Great Service

My experience with scoop has been great so far! As soon as I put in my info for the insurance I was looking for, I was called within minutes and was helped by a very friendly and patient real person! They helped me find my best rate and helped me set it all up. There was a few mishaps but that’s why it’s important to always check over your information:)

Avoid Scoop Like the Plague

This is for Scoop and Pembridge Insurance. They made a clerical error when entering my bank account, then when my payment didn't come through they, immediately cancelled my policy. On top of that, they charged me a fee for their mistake. They screw up repeatedly uploading wrong documents and also mystery charges and more money withdrawn. If you go with them watch your bank account closely. Horrible service that steals your cash.

Mike is extremely patient and knowledgeable during my policy setup as well as another policy's renewal. He explained to me all details and reasons for the right insurance setup - not the cheaper ones. Trade off always the protection I want and correct info I made. I am paying more but get much better peace of mind and the right protection needed.
I saw some people complaint about prices changing here, and they don't understand when they sign up insurance company will review their profile and decide the premiums, not brokers and if something wrong or not disclosed the rate will changed no surprised.

I got auto insurance for my pickup truck which is a ford f150 XLT however was mistakenly insured for a lariat. After some troubleshooting scoop determined that their system made a mistake and I was reimbursed promptly for the over payments that I had been paying. I would like to thank all those involved in rectifying the mistake promptly. Also scoop is still the cheapest insurance that I have found.

Great Customer Service… Questionable advice

Everything has been great but they once gave me bad advice. I was moving provinces and the agent suggested I cancel the old Ontario policy renewal (which happened to be renewing as I was moving) and not obtain/set-up a new policy in Alberta until my car arrived. When I called back to insure my vehicle in Alberta the agent told me the price I was quoted increased because I’ve had a gap in insurance

I do not care for your web site and the numerous emails stating that their are documents for me to see when in fact there are not. They are uptdated emails for previous policies and not the upcoming one. I also am unable to download the policies but when I call the office will remit them to me by email.

Insurance Brokerage negative experience.

I logged into my bank account on May 26 to find out about an increase in my insurance rates. When I called them to find out why I had not been notified in advance their response, a prior broker TA stated that the notification was sent out on May 12. The ONLY confirmation that the manager who I escalated the matter (KF) states the system shows an activity. Now mind you the same manager KF blamed their own IT system for not updating the VM. We all know the IT blame and where reality sits in my opinion. Zero help is what I got. Call the insurer directly, I was able to secure a much lower rate. I will never go through another broker again and if Scoop Insurance Brokers were the only ones who had absolute domination to issue policies - then I will sell the car just to not deal with them. Record your calls and notify them of the call being recorded to protect yourself.

Great help with set of policy and making sure I had all my questions answered. Price was amazing compared to what I had been paying previously.

I was extremely frustrated with Scoop…

I was extremely frustrated with Scoop Insurance. Yesterday late afternoon I had a flat tire. I called the ph# provided. I was waiting 15 minutes for someone to answer and the call was dropped. Called back again on hold for approximately 15 mins. Had to discontinue call as service worker at Toyota was driving me home.
I called Scoop this morning and spoke with an employee. He stated we do not offer CAA assistance. You get a discount on your insurance if you are a CAA member. No roadside help. It’s noted on my insurance slip on the upper left corner CAA. I explained this is very confusing and not explained to me when I signed up. If I had known I would have called CAA directly.
Please improve your communication.

I was a client of Scoop Insurance for 5…

I was a client of Scoop Insurance for 5 years and this is the 2nd year in a row that the customer service reps have treated me disrespectfully and in a threatening way. They took my inquiries and questions and twisted them to focus on the negative, and continued to call me and harass me after I had clearly communicated and received the information required for my insurance. Other reps were friendly and provided the information needed, but at times, I was disrespected, and the reps did not accurately update my file. The way the rep handled my needs as a client made it more difficult than it needed to be.

Renewing policy

Renewing policy, or any other questions etc is so super easy. I am busy and don't have time for calls etc, and Scoop always emails me, and responds right away. My kind of customer service!
