Ordered an item and Ryman sent a different item. Contacted via service to sort this out, arrange a return and get the correct item sent out to me. They can’t do this as there needed to be an investigation by Ryman to see if there was an error on their part! Item was picked up and returned to them and no investigation, just a refund. Can’t even reorder the item as the price has increased by £20 now. Really poor service from a large company.
Brilliant Service
About 9 months ago I bought a shredder from Ryman online.Recently it stopped working. I could hear the motor running but it would not take in the paper. I rang customer services and a very polo it and helpful lady spoke to me and and said it was still under guarantee and they could pick it up from my home the following day. She asked whether I wanted a refund or a replacement shredder. I chose a replacement which was delivered a week later,

Horrible experience
My visit to Ryman Stationery turned into an absolute nightmare. Armed with passport-sized photo files directly from the studio where I had my pictures taken, I expected a simple and hassle-free printing process. However, what followed was a comedy of errors and a display of utter incompetence.
Despite the files being professionally taken and provided in the correct size and format, the staff at Ryman Stationery seemed incapable of performing the most basic task. Instead of printing the passport-sized pictures as requested, they repeatedly printed larger versions, completely disregarding the specifications provided.
Even after multiple attempts and clear instructions, they failed miserably at producing the desired result. To make matters worse, I was charged for each futile attempt, adding insult to injury.
The entire ordeal was beyond frustrating. Ryman Stationery not only failed to deliver on a straightforward printing request but also managed to squander both my time and money.

Visited the store in the fleet, Hampshire where I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful, and the store, as usual, had what I was looking for at a very good price.

Two office chairs never arrived
Ordered two office chairs, very cheap at £180 for the two.
Despite numerous calls and waiting in they never arrived approx 10 days after ordering.
We had to cancel and get a refund.
New chairs (Better looking too) ordered and arrived after 24hours.
Rymans are off our list for Office products!!
ridiculous refund policy be careful
Once a chair is assembled you cannot return it which is ridiculous considering the fact that most other retailers allow the customer to at least assemble and try out to see if the chair is suitable. How is someone supposed to know if a chair is adequate for sitting in terms of comfort, ergonomics and personal requirements without at least assembling it to get an idea, let alone sit on it. Not to mention Consumer Rights, 14 day cooling period to return unwanted items...........
I am never, ever spending another penny with this company especially now I've just wasted £200+ on a chair that gives me a horrific back ache, no arms to support my elbows and a "neck rest" that doesn't even reach my neck. Thanks for promoting my injuries by wasting my money. Disgraceful customer service especially during these difficult times with inflation and cost of living.

Ordered £200 computer chair.
The lever is faulty.
Contacted them .
No apology, just got told I'd be emailed for collection to be arranged.
I asked if I would be refunded both the price and delivery charge , as it is faulty and that they have too.
Was completely ignored.
3 days later, I've still not been contacted.
Just tried talking to them again and got the same vague answers. It's now a day before the weekend, so I won't be contacted until next week.
£200 is a lot of money to lose and I need the computer chair ASAP due to starting a new job on Monday. But alas, apparently not that important to them .
Nor is actually helping the customers that buy from them.

Poor customer service when error with order made by Ryman
Ordered a printer from Ryman for my business. They sent the wrong one. I reported it immediately and arranged collection at the earliest opportunity available. They refused to send me the one I ordered as they had to 'carry out a warehouse investigation' and advised they would issue a refund. It took 2 weeks for the refund to come through after they collected it. I contacted their customer services department to query why I had to be without my original order and out of pocket due to an error at their end and they issued a 10% off voucher code as an apology. However, the printer I wanted was no longer in stock and the code was 'invalid'. Gave up with Ryman and bought a printer from Argos instead. Don't waste your time or money at Ryman. Customer service is very poor.
Terrible
I ordered a filing cabinet for next day delivery. The tracking link sent to me didn’t work. On the next day, a the courier sent me a message at 3:06 pm saying the cabinet would be delivered between 12:57pm and 2:57pm. The link they sent me didn’t work either. I phoned Rymans, waited for nearly 20 minutes, talked to a woman who was not that helpful who gave me a phone number for the courier. I phoned them and the excuse was an IT issue. They promised to keep me updated, which they didn’t. I waited the whole afternoon and the cabinet didn’t turn up. I phoned the courier again the following morning, they did not have any idea where the cabinet was and when it would be delivered. I phoned Rymans and talked to unhelpful woman again, asked her to cancel my order as I couldn’t stay at home to wait for the delivery, she promised to do so but, while I was out, a text was sent by the courier to ask me for my electronic signature so they could deliver the cabinet. As. I wasn’t at hone, I didn’t give them my signature but, when I got back home, the cabinet was dumped in the hallway of my building. The courier obviously did not have any instruction to not deliver the cabinet from Ryman. Had I used Amazon, which I usually do, it would have been hassle-free, but I wanted to help Ryman and my good intention had backfired. Thank you Rymans, but never again.
Disappointing customer service
Disappointing customer service. I purchased some flip chart pens needed urgently and found one of them was faulty. Called up no validation of my frustrating experience. Had to drive into town paying for parking. I asked for £2.15 for my parking which I thought was fair compensation in the circumstances. I received a firm NO and when asked for their complaints procedure I received a blank look and I was told to call customer services. I got home to find that somehow I still had the same box and dodgy pen. I now need to make another trip into town. My £11.99 purchase will have cost me an extra £16 in petrol and parking. I called customer services and spoke to Rob who was very understanding and acknowledged my frustration. He was unable to do anything as the on line business has nothing to do with the shops. For the sake of £2.15 you have now lost my business Rymans. Such a shame as I really want to support our local stores and ended up buying from Amazon.
First & last online order
Ordered online , selected next day click & collect from store. Ordered on Sun afternoon , so items should have been delivered on Tues ( advertised on website delivery as next working day ) , didn't receive any notification on Tues to say delivery had been made. Used tracking facility on Wed morning which confirmed delivery had been made.
Went to store to collect to be told delivery made at 7pm when store is closed, Delivery driver delivered to a nearby restaurant , I arrived at the shop at 10.30 and was told the restaurant doesn't open til 2pm , so I would need to come back to collect later that day. Manger wasn't apologetic

I have never come across such bad service with no information, regarding product detail and was just grunted at !!!! I was given the most expensive ink cartridge, when I asked she just pointed at the till as if there was no chose,..... staff number 407289 on our recept 309825 trans, I will not be retuning, very upset.....unprofessional...

Having seen an item I wanted to buy in bulk urgently, I confirmed my order and waited for the delivery, only for an email on the delivery date saying "we do not have it in stock. If you want to cancel the order, please call customer services". Having already wasted my time and days waiting for delivery, the email couldn't even add a small line telling me which number to call for refund! How difficult is it to be informative and helpful? Why not call the customer and tell them about this?
Surely, the worst possible thing is to inaccurately display on your website when buying that stock is available and then not even make proper amends to the customer, making only a half-hearted attempted like you couldn't be bothered to address the customer's disappointment. I needed the boxes urgently for some storage issues and expected it on delivery date. Your inaccurate website and supply/chain, inventory data is leading to customer disappointment.
