Matt & Paddy

Can not thank Matt & Paddy enough for the work they carried out on my boiler flue, excellent job around, I would highly recommend Safe Gas to my friends and family, will be using them again at boiler service time on my property's.

Safegas were simply brilliant!

Safegas were simply brilliant!
My boiler broke down and it was deemed beyond economical repair by another company. The 'other' company quoted me for a new boiler and the price I received was extortionate, whilst I appreciate boilers can be expensive to replace, I certainly was not ready for the price I received.
Following this quote, I decided to contact Safegas as friends mentioned how fair and honest they are.
Following my morning call for a quote, Safegas attended that afternoon and it was nice to see such a professional outfit, great credit to Daniel. He confirmed what the 'other' company said about it being beyond economical repair although right there and then Daniel provided a ball park figure for the boiler swap. After around an hour or two, I was contacted by Daniel who sent over the quote swiftly.
Following such a swift turn around and Daniel's professional manner, I decided that Safegas were the company for me!
On the day, installer Matt arrived at the time we agreed and installed the new boiler quickly and with no mess. Similar to Daniel, Matt was personable, friendly and very professional!
Thank you to Safegas, in particular, Daniel and Matt for getting me back up and running as promised.
I will certainly be recommending Safegas to my friends and have decided to take out their aftercare plan because now I have a 10 year warranty and the rest of my system is covered by Safegas now

Wrecked Drain

Engineer had to plaster, put remaining plaster down my drain. Lied about it, then when realised it was on camera. “Couldn’t remember” it was a disgrace!!! Maybe know about boilers but wouldn’t trust them without being constantly watched.

A disgrace - avoid at all costs

What they fail to tell you is that when you take out their 5* boiler cover, the majority of parts aren’t actually covered. They will at every opportunity try and exploit their customers to charge the most to maximise their profits over delivering any kind of customer service.
When taking out any cover initially, they’ll appear to be friendly and tell you exactly what you want to hear. When you actually need service though you’ll find a long list of parts most of which aren’t covered under their highest rated plans. Their engineers are a disgrace, often crude and vulgar not to mention completely incompetent.
Avoid this company at all costs!

These exclusions are an industry standard and there are number of legitimate for these; our Customer Services Team would be more than happy to explain these to you.

An excellent team with which to consult…

An excellent team with which to consult & discuss the proposed change of boiler.
Install was well managed, fitters worked well, kept the area tidy and cleaned up on completion. Had an issue afterwards but was resolved promptly.

Avoid at all costs

We would give 0 stars if that was possible as we have received abysmal customer service and communication from what we’d describe as a robbing company. Avoid at all costs. Work was carried out upon their recommendation post our boiler service so we agreed upon a quote for a new downpipe fitting AND a gas fire installation which was £130 total. Reasonable cost so we booked and waited several weeks for a date to which the engineer then turned up and refused to fit the fire but did the other job ( took 30 mins). We were left with no fire and seeking another company in winter who couldn’t fit our fire for 4 more weeks! Safegas deducted just £16+ vat off our bill so this robbing company is demanding £110.88 for the other half of the 30 minute job which my husband could have done himself, Despite requesting them to look into this payment query they say their revised price is correct?!? Hmmmmmm appears to be some serious miscalculation here as we pointed out for them to fit a fire they say is just £16+ vat! Our issue is the revised cost shouldve been communicated prior to doing the job not an afterthought and expecting near enough full payment. Unfair, unprofessional and would not recommend.

The quote you initially received was sent out in error, this was an honest administrative mistake by a member of our team and so we can only apologise for this. The mistake was only brought to our attention when one of our Senior Engineers subsequently attended your property. To be clear, all of the engineering work that we have completed has been of the highest standard. It was administrative mistakes which caused the issues with the installation of your fire.

The quality of the communication you received through the whole process can only be described as poor and we are sure that this falls below the standards we aim to achieve. Safegas holistically attempts to subscribe to the highest standards and as a result of your comments we have reviewed our administrative processes. The necessary changes have been put in place so to avoid mistakes such as these going forward.

Whilst we have admitted our administrative mistakes and accept your dissatisfaction with Safegas, the team believe your social media comments to be unbalanced and not a true reflection of the staff members within our team. Please rest assured that the team has not tried to rob you and take advantage of the situation.

In light of the experience you have had with Safegas, the whole team would like to extend their apologies and fully refund your payment for the works we completed.

I hope that you can see that we have attempted to resolve the situation in a fairer, more professional manner. Should you wish to consider using Safegas at any point in the future, we will commit to providing a service which is beyond your expectations.

