Last week I received my second Sakura box, and what's inside is a super fun surprise. It includes a nice information booklet about all the products and how they're made, also information about Japane... See more

I have never been disappointed
I have had three boxes from sakuraco amd each time I've been amazed by what I have gotten! I absolutely love that I can get a little piece of Japan culture! I can't wait to continue to see and learn more! Highly recommend!
Absolute scam
This company is a scam. They make you think it's a one time payment, then they secretly auto renew you without ANY warning or notice, then refuse refunds. Of course they refuse a refund, the whole thing is a scam! Beware! Disputing with my bank currently for an unauthorized charge of $295.

Bringing a Piece of Japan Home
Bringing a Piece of Japan Home: My Sakuraco Review
After returning to Canada from a life-changing trip to Japan, I found myself struggling with the "Japanese blues." I missed the culture and the flavors so much that I wanted a way to stay connected to the country that amazed me. I decided to treat myself to a Sakuraco subscription, and it has been the perfect way to keep those memories alive.
More Than Just Snacks
While I expected high-quality treats, I was blown away by the "extra perks" that came with my experience. Sakuraco goes beyond just food; they provide authentic lifestyle items that make you feel like you’re back in a traditional ryokan.
The Kimono-Style Robe: A beautiful, high-quality piece that adds a touch of Japanese elegance to my mornings.
The Matcha Set: Receiving a traditional cup to prepare my own matcha tea was a highlight. It turned a simple snack time into a mindful ritual.
Authentic Flavors
So far, I’ve only dipped into a few items from the box, but the quality is undeniable. Everything has been incredibly tasty and delicious, featuring authentic seasonal flavors that you simply cannot find in local grocery stores here in Canada. Each bite feels like a tiny trip back to the streets of Kyoto or Tokyo.
The Verdict
This subscription was a "present to myself," and it has been worth every penny. It is more than a snack box; it’s a monthly reminder of the beauties of Japan. If you are looking for a way to cure your travel blues or simply want to experience authentic Japanese culture from your living room, I cannot recommend Sakuraco enough.
The greatest disappointment I've ever had
By far the worst experience with ordering online I've ever had! The onsen retreat advent calendar is a painful scam, where you get to be reminded about your stupidity for purchasing this horrible product every day. The low-effort cheap items in every day are just so cheap and bad that they make me want to cry, and they kill the mood for the entire day. Opening each box just feels like an insult both to me as a customer, and the Japanese culture as a whole. The only nice thing about the advent calendar is the visual aesthetic of the boxes. Random items on different days - tiny scraps/rags, tasteless cheapest/simplest lollipops you could find on the market.
If I had known the crap they add to the calendar - I wouldn't have wanted it even if it was free. Because the form is an advent calendar - essentially the experience you get is a reminder every day "you're such a loser - you paid 200$ for this crap 😅". I feel attacked.

Excellent quality, good variety!
Love it already and this is just my first box! Got my first box and all I have to say is wow! 🤩 a full box of super yummy snacks! I was surprised at just how much was in it, and a great variety- crunchy, sweet, umami. Also love the little booklet that shares what each snack is and a little history about Japan and its culture. I Am so excited for what’s in the next one!

They changed the renewal date of the subscription 5 days earlier and took my money. Because of that, I paid for an extra month without actually wanting to. I sent an email with proof that they didn’t keep up their end of the subscription, and I received a gift card instead of my money.

First box and subscription post-Japan…
First box and subscription post-Japan trip blues and this really helped a lot. It took me back there again and more! Each included snack are of highest quality and love. I love the booklet it came with and the thoughtful postcard with the founders message on it. I love that some snacks came in two, too. Easy to share with others. I shall now try to find some of these snacks at my local Japanese grocery store in London. Thank you!
Out of this world package
The Nagano box from Sakuraco was an amazing assortment of snacks and culture. You can tell how carefully everything was crafted from the selection of goods to the booklet explaining it all. I couldn’t have asked for a better box.
Holiday snacks perfect for holiday season
The snacks came in a lovely box with a beautiful card and a booklet to explain eack snack it detail. I love mochi and snacks from fukuoka and Ebi Osenbe. This box was perfect. The holiday box is the first of twelve and we are very excited for the next year and all the little snacks to come. 🥰
Delicious
I had been considering subscribing to the Sakuraco snack box for years and finally took the plunge. The treats are varied between sweet and savory and are all delicious. I am a tea lover and was excited to try their local teas. All in all, it is a fun little monthly treat!
I recommend it
I received my first box the December box 2025 and it was amazing. It had a lot of really tasty treats and a beautiful handcrafted plate. The snacks were of high quality and was a good mix of different types.
I got it shipped to Sweden and the package arrived without damage and in a reasonable time frame. It was nice to easily be able to get updates of the delivery status along the way.
I am already exited for next month's box.
SakuraCo
I learned about SakuraCo from YouTube and I wasnt disappointed, the packaging is really nice and cute, the snacks themselves are aswell and it came relatively fast, I could easily track the package as well
Delicious and educational!
Got a box as a gift for my birthday, coincidentally it was for snacks from Osaka, which is also my favorite Azumanga Daioh character! Various yummy treats varying in sweet, savory, crunchy, chewy, etc. Fun reading along with the guidebook learning how they came to be and what they are made of.

Got the box shipped to Norway without any issues. Had to pay import tax which is the only thing keeping me from getting several months subscription - not the company's fault!
The box' content was exciting, a little adventure to try every snack. I really enjoyed all of it except the wasabi flavor snack, but still fun to try! The informational leaflet was interesting and well made too. Definitely recommend trying this for at least a month
2nd Sakuraco box....
Amazingly quick service from Japan to UK, excellently packed. Really looking forward to trying the interesting curated items in this box. Some items will repeat memories from a recent Japan trip, others will be new items, which I'm sure I'll want to try again

Great way to explore Japan from the comfort of your own home. I love the monthly themes, the little ceramic gifts and of course the snacks themselves! Always a good mix of things and with surprising flavors.
Best Traditional Snack Box! (After lots of testing)
As a new Sakura Co subscriber, I went in skeptical after trying many other Japan-themed snack boxes that often rely on inexpensive, mass-produced treats marketed as premium simply because they’re imported.
Sakura Co feels so much different! Their boxes feature region-exclusive snacks and small-batch, handcrafted items that genuinely carry higher value if purchased individually. The addition of a homeware item that’s actually made in Japan further sets it apart from competitors.
Overall, the selection feels topical, thoughtful, and filled with items you’re unlikely to find elsewhere. I rate it 8/10, deducting points only for a few items arriving slightly damaged (cracker type items so hard to deliver in tact I’m sure!) and the higher price compared to other boxes—neither of which is a deal-breaker!!
Abundant box
I got this as a present for my birthday from my boyfriend after being in Japan together. And it's the best gift he could give me. Now that I'm missing Japan and the Japanese food I still have this package to look forward to every month. It's a very abundant package, I was really surprised by that. Also loved the bonus presents!

Each item is handpicked and matches a different theme. I love the attention to detail, the storytelling, and the wide selection of treats. Having a piece of Japan every month is considered self-care and good for your mental health!
This little box is such a delight
This little box is such a delight. I adore Japan and get so sad when I return home that this keeps me in some way connected. I love the beautiful gifts, the delightful teas and delicious snacks. I also appreciate how they are sourced.
