Dissaster, left alone at the airport

Was traveling from Croatia 22.05, plain was delayed for more than 2 hours, and my connecting flight from Manchester to Dk was gone. There was no any Ryanair support at the help desk. I was litterally left alone at the airport with no possibility to come home. Worker from another company was very helpfull and somehow gave me another ticket for next day in exchange for 100 pounds. I should self pay for hotel and taxi. I doubt that they will refund any of this. This is crap company, was traveling first and last time with them. When something happens, you are left alone!

Terrible company. Bought 2 tickets from Bergamo for 100€ and paid another 110€ at the airport to check in. There was no such information in the email with the ticket. In a plane with 32 rows, there were passengers who were sold tickets for the 35th row.Never again.

We bought flights for Majorca in 2020 which were cancelled due to the pandemic and we have still not received our refund. They continue to ask for documents which I have already emailed and posted just to further delay paying out. I will never fly with this airline again. They do not answer the phone or reply to emails. They are are a disgrace to the industry. I pity anyone who has to work for them. Do not ever work for this company or use them for travel.

Flight cancelled for no valid reason!!

Having booked a return flight to Crete with Ryanair over 3 months ago, they have just emailed me to say the outward journey flight has been cancelled. They gave me the option of a flight a whole 24 hours earlier but my wife is a teacher and that flight would mean her missing a teaching day and she is not allowed to do that!! I have found an alternative flight with another company but because the date is now so much closer it is far far more expensive!

Ryanair- forget jab and go, just don’t go

Why do we continue to support this company? Cheap fares yes but customer service is the worst I’ve ever experienced. Recently flew with Rubbishair from Manchester airport. Took over two hours to do the bag drop. Hundreds of passengers crammed into a small terminal. No information screens. When about to miss your flight an announcement comes over a crackling PA system to say get to the front of the queue or you will miss your flight! Disgusting company. I wish everyone would boycott it.

I booked a connection flight with Ryanair but I couldn't find it on their homepage. I tried to use their support chat. After one hour the 'person' just left the chat without giving me any answer. This is really bad.

Where do I even start?

Where do I even start?
I've NEVER had such a horrible experience with an airline. The app didn't allow us to check in, so we were forced to pay 440kr because of "late check-in" at the airport. We weren't informed by this AT ALL. The check in worker was also rude and hissed at us several times. We were then told that we had to show up at the Gate at least 30 minutes before boarding - problem was, the gate wasn't shown until 40 minutes before departure. We had to run through the airport to make it in time, only to be met by a long queue and complete chaos. Once again, the staff was hissing and rude, only caring about priority passengers. All our questions were ignored, and we only got on the plane last minute. Absolutely horrible experience - definitely the last time I've decided to fly with you.
So in regards to "what we could do to improve my satisfaction with us?", I say: Take a good read at my review and go figure.

Denied boarding by Ryanair mistake - No refund after that

One month ago I had a ticket from Brussels to Copenhagen. Ryanair's stuff made a mistake not allowing me onboard, because of Covid rules, which where not applicable for me. They asked me to provide a test or vaccination pass, which I don needed , because I am a resident of Denmark. After I wasn't allowed to fly I spoke with Ryanair manager in the Brussels airport and they made a research and admit they made a mistake and they offered me to get me to next available fight after 2 days, but I needed to get back in Copenhagen at least on the next day, so I refused. According to the rules of European Consumer Centre both in Belgium and Denmark they should buy me a ticket and get me back home, and also pay for accommodation etc.. But the only thing they did is to telling me I can buy my own ticket and write a claim for a refund. Ryanair stuff on the airport even gave me a peace of paper saying they admit denied boarding was their mistake. So I did wrote a claim and upload all the documents for prove. After 15 days of waiting (and on their website says 10 days max for an answer ) I received a generated Copy-Paste message they will not send me the money I spend for ticket to get back home, and they didn't even apologize or whatever !! That is so insulting!! They didn't even mentioned my name in the email , just dropped a ``Dear customer `` ?!
So how can I feel safe and trust such a company once more ?

Opportunist airline milking pandemic

When my tickets were purchased, Lisbon was on the green list for travel. Ryanair also promised a zero change fee guarantee as part of their covid 19 travel assurance.

Then the government eventually moved Portugal into the amber list. At that point I realised that I would not be permitted to travel due to work and other commitments. I was also unable to predict future opportunities to travel, so I tried to get in contact with Ryanair.

When I called their customer service number, I consistently came across an automated message stating that these were busy times and the best bet was to use the chat service or send an email, before being disconnected.
Every time I used the chat, I was placed in queues of approximately 500 to 700 users. Although I ensured I was appropriately set up, every time I got closer to the front of the queue brackets (approx. position 100 to 200) I was somehow disconnected and removed from the queue completely. This happened on several occasions so I decided to send Ryanair an email.
I received an automated response advising that someone from the customer services team would get back to me in due time however 2 months later and I am yet to receive an actual response.