Great service but expensive now

Great service of our boiler. Helpful engineer. The only negative, and a big one, is the hike in annual service cost from £74 to £90 !!!! That is a huge % hike !! Might have to look elsewhere. Bought and had a £2k boiler from Safegas no quarms, but to get the 10 x year Guarantee thats nearly an extra £1k now. !!!

As we installed your boiler, you would qualify for our aftercare plan which would include an annual service as well as giving you the peace of mind that the rest of your central heating system would be covered for the duration of your boiler's manufacturer's warranty.

We have a good friend in the Safegas…

We have a good friend in the Safegas fitter/engineer who is very pleasant whenever he comes to our home. He has been maintaining our boiler for many years now and recently we had need to have a new thermostatic valve replaced on a radiator and he turned up, dead on time and did the job efficiently with no mess and in a very short time.

I would highly recommend Safegas

I would highly recommend Safegas. Had a Worcester Bosch boiler fitted just over two years ago and I took out a care plan with them. Very friendly people, especially the engineers when servicing the boiler.

Our experiences with Safe Gas.

We have been customers of Safe Gas since 2005, after a bad experience with British Gas. We have found their service to be excellent in all aspects ranging from telephone conversations, service engineers , fitters and Salespersons alike. We have always felt that our voices have been heard and our requirements dealt with in a polite and professional way. When we needed a new boiler in Nov 2011, we felt confident in choosing Safe Gas to do the work, which also included relocating from the kitchen to the bathroom. We were very happy with the team who did the work, making sure it was completed in the timescale suggested, but also in a friendly and professional way. We were so pleased, we actually recommended them to my mum, who in early 2012, had them to fit a new boiler for her, ( she actually had another new boiler fitted two years later, after moving house!)
Each year when the boiler is serviced, it is usually done by one of two particular engineers, which has enabled us to build up a relationship with them, so it's a chance to have a bit of a catch up. This also tells us that the workers, themselves are happy to be associated with the company. Keep up the good work, Safe Gas, we certainly wouldn't want to lose you. Karen Jones

Great servive provider

We have been using Safegas for over 10 years now and and have found their service invaluable for both routine and emergency issues. The staff are knowledgeable and curtious and usually able to address the issue on the first appointment, only needing a follow-up visit if a replacement part is required. We are happy to recommend Safegas and will continue to employ their services.

Installation of new boiler

Safe-gas have just installed a combi-boiler for us which involved quite a lot of work but they turned up on time on the appointed day and completed the work within the time frame, we did have some minor issues after installation but they were dealt with in a prompt and courteous manner and resolved quickly, we have a maintenance contract with Sage-gas now and look forward to a long and happy association with the company, would recommend this company

Worcester Bosch 30i Combi boiler replacement

We have enjoyed a long relationship with Safegas who have always served us well with the servicing / repair of our Boiler & Central Heating system. When the boiler recently failed they were our natural choice to replace with a new Worcester Bosch 30i Combi boiler. Quoted price was good and the work was efficiently undertaken and completed within a day. The engineers worked in a professional, clean and tidy manner at all times. We would highly recommend Safegas to anyone seeking a replacement C/H boiler.

New Boiler

When British gas fitted a smart meter they condemned the boiler and left us without heating or hot water on a Friday afternoon.
I rang SafeGas and they had an engineer (John) with me within the hour.
He checked it out and assured me it was OK and safe to use although it was getting toward the end of its life and could probably do with replacing.I asked for a quote which I accepted and they installed the new boiler when it was convenient to us.
They (John and Matt) did it in the day and were very tidy ,polite and obviously knew what they were doing.
I would thoroughly recommend them without hesitation for a very efficient and reasonable price.

Punctual, tidy & efficient !

This was scheduled at our convenience and, as expected, was a full days job.
The engineer dealt with a couple of problems that arose efficiently and completed the work in one visit.
He was careful not to make too much mess and left the house in a tidy state.
We are recommending Safegas to friends and family

Efficient, tidy, professional and unrivaled customer service! A******** company!

I recently had 7 radiators replaced by Safegas for a competitive yet fair price and I couldn't be any happier! Adam arrived bang on time at 8.30 in the morning, which from previous experience with others is something that was a welcome surprise. He was very tidy, efficient and went about the work ahead with the utmost professional detail that you could only dream of. This really was a fantastic service from my initial enquiry right through to completion of the work. USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE A CREDIT TO THE COMMUNITY! When my boiler eventually packs in then I will most definitely be calling the Safegas team and so should you!
