't do so!
Extremely disappointed, I want to say more but I know I have to strictly stick to the facts or this review may be pulled.
DO NOT RECOMMEND
Prompt SIM card delivery
Prompt SIM card delivery, no prblems with use or top ups. I chose RWG as it offered a no monthly charge and low cost call rates.
Looking at all the other negative…
Looking at all the other negative reviews how an earth are RWG still in business? 3 Data SIMs provided which required activation....simple task you would have thought!!! Oh no no no ....after god knows how many phone calls to customer services 5 days later finally one SIMs becomes active. Another week later and after god knows how many more phone calls to customer services finally the remaining two SIMs are active. Basically 10 days and many phone calls to get working Data SIMs.
Its a shame because the SIMs are very good value for money and do work well but just let down by the worst customer service I've ever experienced.
People...thing twice about using this company and take seriously the many poor reviews.
Unresponsive to email, cannot be reached by phone
Not a legitimate business.
I've repeatedly emailed over a period of months to cancel a subscription, and received no response other than an automated reference number.
Their phone number goes to another company ("Now mobile") who I was told are a sister company. The person who answered the phone was unhelpful and claimed that emails were dealt with by some entirely different team. The only thing they could suggest was to write to the support email address again.
I've sent them one more email to see if they will respond, otherwise I'll have to dispute the charge with my credit card company.
