Not impressed

Been wearing my new vest for about a month and a half now, and am very pleased with the fit and look. Always hard to size up something online, but they nailed it the first time around. The “Ranger” writing on the patches are crisp and very well done too.

A couple years ago I purchased the standard level 3A/HG2 vest with the intent of wearing it concealed for a spot of church security when I sensed the temperature in our country was heating up. While that concealed okay under baggy Fall/Winter clothes, it printed too much in Spring/Summer attire. So, I finally decided to bite the bullet and purchase the Hyperline.

I was a little skeptical at first, pouring a lot of extra money to shave off a little bulk. But I ordered it on a good deal while on backorder. Took about 4 weeks to arrive (which I expected). And once I received it I was pleasantly surprised. It is indeed much thinner and lighter than the standard 3A Safe Life vest. I'd liken the overall feel to wearing a thick piece of cardboard strapped to your back and chest. It's also much more flexible, contorting to your body especially on the corners around the chest and upper shoulders. Those factors combined are what really helps this armor disappear in my opinion.

It also seems to be trimmed a tad bit around the collar and shoulder edges as compared to the standard 3A, so you might lose maybe a centimeter of coverage, but still thoroughly covering your A and C zone. In exchange its a lot more forgiving in letting you stretch during daily tasks, and critically for security/duty purposes, helps facilitate proper grip stance with your weapon (if applicable).

I've worn it under a tucked dress shirt for a few weeks now in warm late-Spring weather. Of course after a few hours your back will feel stiff and you'll sweat in it, but that's to be expected with any armor. If I had to choose an armor to wear daily though, it would definitely be this one. And so far no one (including those I trust to tell me if I'm printing) has detected it (unless they pat me on the back or shoulder haha). But based off visuals alone it's very impressive how well it hides. And I've seen enough videos and test reviews to trust its ability to stop bullets.

Horrible experience I ordered a large belt was sent an extra large... Sent it back and was told that it was worn even though i've had it for only one day.... Asked for a refund, they denied it and sent me the extra large belt back.... I will not be ordering from this company again. My personal company orders armor from this company. All the time that will cease from here on out. Horrible customer service and decision to not refund my money.
