Incompetent Gogirl insurance. Possibly dishonest trader.

My 18 year old daughter was insured with Gogirl from June 2021with a 70 plate Mini Cooper exclusive. As my family have been waiting for eight months for an electric car delivery we decided to sell her mini and buy an automatic mini as my wife would not drive the manual. This we did in June buying a Mini Cooper S exclusive. We paid the additional premium for the change of car and were told by email that the renewal premium would be £499. Yesterday I received an email from Gogirl showing me the one year no claim and also that my policy had expired. I received no reminder that my policy was expiring at all which is usual for insurance policies, and generally for all events in life requiring our attention. Gogirl told me that they would not honour their quote of a few months previous and told me to go on line where the cheapest quote for the car which had been insured by them was now at least more than three times as expensive. Had they sent me a reminder I would not be in this appalling situation.
Very very poor customer relations not acknowledging their error of not sending me a reminder.

No followup even promised to

Sabre increased my premium of car to £1023 and only gave me 7days to pay. Called the broker everyday and emailed broker and Sabre but none positive reply. In day 3, broker agreed ley me know the residual value but I got it at the last few hours before my issurance cancelled. Finally, my car issurance was cancelled without reason and I cannot buy from other issurance company. I emailed Sabre's customer service which replied my complaint here but in fact they did nothing.

Daylight Robbery !!!!

We arranged insurance for my sons vehicle on the 9th May 2022 .
We paid 2 months up front and then 10 monthly instalments .
We have now sold the vehicle and tried to cancel the policy 27th May .
We have paid for 18 days insurance at a cost of nearly £1,800.00 .
They say we are not due any refund !!
This is disgusting , please do not use , daylight robbery !!!

Absolutely disgusted

Absolutely disgusted. Son was involved in a RTA not his fault. My car written off as a result. More questions from the person dealing with the claim than there is on The Chase or Mastermind. Looks lite this company is just looking for every opportunity not to settle my claim. AND its still ongoing almost 5 weeks later with no replacement vehicle, no correspondence regarding the person who caused the accident, nothing from their insurer either. Ill health but currently getting taxis and buses all over.

Awful customer service

My car was written off after the theft of its catalytic converter on 25th February 2022. I was sent a settlement offer on 15th March 2022 which I declined and made a counter offer on 20th March 2022. Despite chasing Sabre on several occasions I did not get a response until 21 April 2022. No apologies for the delay and still an unsatisfactory offer. They clearly do not care for or have any regard for their customers

The worst claim handler

The worst claim handler, keep messing around and not action. Van for disable person been keep on their garage for over two months. Try to avoid them by any cost !
Save yourself hassle !!!!

Think twice (Sterling & Sabre)

Think twice before you buy car insurance from Sterling and Sabre.

I used my international driving licence to buy the car insurance from Sterling last year and later I find that the underwriter is Sabre. Recently, I exchange the international licence for the UK full driving licence and inform Sterling about the change of driving licence. Sterling then told me that the underwriter requested additional premium around £150 without given any reason. It strongly motivates me to look for car insurance service from other companies.

Early days yet

Early days yet. Just taken out a policy including my 2 off-springs added. Good, sensible price, very well organised website. The best part I found was the option to NOT have auto-renew. This was the main selling point for me.

had my insurance cancelled by them as i didnt send them proof of no claims. i was on holiday in the states at the time. ironic considering they were the previous insurer who had proof of my no claims. not impressed and no flexibility whatsoever.

Go Girl - reasonable price/easy setting up

Go Girl car insurance was the cheapest quote through a comparison website (although it cost more when going through to their website for some reason…) and policy easy to set up via the web
