Non payment

My teenage son participated in a study in July of this year 2024, they have not paid him, and claims he didn't participate in study. I was sitting right nxt to him during the whole study.

Refuse to pay incentive for 1.5 of our time
Never experienced this with schlesinger in the past but since it became Sago it's terrible.
Plus they make you wait a whole month to receive incentives.

I agree with the other reviews

I agree with the other reviews. I've been waiting for almost a month for my "payment." I put it in quotes because they no longer pay you, they just give you a choice of virtual credits cards. I chose the visa so I could at least use it to buy groceries online, but it's been "processing" for almost 3 weeks now. How long can it take to process a virtual payment? Customer services is not helpful.

Do it only if you can wait between a month or 2 for payment

Hi. One spends time, one choose the type of payment and it takes between a month or two to get the compensation. This is the standard email one gets from them:

Since January 2024, for all redemption requests, please note that processing will takes up to 20 business days
(excluding weekends and public holidays) from the date of the redemption request during high volume periods which we are currently experiencing. Once processing is complete, please allow an additional 7-10 business days if a physical card is selected.

Thanks,

It's ridiculous!!! They take too long and the customer service is plain bad.

Agree with other posts-have become frauds

Agree with other posts. I dedicated my 30-40 minutes for the virtual interview (video). Payment type was selected by me August 27. They said maximum of 15 biz days. It is now 18 and still nothing. I'd say they've reached fraud status and simply hope to never pay and you'll just go away.

Back when SAGO was Schlesinger Group…

Back when SAGO was Schlesinger Group payment was great. You finished a session, walked up to the front desk and they handed you an envelope that had either cash or a debit card in it. That was then, this is now. It took me 2 months to redeem my balance for the online surveys and it was only after the second complaint that anything happened. Just completed a survey in their Chicago office last week and no payment on exit, supposed to get an Email eventually with the gift card info.
It's now October 28th and still no payment. Sago refers to this process as a "redemption". They don't seem to realize that they offered me 300 dollars to participate in a Focus Group session and I agreed and participated. At that point Focus Group incurred a debt of $300 dollars that they need to pay. This isn't a question of their being "nice guys" and rewarding me for my service. Never going to participate in one of their events again, either online or in person.

Whenever you see a survey hosted by…

Whenever you see a survey hosted by Sago, immediately shut down the browser tab. They are using underhand tactics to collect information WITHOUT payment. I managed to get in contact with an ex staff member via Glassdoor website and she more or less spilt the beans.

As an example, they have recently been offering 5 minute surveys with very high rewards. According to the ex-employee, this is to entice people to complete the 5 minute survey followed by disqualification. The high reward never existed.

They've even followed the lead of Alchemer by prepending mini surveys to other surveys, and these mini surveys must be completed before the user can progress to the main survey. The mini surveys are also an underhand way to gather more information.

All I want to say to Sago is that you can stick your surveys up where the sun doesn't shine. I have written evidence of your underhand tactics. If you care about running a business honestly, then you are not going about it the right way, and with the information I have, you better act with integrity, you effing sons of female dogs.

Racism and lack of diversity

Racism and lack of diversity! They used to have one white lady and one black lady working the front desk, but not anymore, here is the problem; they have an early bird "Raffle" right? Well, not exactly....since there are ONLY two Mexicans working the desk, they award the bonus to ONLY and primarily OTHER Mexicans or latins...no blacks ...if you did an audit, you would QUICKLY see that THIS indeed is the case, and it NEEDS to be addressed at the highest levels. There SHOULD be at least ONE black person working the desk, and perhaps one working the floor. But there ZERO BLACK AMERICAN employees at their 1455 W. loop location. SOMETHING DESPERATELY NEEDS to be done about this because this is a GLOBAL company, and they SHOULD not be supporting THIS BLATANT DISRESPECTFUL behavior by their OWN employees! I'm NEVER going back and I'm also warning EVERYONE I know about them here in Houston Texas! Black Americans, stay away from SAGO!!!

Unprofessional…

I did a body wash study and chose virtual giftcards. It's been a month and I still haven't received the giftcards. I have contacted them several times, they won't respond.
I never had this problem when they were owned by a different company.
I find this extremely unprofessional and sketchy.

Good When Schlesinger - Horrible as Sago

When it was still known as Schlesinger, I never had a problem being paid promptly.
Under the Sago moniker, it is like pulling teeth to be paid.
They offer to pay right away if you pay a certain percentage as a fee....no thanks, I want what they agreed to pay.

If I could rate it negative stars I…

If I could rate it negative stars I would. I fully believe it a scam, did a body wash study, did everything right, after I got the "points" that is supposed to be equal to 35 dollars, I picked a virtual visa. After I did that, I got a message saying it would take 20 days to "process" the gift card. Here it is, past the ridiculous 20 days, on top of the 6 to 8 weeks, and still I haven't been paid and it still says processing. They are just out here scamming people. Check out the hundreds of complaints on the BBB website. Tons of people never received the money they worked for. I don't know how they can get away with it. Oh, and don't bother trying to contact anyone, they will never get back to you.

No payment for group study

8/5/2024

I did an in-office group study with Sago in May, 2024 and still have not been paid. I asked for a physical Visa gift card and never got one. I have called Sago and left numerous voice mail messages but no one ever called me back. I am very disappointed in Sago.

SAGO! WTH?

What the heck is going on with Sago? It takes soooo long to recieve payment after redeeming points for payment. One of my payments has been processing since July 7th. It's 2 days away from Agust 7th. That's ridiculous! I DO NOT recommend doing market research studies with them!

Experiencing same problem with SAGO as…

Experiencing same problem with SAGO as the others. Requested virtual payment 7/2 and 7/5 and still haven’t been paid. It was never an issue under Schlesinger.

SAGO also had the gall to call me again to participate in another study. I declined saying that I never got paid for the previous ones.

I filed a BBB report.

I don’t know if someone is embezzling or behind on bills or what, but they need to get it together.

I have been doing surveys for…

I have been doing surveys for Schlessinger Group for years, but then Sago took over. I will never do another survey for this company, and I will be posting on social media as well. It takes so long to get paid that I might as well be back in the days of paper surveys and six to eight weeks for the payment. If you contact them, you get the generic "running late for payment, please be patient" tactic. Never again!

never received incentive. They do not answer emails. There is no phone number to contact them when it came time for me to participate. They certainly reached out now. They’ve gone silent so frustrating. Do not participate in any of their surveys.
