AVOID SAXOPRINT (Use them and regret)

I have been using Saxoprint for a number of years and been relatively happy. Until now. Made an order on the 19th of Jan 2022 for delivery on the 27th Jan.
This order is for my customer. When I checked their delivery tracking, it makes it clear to me that details are dishonest and I wrote to them for delivery time???
A response came back via email with more lies that the goods are being checked at the customs??? bearing in mind these are printed leaflets and not contraband.
This morning I phoned for clarification and was told by an ubnoxious rude person that this is within their parameters of service. WHAT?
He would not shut up and constantly interrupted me.
The conversation was cut and left me with unanswered questions.
How can any company be allowed to trade with this appalling attitude and service. The whole setup is con!!
My customer is cancelling his order and demanding refund. Saxoprint customer service is estimating delivery to be next week after 1st of February. Can somebody translate this message to this person that the order is dead and my customer wants his money back now. This is an experience I wish to not ever go through with any other company.
For Saxoprint's sake, they need to sack their customer service team and re-employ responsible and polite people or they risk to be buried under avalanche of complaints. I hope their peers read these comments and do something to steer their company from imminent disaster.
I shall never use this racket again.

Poor quality, not as described, won't give me my money back

I ordered 5000 flyers on recycled paper. Nowhere at any point in the buying process was I told that the paper they were using to print on would not be white!

The colour of paper stock is pretty fundamental, basic and vital information for the customer which should have been clarified at the point of sale, not buried elsewhere in the website. Instead they are misrepresenting what they are selling. Why on earth would anyone be reasonably expecting anything but white paper stock when it is not described otherwise in the product description?

The print is dull and not at all vibrant, and the white areas of the flyer resemble a tobacco stained yellow colour. The flyer looks like it's been left in direct sunlight for the past few weeks. This is of no use to me or my client.

When I raised a complaint I was told that this is just the way their paper is, and the colour is "within our tolerances". They offered a 15% discount, which is absolutely useless to me when my client has rejected the entire job due to the dull print and yellow-white areas. I paid good money for printing and didn't expect such lacklustre results or truly awful customer service.

They told me I should have dug elsewhere on their website for information about the paper they use. If the paper colour and quality (or lack of) had been clearly explained at the point of sale by means of a colour description or disclaimer, I would never have ordered them. But there was nothing to suggest the paper was not white.

Maybe that's the point - hiding vital details from customers at the point of sale makes more profit for Saxoprint, right?

Absolutely awful experience. I don't think I even need to express how much this company should be avoided like Covid-19, unless you fancy involving Trading Standards to get your money back. That will be my next step unless the issue is resolved.

Express order is a delusion!!!

Express order is a delusion!!!

I've put an express order (2 days) for business cards at Saxoprint. Unfortunately, I received them 4 days later than promised, which was an issue. When contacting, Saxoprint they invoked custom clearance delays (production is in Germany). For Saxoprint, the production had taken place within 2 days, and the delivery was not their responsibility.

So don't pay the >50 CHF surcharge for an Express order. It is improbable that you will get it in time!!!

PS: Although, Saxoprint did not show any empathy for the problem (it is somebody else fault), they reimbursed me the express surcharged. Unfortunately, the negative impact of not having business cards for my event was done.

Printing fine - delivery and customer service not

I should preface this by saying that I am in Northern Ireland and some of the difficulties in delivery appear to be Brexit-related. As against that, the company has had eight months to sort those out.

With my first order I received two-thirds of what I had ordered; the other parcel got stuck in tracking. A second order did not arrive at all. Customer services was slow to respond at times and appeared to follow a cumbersome process where my report about non-delivery had to be referred through to a complaints team for investigation Eventually I was offered a pro rata refund on the first order and a full refund on the second (though I had used a £5 off voucher on the second, the advantage of which I've now lost).

The problem with a pro rata refund is that, the way print pricing works, it doesn't reflect the cost to me of placing a new order for the outstanding copies. In legal terms, damages should put the customer in the position they'd have been in had the contract actually been performed. I pointed out the issue twice, but they refused to accept the point. In the end I took what was being offered and ran, deeply dissatisfied.

The irony is that the print quality on the part order I did receive was good, and the paper was actually better quality than with other trade printers I've used. Despite what has been said in other reviews about packing, the box was sturdy and well-packed, so they must have learned there. Had they been able to actually deliver my orders, or had their customer services found a satisfactory resolution, they'd have had a customer for life. As it is, I won't be coming back.

Several weeks late

Several weeks late, only received a third of the goods ordered, then offered a refund of only 20% of the value of goods. Well I wont be accepting that given I am out of pocket, and had loss of business, inconvenience and lots stress due to their negligence. I have requested a full refund, i do hope they accept as I cant take much more of their poor customer service which many emails contradict the previous emails received.

Inept and poor customer service.

