I participated in an auction on SCA Auctions thinking I was getting a great deal. I “won” a motorcycle for $100, but by the time all fees were added (auction fees, transaction fees, storage, and additional charges), I ended up paying nearly $2,400.
This experience was extremely disappointing and misleading. The final cost was nowhere near transparent during the bidding process. As a first-time buyer (not a dealer), I feel this system is designed to attract users with very low bids and then compensate through excessive and unclear fees.
If you are considering using this platform, be aware that the winning bid price does NOT reflect the real cost. Make sure you fully understand all hidden fees before participating.
I would not recommend this platform for individuals who are not experienced with auction systems

I won a car for 600 they put all these sneaky fees in and the car came up to 3000. When I said I didn’t want the car anymore they told me if I didn’t pay the would cancel the car and still take the 3,000 out my account!! They are a scam bad attitudes!! Do not get a car from there

SCA is purely a broker, and is quite deceiving in its tactics to force you to use their preferred shipper. (Which i'm sure they get a great kickback from). They have horrible support and create more problems than just using IAA. They do not allow you the option to select an option for your own commercial carrier when you pay your invoice, they just send you a crazy priced shipping invoice from bidux, after you just paid for the vehicle???
When I ask SCA for my pickup pin, they say "read the fine print in our agreement" and send you on a goose chase to have you complete a release of liability form with your carriers info and insurance info. etc.. Bottom line I PAID MY INVOICE (with your unreal fees), AND WAS NOT GIVEN MY NEEDED PICKUP INFO. Vehicle is at an IAA auction site, so I call IAA, who says they sent SCA the info, then SCA sends me to their shipper Bidux, and Bidux sends me back to SCA. Whatever SCA says in response to this review, if any, is pure crap

A very quick, easy, automated system.
No issues thus far.
Look forward to dealing with again.

Worst support I have seen, probably. They have cars on Big Island, Hawaii. I am asking, how to search for these cars only and the support person (Pauline) answered: There are no branches on Big Island, the location cannot be selected. THE ONLY AUCTION YARD IN HAWAII is in Kapolei. --
But if you search by 96720 ZIP and 50-mile radius, you will see cars. Pauline does not know that and continues to answer "there are no cars on Big Island"... Also, she removes the history of emails. Every answer you will get will be without any context.

The fee they charge you is very high, and you think that by paying the membership you trust the description of the problems, they will tell you the truth about the main problem and they don't tell you. If it says hail, it is likely that the engine or transmission is bad, which is what happened to me.

This is a very good website to look for salvage cars, good prices and a lot of models. It depends on what you’re looking for and the time you have to fix them or to sell them. Paid the deposit but I no longer have the time to work on my project, hopefully I get to use the website in the future again!

This company is created to rape customers. Any good review they have is not someone who is being truthful. I have purchased vehicles from over 8 other online auction sites and none of them charge anywhere close to half the bid price. This company charged MORE than the bid price in fees. They charge a deposit not applicable towards any transaction, the bid calculator that supposedly shows you actual projected cos loopts was missing in action AND, when you have a issue with the total extortion amount they are blackmailing you for and you just want our, they're taking all of the security deposit. Use any other site you want, just don't use this one. EVER.

I've bid on many online autos at auctions previously, but this is the first company I would NEVER use again.
I had the high bid, and they would not give me the car. They said it had a reserve, but online had no reserve stated or buy it now.
Next, you have to make a $1,000 deposit before you can even bid, then you must request it to be returned. The auctions fees are extremely HIGH. For example,
If the Final bid was only $25, their fees would be:
Documentation fee: $199
Transaction fee: $299
Auction fee: $290
Now your $25 car just cost you $813.
This fee is based on only $25! Do the math.

SCA is a great company to deal with. The people are really great people with beautiful personalities. They're not hard to get in contact with. No long hold time, if any. And they're very understanding folks. Give'em a shot; you won't ever look to another.

The website is high-quality user-friendly. It took no time to figure out what I wished, and bidding became clear and predictable. Got my 2021 Wrangler with no troubles, and it showed up right on time!

When something goes incorrect, that’s when you absolutely see what a enterprise is product of. I had a hiccup at some stage in my transaction – a small mistakes with the billing – and I turned into concerned it'd grow to be a drawn-out ordeal. But to my marvel, the SCA customer service team jumped in at once. They recounted the issue, explained what took place, and had the whole lot sorted out inside 24 hours. I was stored inside the loop the complete time, and I never needed to chase anybody down. That kind of professionalism and velocity made me believe them even extra. I'm already making plans my next purchase.

Jason without a doubt made my auction experience unforgettable. I reached out due to the fact I become uncertain approximately which vehicle to go for, and he took the time to stroll me thru several options primarily based on my finances and options. It felt like speaking to a knowledgeable friend rather than a pushy shop clerk. He even despatched me additional information and pointed out matters I wouldn’t have observed on my own in the photos. Thanks to him, I placed a assured bid and ended up triumphing a stable car. The situation on arrival turned into spot-on—no surprises, no drama. That kind of customized provider is hard to come by using these days.

BUYER BEWARE!! If I can give a company zero stars, this one would be it. My husband and I are looking for a vehicle that would get us from point A to point B. We found a vehicle we really liked and saw the price was $1000. We looked at the terms and conditions and found that they would have a fee of $299, which we were prepared to pay because we understand it wasn't going to just be $1000. We then received an invoice of $2500 on top of the $1000 we already paid. This business did not disclose these fees with us at the time at purchase and when I called them to cancel the purchase and was told that I would have to pay $2000. This is the most unethical company. They are the most rude people I've ever dealt with. DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY EVER. You might as well buy a newer used car that you know for sure actual starts from else where. This company is just one massive headache.

After dealing with so many bugs in their system that didn't allow me to put in bids I was finally able to buy 2 vehicles the first I ended up paying 100 extra in storage fees because they didn't get back to me for 3 days that the wire transfer had gone through. Then they tried to charge me 295 for shipping and gave me a whole run around when I told them I found outside shipping. Over the coarse of a week I must have made 30-40 calls tying to deal with all the issues from them. Never work with them again, better to just go to a local iaa auction

I've purchased a total of three cars under this company's auctions. Two of the purchases went off with no issues. However, one of the purchases had a Vin that didn't match the title. When I contacted accounting to report the issue and seek help, they pretty much blew me off as thou it was my problem and wouldn't help me. Lesson learned; check the vehicle against the title they provide at time of pick-up. The other issue with this company is how long many of the cars sit on the auction site without ever coming to an actual auction date.
