Charging for random service
I downloaded Scalable Capital back in 2023 and never used it. This week, they took 35 euros out of my account and said that I ordered a Prime Broker service last March. I haven't used this app for over a year and simply have not purchased or agreed to any upgraded service. When contacting customer service, they said: "sorry, but you got to pay" and told me to go find the IBAN in a random email in my inbox. I feel scammed. I also can't find a straightforward way to close my account with them, whereas Trade Republic has a nice, compliant opt-out method. I wouldn't recommend Scalable Capital at all.

Customer support is dramatically worse nowadays
The mobile and web app are quite good, but customer support is dramatically worse nowadays. The in-person support has been replaced by AI bots that don't give enough information, just regurgitate more of the same present on the FAQ from the website. You can still send a contact message, and wait for support to reply, but it usually comes many days after you send, so you cannot rely on it for urgent matters. There's no telephone or customer support via chat anymore, just AI bots. Scalable Capital made me switch to it back in 2022, as the best broker in Germany, but since 2024 I'm wondering if I should consider an alternative.

It is a good app for investing but….
It is a good app for investing. But it definitely needs improvement in terms of services offered. They should start direct partial buying of stocks. Not all stocks are listed. Probably should start pro version of app for traders or experts

Great broker
Great broker. Easy to use ! Provides Tax certificate, such a relief. A bit expensive transactions if you don't have their Prime Broker

Things done the right way
I've been using Scalable Capital for quite some time now and I have nothing but praise for the product, the pricing, the customer support and the UX/UI.

Worst customer feedback
I lost my phone SIM and needed customer support to change my number. I live in Munich and requested help via email or mail since I have all my documents except the SIM card. They didn't responded via a email. They picked my called and said they cann't help me on phone. I eventually bought a new SIM card, costing me two years of my contract, and updated my account login. I have all my savings in my Scalable Account, and it was a frustrating experience with no adequate support. I do not recommend their service. It was the worst experience I've ever had.
One of the better brokers in Germany
Good
- The platform is fairly stable
- Their communication through the app is great
- It’s fairly well known & gives off a more mature vibe
Bad
- Transfers are excruciatingly slow
- Getting US tax exemption is painfully manual
- No fractional share yet
- Support is horrendous. Then again, most German companies have notoriously bad customer support

Support incompetent
2 week of useless mail with support center. I`m not able to perate neither with app or laptop after migration. The answer from the support is that I have an outdated android version. Unbelievable. By By scalable. Perfect until you do not experience some real issue

Concerns About Account Handling and Fund Safety
However, over the past month, I’ve had the most frustrating customer support experience I’ve ever encountered.
Without any explanation, Scalable cancelled my broker account. Despite multiple emails and dozens of phone calls, I’ve received no answer. My Wealth account was deactivated abruptly, and the funds were not returned — they’ve effectively been missing for a month, still without any info. Even now, as I try to move on and transfer my portfolio elsewhere, Scalable has yet to provide the necessary information to complete the depot transfer. The first line support is available but not able to provide any information o real support.
If you’re considering a new broker, I would strongly recommend looking for a more reliable provider. A smooth user interface is nice — but I would choose reliable support and the peace of mind that your savings are safe.

Ignored and Excluded: No Support for Vision-Impaired Users
I've contacted Scalable several times about accessibility issues with their dark mode layout, but unfortunately never received a reply — not even a simple acknowledgement.
I have vision impairments, and the combination of black background with orange and green text is very difficult and painful for me to read. On a laptop it's barely tolerable, but on mobile it's simply unbearable. It's disappointing that there's no option to switch to light mode, especially for users with visual sensitivities.
I'm seriously considering closing my account because I feel ignored and excluded as a user. I wish the designers could experience this kind of visual strain themselves — maybe then they’d understand the importance of accessible design.
Please consider implementing a light mode or at least responding to users who raise accessibility concerns.

