From the website which was my first encounter with Savernake to the incredibly helpful, nothing-is-too-much-trouble approach from everyone I spoke to, it has been a brilliant experience. So helpful in enabling me to choose all the options to create a birthday gift which could not have been more successful. Resulting in an exquisitely beautiful chef's knife which I know will be used for years to come.

Flawless service from the start.

I got the DNA set 4 knives with orange theme handles. They are wonderfully sharp and such an interesting colour scheme that really does fill me with joy every time I walk past them. I also got a matching honing steel which works fantastically well and is much better than my old one. I wouldn't hesitate to order more from the company. The service is also exceptional, free sharpening for the first three eats is well beyond my expectations.

Amazing Birthday gift!

I ordered the knife as a birthday present and was made aware that it usually takes around a month to be made and come to me, however I emailed the team and they somehow managed to get it to me within 13 days of me ordering it in time for my birthday. It is everything I want in a knife and even better it came so quickly. Cannot thank everyone at Savernake enough for that.

I decided to treat myself to a decent set of knives, and had seen adverts for Savernake, and have connections to Marlborough and the West Country, so it all felt right. Laurie was brilliant to deal with from start to finish, from letting me visit the sawmill at short notice, to really good practical advice on colours, which knives I'd actually use in reality, and materials.

The knives themselves arrived quickly, beautifully packaged and are a joy to use. The knife wrap is a stunning piece of craftsmanship. Are these cheap knives? No. Are they good value knives? Yes, without doubt. Buy well, buy once, and these are clearly knives that will outlive me. Even though they're "only" from the DNA range, they're unique to me. The colour way and engraving were things I could choose, and that makes them mine.

Will definitely be ordering again from Savernake, and I can't recommend them highly enough.
