In general everything was great. The problem I have with Ryobi is trying to find model and serail numbers. NOt sure why they can't do like most companies call the numbers what they are.

Buy these great tools

I bought extra batteries that were easy to use. No waiting time to recharge, I have the trimmer, Blower, and Hedge trimmer and I got a bundle deal and they were on sale as well. What could have been any better, And they are all light weight which is a additional bonus .Keep up the good work. When I am able to afford one I will be buying a lawn mower.

Terrible Warranty and Customer Service

Bought a Ryobi drill six months ago and it stopped working.I’m in the middle of a home reno. Trying to get it serviced or replaced is so stressful. Called the Ryobi customer service many times and they kept giving a business in Edmonton for Ryobi products and when I called them they told me they don’t do that and stop calling. No warranty center in the Capital of Alberta. You have to send all Ryobi tools at your cost to Calgary to get serviced and checked to see if you can have warranty. This is crazy. If I would have known this I would have never bought Ryobi tools. I went to Home Depot and they said we just sell stuff here. I’m so frustrated and mad. Will never buy Ryobi again and I will be telling all my family and friends to not buy them.

Ryobi Vacuum

I recently has corrective right shoulder surgery and was advised by my surgeon and physical therapist that I was not able to push or pull anything, especially a vaccum. This restriction was very frustrating because I like to keep a neat and clean house. The purchase of the Riobi stick vacuum was a god send to me because it enabled me to vacuum my home. The design and light weigh of the unit gave me the freedom to clean my home. I would recommend this unit to anyone who has difficulty using a standard vacuum. The design of battery installation, dust bowl and cleaning wands is superb.

Don't Trust Ryobi!

Ryobi customer service has been absolutely terrible to deal with. I live in a major city and they expect me to drive 45 min away (1.5hr round-trip drive) to a small town to drop off the tool to service repair center. It's almost like they hope the customers will not go through the hassle of getting their unit repaired. On top of that, the service center stated "Ryobi parts can takes months to arrive and they do not provide us with tracking". They have the worst service department I have ever experienced. In terms of trying to submit a complaint, their email department just ignores you. It has been about 3 months, and Ryobi has still not provided the repair center with the part. STAY AWAY FROM RYOBI!

Ryobi Parts Department has very poor…

Ryobi Parts Department has very poor customer service and order followup.
20+minute wait on customer service phone line, which is the only way to check on your order.
No shipping notification or order status available through email or online.
If I can't reliably get parts for my Ryobi products why own them.

18 gauge battery finish nailer

18 gauge battery finish nailer

I’ve purchased RYOBI products in the past and never had any problems with them. I’ve talked to many people who have said they enjoy how well their tools perform. I purchased an 18gauge battery operated finish nailer to attach cedar to a rabbit hutch I’m building. I used the nailer gun 8 times. 4 nails were driven into studs because I wanted to test out how it felt. 4 more were nailed into a sheet of plywood on the roof of the hutch so it would stay while I grabbed more screws. When I went to put on my first piece of cedar, the gun wouldn’t fire, I swapped batteries, checked for jams and read the manual which stated I needed to hold it in position longer. After all of this, it still didn’t work. I’m very dissatisfied. I bought the nail gun two days ago, drove 8 nails, and it no longer works. Hopefully home depot will take it back and give me another.

Ryobi is so full of it

Ryobi is so full of it. When you purchase any tools or snowblowers or grass cutter from them you're left alone . When you call the company for help nobody will help you. They only want to sale the product and don't a dam about the customers. I am very disappointed my last tool that i purchased from them a snow blower. I have warranty but i said I'll purchase the battery cover and i called Ryobi to ask if someone could help me how to install it i was transferred to different people and nobody knew what to do . Not only i purchased the battery they told me bring in to a repair shop. What a company. Never will i purchase anything from RYOBI...

Better and more reliable than yours

I work as a home remodeler, and I enjoy it when the other guys on my crew who only use specific brands of tools like Milwaukee and DeWalt come borrow my Ryobi tools because either their battery died too quick or need my saw or multi-tool because theirs won't do the job. Ryobi tools have always been reliable and durable. I enjoy working with Ryobi tools. There is such a wide variety and the price is decent. For a lower class working man trying to provide for my family, Ryobi tools are helping me to achieve my goals. Thank you.