Decided to stop after two years
I wanted to switch my linked device to another device, after I disconnect and dislinked the previous device , I cannot login anymore on the new one because it require 2 step verification to login, and somehow they cannot send verification code to my registered phone number to complete the process.
Because of this I lost access to my account and entire portfolio for the whole week, contacted customer service, they sent a manual message to my phone number which was received perfectly, but still can’t receive the 2FAS verification code so cannot login. Finally, they removed my account’s 2fas so I can login, but now the account is not protected because any hacker can login with a simple password….
It’s been another week past and I still cannot reactivate 2FAS. With all respect, I don’t feel safe to put my money in Scalable Capital anymore after two years good experience of using it, will gradually transfer all me and my family’s portfolio out of it.
This is my personal experience, do you own research.

Too complicated to use, hidden fees!
I think most of the features even basic ones like withdrawal or sending money our set up in such a way that it is very complicated! I even sent in one point in time 2000€ to earn interest through your program only to find out i need to pay 20€ of fees for the transaction! Like wtf, i withdrew the money right away this is horrendous!
This is not fair!
But one her features of this app are complicated to… i feel like TR is a much better app to use thats why i use it daily!
I would like to hear some feedback on that money you charged me with (20€ mentioned above)

Impossible to login, full of errors
Its been so many days, I cant login anymore. Reinstalledthe app, now its asking me to setup 2 factor authentication again. But while setting up 2 factor authentication, it is not sending me OTP to my mobile number, so I cannot proceed. I raised this issue to customer care which is useless and waste. Customer care doesn't exist. Everybody stay away from this company. Now the only way to get back money is to sue this company. Never ever use this broker.

Failure to update personal information after 5 months
Update: it's now over a year since I requested the correction and this is still unresolved.
The Scalable Capital system still fails to comply with the very simple requirement of removing an incorrect and unwanted gender designation from a customer profile.
Additionally, I was told a couple of days ago that Baader Bank finally implemented the name change, only to then receive today email contradicting what I was previously told.
Original review: I legally updated my name and had gender information removed from the Melderegister 5 months ago. Despite promptly providing Scalable Capital with the official Standesamt certificate, they have failed to properly implement these changes.
My account still displays an incorrect gender designation and their partner Baader Bank has not updated my name at all.
Customer service seems unaware that foreign residents may not have immediately have access to updated IDs.
Their system appears incapable of removing gender information or offering options beyond "male" or "female" - which conflicts with anti-discrimination legislation.
For comparison, Commerzbank updated my information promptly and without issue when provided with the same documentation.
As a financial institution operating in Germany, Scalable Capital should understand that the Standesamt certificate is the definitive legal document for personal information.
Their failure to implement these changes after 5 months of communication is unacceptable and shows a concerning lack of understanding of both customer needs and legal requirements.

Unacceptable three-month delay — stay away from Scalable Capital!
I had a terrible experience with Scalable Capital. I requested a withdrawal, and after almost three months, the transaction is still pending! Despite multiple emails and reassurances from their service team that the issue had been "resolved," nothing has changed.
This is absolutely unacceptable for a financial service provider. Such a delay shows a complete lack of professionalism, accountability, and respect for their clients' money.
If you value transparency, reliability, and timely access to your own funds, I highly advise you to stay far away from Scalable Capital.
I will certainly not be trusting them again.

Investing without my concent
Don't ever invest with them. They opened a new portfolio for me for 20k € and tried to withdraw this amount from my bank account without my consent but luckily i didn't have this amount so the bank reverted it. Then I tried to close the portfolio but they charged me - 237€ and they are asking me to pay this amount. I tried to contact them many times several emails and calls and explain they hang up on me or they don't reply or they reply with a generic reply that I am the one who did this even though me explaining 100 times I didn't invest 20k and didn't try to open a new portfolio, so now I stopped my original plan with them and dont want to invest with my monthly plan . Anyway try to avoid it if you want a reputable investment company that has a good customer service.

Cannot login to buy the dip
On a regular basis, I cannot login and buy stock when the dip was perfect to act fast. 5G, WLAN whatever - I had 100% reception. I left because it is just disappointing.
