Terrified at first, but they actually delivered!

After reading all the reviews I was terrified that my order from Lowe's wouldn't show up for weeks or at all since they used Sameday to ship my order. To my surprise, and almost everyone else in my family, our order actually came 2 days after the expected delivery date. The delivery guy even called us the day before delivery to schedule a time to deliver the next day. Then on the day of the delivery he called an hour before to re-confirm someone would be home. The delivery driver then called again when they were outside our house to let us know they were here. They were very accommodating even though it was pouring rain all day and there was nothing missing from the entire order. I don't know if we were just very lucky to have a responsible delivery guy but maybe Sameday can ask him to train all their other delivery drivers.

I ordered flooring from Home Depot

I ordered flooring from Home Depot, May 22, they ship it out the 27th being picked up by Sameday. Everytime I send an email or call they say its in transat from Toronto to Woodstock. Will not committ to a day or time for delivery. These guys have the worst customer service I have ever experienced. 3 weeks in the waiting. Have no idea where my flooring is??

Avoid dealing with this company.

WORST DELIVERY SERVICE EVER

If zero stars was an option I would have selected that. Alas, they get a one. This company "lost" a patio set we ordered from Home Depot. Why are these mega companies relying on a sub-par delivery service???! After OVER A MONTH of no tracking information, daily calls to their office and LIES from their end..."your patio set is in transit...should be delivered this week" they showed up with only 1/2 boxes. It was DESTROYED. A glass table with boot marks all over the box and torn up on every corner. The driver says "oh your other box must have been on another truck. That's just how the warehouse works. It will be here tomorrow." Then tomorrow arrived...and so did the delivery truck...WITH NOTHING ON IT!! Again, they couldn't find the other box (chairs) for our patio set. The driver's response: "I will write you a letter." WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN?????!!! Just a joke. We will NEVER EVER order from Home Depot again. And after reading other reviews, we will avoid Costco and Ikea like the plague as well. DO NOT TRUST THIS DELIVERY COMPANY!!!!!!

Why is Costco still using this company to deliver its products?

Review written on Feb 10, 2020.
I ordered an item from Costco on Jan 30th. About two days later I received a call from the shipping company (Same Day, via Day Ross), to schedule a delivery window. We agreed on next Friday (Feb 7th) between 9 and 2 PM.
I had to stay at home for the delivery and Friday morning I got another call to be informed that due to weather condition, the item will not be delivered on Friday. Although the conditions outside were not as bad as they claimed (in my opinion), I agreed on their explanation.
Another day to stay to at home (not at work) and Monday morning I got another call and without any explanations, the person at the other end asked me to select another delivery window, either next Wednesday or Friday. I start complaining about the issue and again, no explanation was given. I had to take it or leave it. That means another day to stay at home.
I had to agree, I asked for the manager phone number, but apparently the manager is not in this week (how convenient). I called Costco customer service to complain and they where not able to do anything about it as well. At this point I have to wait with no guarantees that I will have my item on Wednesday. The only thing I found out from Costco was that the item is at the warehouse close to my location since Friday (the 7th).
Update (24 Feb) - the item was delivered on Wednesday as agreed the third time. Costco managed to give me a discount on the product, and I hope those issues will make Costco change their delivery vendor.

I ordered a 70" TV from Costco and…

I ordered a 70" TV from Costco and Sameday delivery was the company being used. They contacted me day before delivery to ask if I'd be home January 28th 2020 and I said yes. They said window is from 9 to 5. Took full day off work. Finally received call at 4pm stating will be there in 45 minutes to an hour. About 5.30 pm the door bell finally rings! They were so disgusting and rude! 1 guy took off immediately after dropping box at front door. The other was rushing me to sign without having a chance to inspect the box! He just kept saying sign here and print your name. I asked if they could take TV downstairs as I have a couple cracked ribs. He replied NO, ONLY DROPPING IT AT FRONT DOOR. Then, he took off right away! Costco please STOP using such a terrible company that's only going to tarnish your image!

drivers driving away with your stuff

SWK0188406-3, says one pcs, wife signs for it, 69Lbs? Well she signed for 23Lbs, paid for 3 got 1 kinda deal, 457$ thank you Home Depot. Do their drivers also clean out the trucks after a hard day hustle? Guess it's too late to search now, mfks

Why have a woman that cannot communicate in english answer the phone for pick ups?..like..seriously?..i wonder how many times a day she gets hung up on and business goes elsewhere...never again..

Ask your neighbor!