I bought a ryobi sliding compound miter…

I bought a ryobi sliding compound miter saw ,a while back, and used it 3 times. The 4th time I used it, the handle literally snapped off and broke completely in two. I talked to Marlin. The manager at home depot, where I've been a customer for 30 plus years, and he said Ryobi won't warranty it. I'm my opinion this is the worst POS I've ever had the displeasure of owning. Harbor freight is way better. Stay far away from this junk.

Expand your vision capabilities. Near and far. Find the needle in the hay stack or that animal in your back yard. Country becomes city. The invisible shows up. My favourite tool.

I lost the nut that lock nut that holds…

I lost the nut that lock nut that holds the saw in place when you set the degree for cuts... (45°, 22.5°) i went online to find the replacement parts and to my surprise it was very easy to find. Once I found rhe item and added it to my cart I wasn't able to find the shipping cost until I placed the order. Thought that was a little unprofessional especially since they sent an email with the shipping cost broken down by the cost. They could have easily had this available on the web page before having to purchase in the blind. The part costs .70 but the shipping was around $10. They n3ver shipped the parts but said they did. Then I asked to have them resent and they said they would. After waiting over 2 months I was told it was not their usual practiced and they weren't sure why it was taking so long!!!?? Well if I'm buying it from them and they don't know what's going on then who would be the correct people to ask? Dewalt??? Anyway after over 2 months i asked for a refund and I received a response the very next day. Guess they're not too concerned with loyal customers. I'll just go to a box store and take the part off a display model.

Dishonest

A few weeks ago I received an email from Ryobi, offering a gift voucher to be used at a local hardware store. To receive the voucher I had to purchase an eligible Ryobi product and register it on their website within a certain timeframe.

The email contained a link to the eligible products. I found one that I might use, purchased it and tried to register it. This is where things went wrong because I was unable to register it. I phoned Ryobi about this and was told that it was not an eligible product, even though I had seen it on the web page of eligible products. However, checking that web page later, that product was not listed. Evidently, it was originally shown by mistake, although Ryobi refuse to admit that there was an error.

I have a screenshot showing the product on the eligible products web page but I took this only for my personal reference. If I had known that Ryobi would change the web page I would have printed the entire page as proof that it was listed. An exchange of several emails followed with Ryobi insisting that it was not an eligible product and refusing to consider that they had made an error

At all times I have acted in good faith, following the procedure and conditions specified by Ryobi. It is not my fault that Ryoby listed an ineligible product by mistake. Since I did nothing wrong, I think that the company should have sent the gift voucher to me.

I emailed a senior executive of Ryobi, Joseph-Hou Wang, asking him to intervene. He never replied. If others have a problem with Ryobi, his email is joseph.wh(at)ryobi-g.com. While I expect that he will ignore you, at least you can annoy him by bombarding him with emails.

I have been misled and I am dissatisfied with the company's behaviour.

Ryobi Gas powered leaf blower

Ryobi Gas powered leaf blower

A complete waste of money. Very difficult to start. I followed owners manual completely. I use premium gasoline and mix it with oil as directed. It takes 10-20 pulls to start the unit. Sometimes it wouldn’t start at all, I let it sit for 20 minutes, then try again, then it might start after another 10 pulls

The spark plug connector comes loos easily, preventing starting and ongoing operation.

The 3 year warranty is completely useless. After 2 years of light residential use, the gas blower won’t start at all. Ryobi won’t pay for repairs unless the repairs shop concludes the carburetor is defective.

The repair shop recommended by Ryobi where I live, told me don’t waste your money repairing this sub standard leaf blower, buy a better product

Don’t bother buying this product.

Beware! Never buy Ryobi

The worst company I have ever dealt with. A $600 lawnmower broke in its second season while still in warranty. The service centers provided by Ryobi do not exist and they want you to travel 500Kms+ for another service center that does not ever pick the phone.

Quality

Brought the lawnmower battery 2 years ago and was amazing!
I decided to buy the one stage snow blower because 2 battery and charger were included. Took me 20 minutes to assemble. Also, I could use the other charger and battery from the lawnmower.
Truly happy with there products