Having used Saxoprint successfully for a number of years we have been very disappointed with them recently. We waited nearly 2 months for our printing, which they tried to blame on the courier, but it was Saxoprint who hadn't completed the paperwork correctly. We have been given a refund and a derisory £25 voucher, but still no printing and no responsibility taken for their ineptitude. We will never use them again.

dont use

was expecting my 2 parcels on the 28th Dec. It is now 16th Feb (7 weeks later) keep getting told they are on the way. offered no refund by saxoprint. DPD today have told me they cant find where it is as the tracking hasnt tracked it for 7 days so i have to now go back to saxoprint and start my order again! its disgusting. Also they do all their printing in Germany and that ist mentioned on the website at all so all orders are shipped from Germany

Used to be good. Not now.

Based in Germany, which they do not publicize - UK phone number etc. Uses courier who is unable to ship outside Germany because of border issues, but they still happily take orders, print them and then let them sit in their warehouse. Why continue to take orders if you can't get them to your customers??Customer service not really interested and blames everyone else. What a pity. Used to be very good. Will be looking elsewhere.

Speedy delivery, quality finish, tricky cancellation process

Speedy delivery, considering it was being shipped from mainland Europe - to my knowledge. Great quality finish.

Not 5 star because I had made an error (first time using the system) and had to cancel my initial order - long before even the proofs were ready. Unfortunately, I then had to contact customer service to get a reimbursement link. Only to then not be able to refund back to my credit card.

Debit card details entered, along with Credit Institution, IBAN, BIC details. I had never had to deal with that with a company anywhere in Europe, especially one with a UK website. Equally, I wasn't used to having to dig up those details.

Regardless, the cancellation was my fault and the refund did come back promptly.

The completed order arrived in about 5 working days, securely packaged and bundled.

I would recommend again but I would suggest paying very careful attention to the process.

bad customer service

I have used Saxoprint for many many years and given them thousands of pounds worth of business but in the last 4-5 months there customer service is appalling the repro, print, and finishing departments are doing there bit but once it get to dispatch it all goes T***s up!!!

The number of times I have told them not to put 25kg in paper thin boxes I have lost count! you may as well talk to a brick wall, boxes and boxes split open and the contents not fit for purpose when you get back to them they are not interested “we always print more then you ordered is a regular reply try tell that to your customer.

I would think hard and long before using them in future....

Clueless

When I originally found Saxoprint I was amazed at the competitive prices that they could offer. However I very quickly found out that there was a justified reason for their pricing - they are unable to provide the service that you pay for.

We are a gifting company and wanted to create a gift message greetings card for our customers. We downloaded the card template from their website and gave this to a graphic designer to convert for us. We then placed an order on their site for 50,000 cards and uploaded the design. Very simple so far...

However we then start to get emails from the company stating that the template we have uploaded is wrong. I explained to them that it was their template and that if it was wrong then they would need to sort it at their end, given we had already paid a designer to convert it to their template. They then came back with a list of errors with the file, including no bleed, front cover overlapping onto the back and lo resolution. I advised them that you could see their template underneath the design so how could this be. I advised them that we also had a hi-res .ai file (as the original template was downloaded in .ai) however they states that they did not accept this type of file???? Why then allow customers to download your template in a file format that you do not accept???

I finally asked them to cancel the order and refund. Unfortunately they have still failed to do this and I have now had to involve PayPal to force through a refund.

Extremely poor company with no idea what they are doing. I would not recommend wasting your time and effort in trying to get anything from them.

Bye Felicia!

Unfortunately for Saxoprint, when they lost my business for my last two orders with one company, they lost them for the other clients I represent. Online word of mouth is so important these days, and their customer services falls so far short of what i expect from a professional company. So I'll be taking my business from all accounts elsewhere.

Disgracefully poor company

After a number of years using Saxoprint for the cheap jobs, they've completely come unstuck with our last two orders. There have been multiple issues, from previews not matching the artwork (in any way) and paid for proofs not being what's actually printed, to poor quality printing, where folding is uneven printing is cracked on folds and alignments being off, despite passing their artwork checks.

The attitude of the customer services at Saxoprint has put me off this company so badly, i will never use them again. I'll take my measly 20 jobs a year to another printer.

I've had to take my complaint through small claims at this stage and I'll update the outcome, which I'm confident on, after receiving support from Trading Standards.

Poor quality all round

Poor quality all round. Ordered 5000 leaflets, received them and they still had the trimming marks on them. When I complained they said it was my fault.

They did offer to print me another 5000, but because they were still usable (and not keen on waste for the sake of it) I said I would prefer credit on my account or a slightly different design, they said no.

I only went with them because they were cheap, so I guess you get what you pay for. I will not be using them again. Avoid.

Have been using Saxoprint for the best…

Have been using Saxoprint for the best part of a decade for nearly all of my printing needs. Quality is usually very good BUT, if anything goes wrong, be prepared to deal with appalling and rude customer service. As they say, the measure of a good company is how they deal with complaints. In this case, horrendously. Only reason I don't change is that I get the same thing printed repeatedly, so it is just easier to sent it through rather than change it slightly for the next company. Life being too short, and all that.

Excellent all rounders!

I've been using Saxoprint for over 2 years now and can't fault the quality, ease of use (via their website), delivery times and pricing. I recommend them to all my print designers and marketeers!