After trying my luck again on the chat, I spoke to a customer service advisor who explained that refunds were not possible and the only way to not lose out completely were to change my flights, which could be done up to 2 hours before the original departure time.
I took this as gospel and logged in to my booking on the Ryanair website and attempted to change my flights albeit knowing that it was more likely than not that wouldn’t be able to travel in the foreseeable future. I was then met by a change fee of around £360, more than half of the original tickets. The agent had not informed me of this fee, and also did not email a copy/transcript of the chat as we had agreed.
Trading standards review of this business is imperative to protect the public from unethical processes.

RyanAir - Immoral, crooked and ugly

This is the response that I got from my bank after I had submitted a chargeback on my credit card, and my response to them...

Katriin Pannal (TransferWise)

Aug 31, 2021, 11:50 GMT+2

Hello Mark,

Unfortunately, the merchant (Ryanair) has rejected our chargeback by claiming that the flight operated as scheduled and therefore they have provided the services from their end.

I've attached the merchant's documents to this email.

Based on the information received, it unfortunately seems that we can't take this case further. As Ryanair is acting in accordance with their terms and conditions, then we don't have grounds to escalate this case. We could only proceed if Ryanair had already promised a refund or you would be eligible for a refund based on their terms and conditions.

Though other airlines are more flexible when it comes to situations like these, then sadly this is not sufficient for us to proceed with this case.

Should you have any other documents that might serve as counter-evidence to the merchant's claims, then please send these over to us and we can take a further look.
Best wishes,
Katriin

Card Disputes Team

Dear Katriin,

Many thanks for your Email.

Unfortunately, I strongly disagree with the position that Ryanair is taking, and I am not satisfied to leave the matter as is.

I have provided ample evidence of the following facts:

a) the ticket was cancelled within 1 hour of booking and payment
b) the reason for cancellation was because of a Covid related motive (I would have been forced into a quarantine, which totally defeated the purposes of the journey)
c) nowhere was the quarantine requirement stipulated on the Ryanair website with regard to the particular flight that I had booked
d) all attempts to contact the company and to speak to someone about this case were IMPOSSIBLE. They do not answer calls and could only be reached by Email, and even these were simply ignored. This is clearly a DELIBERATE policy to avoid customer contact.
e) Upon rejection of my refund claim, in good faith and by way of compromise, I asked for a voucher. Once again, they did not even bother to respond.

Their rejection of my claim (attached) consistently claims a "no show". This is pretty tenuous. If you can't fly, and you have already advised them of the fact within 1hr of booking, and 2 weeks before the scheduled date, then it is hardly likely that you are going to show up for the flight.

There are questions of legality here. It is all very well to announce to the world that they have a "No Refund" policy, and in the smallprint they may indeed have a case, but in situations like this, where nearly every single airline in the world is bending over backwards to accommodate their customers, Ryanair's approach is perfectly disgusting and immoral.

I do not know where the final decision lies - or who arbitrates in matters such as these. You (Wise) say that you cannot pursue the matter further, but what about the Mastercard, who paid for the ticket before debiting the bank? They are the party who must reclaim the money from Ryanair, and not yourselves. Perhaps they have a different take on the matter?

This is maddening. I feel that I have been robbed - in broad daylight - by a scandalous company, and cannot find recourse.

If you doubt anything that I have itemised and explained in this Email, or require any more evidence to support these statements, then I will willingly provide the same. In the meantime, if you have any means by which to further this challenge then I earnestly entreat you to do so. I have seen on the web many claimants, in almost identical situations to myself, and who have successfully charged-back on their credit cards.

How much does this depend on the WILL of the intermediary bank to pursue?

Yours faithfully,

Mark SCHONFRUCHT

Don't fly with this company low cost means low-cost services. No proper helpline just junkies who try to get rid of you at the moment you start chatting with them. You pay for cancelation services and the politics don't have cancelation services. Smart guys.

Don't change your date

I was changing the flight date when it showed me that it won't transfer a priority ticket which means that I have to buy it again and for double the amount I previously bought it. So I rang them up (the guy was very nice and helpful) He told me that Ryanair does not refund anything so if I change the day for a cheaper flight then the difference keeps the company. Funny as if your ticket is more expensive you have to pay the remaining and buy a priority ticket again.

FLY WITH SOMEONE ELSE

I am having such trouble with this airline - so much so that I will never fly wit them again!!!
I helped them out the first time by accepting a voucher and rebooking 12 months later. But now as we can`t go on holiday again I need the cash refund. I have filled in so many forms that my inbox is full of emails to and from RYANAIR and still I have no refund - totally incompetent!!

Reservation id: YCSY6H refund me

Booked flights through last minute.com last year return flight from Barcelona 13/04/20 which was cancelled for COVID-19 flight Reservation id: YCSY6H
Told to complete a form to get my refund, which does not accept my details, and I have since called Ryan Air, told to complete the form which I did whilst the call handler was on the phone and still didn’t work. Told me to fill out another form and submit that with a copy of the first form with a copy of bills and ID. I just want my refund, it’s not difficult, I understand Ryan Air make it difficult to get the refund so people give up and they keep my money. I will not be using Ryan Air again and I would steer clear. By the way the chap I spoke to on the phone did not have a clue how to help and basically hung up once he told me about the form 👏🏻