I ordered a gazebo from Home depot, I went on to track it on Sunday night and it had said delivered Friday. So I had called them to find out where it was they had said it was delivered my response was to where?!?! They had asked me if I checked my doorsteps, mind you it’s a gazebo I’m pretty sure I would see the box laying around my property. They asked me if I checked with my neighbors, like I’m going to go door to door asking “has anyone seen my gazebo it’s missing”. They said they would look into it and contact me back so needless to say I had to call them back and still no idea what’s going on. I will never ever use this company again nor will I order off Home Depot online. This company is ridiculous. Do not use this company if you want your parcels to ever come. If I could of given lower then 1 star I would have!

Very friendly, 5 stars.

Very friendly, great customer service and delivered 2 days early. At first I had a problem with tracking but once I phoned I noticed I was entering the first 3 letters wrong..SML, not SM1. Very friendly receptionist. Delivery driver called before arriving to confirm name, address & package description. He was friendly & very helpful. From pickup in ON to delivery in AB took one week. 5 stars.

SHOULD BE RENAMED "SOMETIME THIS YEAR.CA"

This is the most pathetic delivery service ever imposed on me. They have already missed two deadlines on the delivery of a shed from Home Depot, which has been in their possession for over a week. I could have carried the bloody thing on my back from the GTA to Ottawa faster than these characters operate. Home Depot needs to contract with someone else. My days of shopping at Home Depot are over.

Sameday worldwide.

I waited forever for a refund. They are definitely the WORST shipping company in Canada.

Sameday myAss, should be called ShittyDelivery

I ordered a patio set from Walmart, which comes in two boxes, a large box for the table, and a separate large box for the chairs. This company was hired by Walmart to deliver my purchase. The delivery was extremely unprofessional and disrespectfully conducted. We put a notice on the door that we were home and two cars were in our driveway. In any event, the delivery was conducted by two employees, who threw the box with the table on the porch, never rang the doorbell to notify us that the delivery was made, and they failed to deliver the second box containing the 6 patio chairs.

The idiotic delivery guys did take the time to take a picture of the box on the porch, as proof that the delivery had been made.

We waited all day at home for the delivery, and lost a day’s pay. Then this company notified Walmart that the delivery had been made, which caused Walmart to issue a receipt that stated we received our complete order, which was completely false.

When I contacted this company for an explanation of where the other part of the order was, and why it had not been delivered, all I got was the run-around and no answers.

We have still yet to receive our complete order. I have spent several hours on the phone with this company, Walmart, and visa, in order to resolve a problem caused by this company alone.

They are unreliable, and unprofessional, which is why they have a 1 star rating out of 23 reviews, and a C- rating by the BBB. They should be out of business. Who would trust these morons with delivering anything?

SAMEDAY IS A VERY INCOMPETENT COMPANY!!

I sent Sameday this email and want to share it with other's who have bad experiences with Sameday also.

Hello,
I am so fed up with all the run around I have been getting about my missing box. 4 boxes were delivered on Dec 20,2018 at 10:05am.
The delivery person left 4 boxes outside my door and the boxes were ripped and damaged. I have a sign I keep on my downstairs door saying >DO NOT LEAVE OUTSIDE PLEASE RING 3 TIMES< which the delivery person did not respect!! I only saw the 4 boxes when I went downstairs to check my mail in the afternoon, so they were left in the open all day. I live in a busy area, and because I have a copy that states all my items were DELIVERED, the smaller box with 7 smaller items was definitely stolen. I spoke to a rep and she said someone would call me in 24 hours. I didn't get a call so I called again and a rep told me he would call me back on
Dec 24,2018 but he never called me back either. Yesterday, Jan 8 2019, I called back AGAIN and a rep told me they sent out a 2nd request to a Montreal depot, because they didn't hear from them with the 1st request. She told me it would take 2-3 days to hear from them...another excuse and another waiting game!!
It's obvious by now that the Montreal depot would know that 5 boxes were delivered by a copy of the statement from Sameday which says 5 PIECES, and if they were to get in contact with Walmart they would know about the DELIVERY confirmation email I received with the order #***********. The box which was stolen is not Walmart's fault in any way, it's Sameday's fault and they owe me the money for 7 missing items.
The missing items are:
-Great Value Maraschino Cherries $2.97
-2 boxes of Fancy Feast canned cat food $14.94
-3 boxes of Great Value soda crackers $6.00
-Scotch Magic tape $5.97
The total Sameday owes me is $29.88 + taxes, because Sameday is a very incompetent company. It's not Walmart's responsibility to pay me back the money. Whether it was Canada Post or another company who hired you to do deliveries, they should have done a background check first!! I will definitely be leaving a REVIEW COMPLAINT about this for other people to read about your incompetency, along with others who have left bad reviews about Sameday which I already read.
So all in all, if I don't receive an email by tomorrow the latest, with NO EXCUSES, you leave me no choice but to deal with this issue with the Better Business Bureau, which I told the last rep.
