I have no idea how they got by debit card information, but I was charged $50 for no reason without my knowledge. Looking back, they sent one cryptic email that mentioned the trial at the end. I would not have engaged with this sketchy company if I'd known they'd take my money like this. Especially deceptive for them to charge quarterly for an allegedly "$15/mo" service.

EDIT: They did refund my money, only after trying to low-ball me with a 50% refund.

I really love the simplicity of ScholarshipOwl. One thing I disliked is how slow it seems to recieve the scholarship money. I was extremely surprised when I heard that I won scholarship money. I still went through the extra steps after being notified that I have won. But still gave not receievd any money.

They claim that everyone "wins" a scholarship after 27 applications and it's all bullS*IT!! My son has submitted over 75 applications and been awarded NOTHING!! It's a SCAM!!

ScholarshipOwl is very helpful! It is super easy to use and I love the different ways you can sort through opportunities. One thing I’ve noticed is sometimes I’ll get several “matches” in a row that do not apply to me, but that I would rather have too many opportunities than not enough.

Applying for scholarships through ScholarshipOwl coulnd't be easier! I read somewhere that you have to apply to something like 50 scholarships before you win one, but I probably only applied to a dozen, at most, before I got one. Hardest part about it was making a reaction video when I won.

I have to admit, I was skeptical at first, thinking that this was just another scholarship aggregate that wasn't worth my time, let alone the subscription fee. But after having been awarded a $1,000 scholarship, this is legit!

Scholarship Owl has made applying easy and I actually received $1,000 so far!

We applied to several scholarships through this platform and did not receive a single award.

I would strongly encourage parents of high achieving students to focus on institutional, departmental, or field-specific scholarships rather than paying for this service. I would not purchase the subscription again.
