Very easy to add funds and withdraw funds. You always know how much more you can add to your ISA. The only gripes I have are the changes they made so we can’t compare performance using graphs, and I... See more

Myself and my wife had 2 endowment policy's with this company and in both instances when the policy's had matured it became ridiculously difficult and time consuming for our money to be payed into our Bank accounts. The reason for this was the incompetence of the Senior Partners or Management to sign of on our policys. They showed a complete lack of professionalism in their job and left the people in customer service to try and appease me with my concerns. If it wasn't for the understanding and appity of these front line people this company would be in a sorry state. My thanks to Karen and Fraser but especially to BROGAN. This girl went over and above to assist me with my issues and I will be eternally grateful to her. So Senior Partners learn from your front line staff on how to be Professional.

As executor to a deceased persons estate I unfortunately had to deal with Scottish Friendly. Never in my 50 years in business have I come across such a shambolic operation. Mistake after mistake, delay after delay it went on and on. When I lodged a complaint against one call handler who couldn't understand the most basic question became rude and refused to let me speak to anyone else I was told the recording of the conversation would be reviewed by a manager and that I would be contacted. I never heard a thing after that. If anyone ever requests that I deal with Scottish Friendly on their behalf again I will say no. This platform ought to offer no star ratings as that would be my opinion and from looking at other reviews many other people would do the same. A truly horrendous experience.

Update: Scottish Friendly are trying really hard to get my review removed. Such a dodgy practice. People need to be aware of bad service when investing their money.
Closed my account. No email confirming closure. The accounts on the online portal are all gone and apparently so is all my money.
It would be great if they communicated, answered emails sent to customer service or just sent an email to confirm closure and what is happening with my money.
Right now I feel robbed.
Their bot response is a joke. I have sent an email. I've sent three. Zero response. How about your actually deal with your customer properly.
Terrible company. I will never put a penny near you again.

All the charges makes this a money losing ISA. I have several ISAs with different providers and this is the only one going backwards.
Also beware, I created a pot within my ISA that had £100 in. I decided to close the pot and the £100 has disappeared. It's not been added back to my main ISA and there is just zero trace of it. It doesn't help that the app provides such limited data. It is incredibly user unfriendly.
There is a monthly "management" charge and in over two years I've never received any interest or bonus payments. I have less money than I put in and they keep charging. Lol what a rip off.
Also be aware if you try to close your ISA and withdraw your money they charge you at least £50 for the pleasure.
So dodgy I wish I never opened an account with Scottish Friendly.
Avoid is my advice. There are many better options.

The site is easy to fill, but unreliable. The house address comes automatically but is shortened, try and correct it and the back cursor does not move easily. When all is done the web page says, 'Sorry, this page is not working, phone....'. When I phone they cannot see/fix the problem, I have to take a photo and send by email. Somehow this is an old fashioned company with an old fashioned IT department, run by above 80's....the BOD should use the process and see how cranky the pages are

Love the ‘pots’ for saving for various projects or plans. Makes it very personal and helps savings plans.

I've been talking to Scottish friendly via letter and then email for 7 months. I have received 3 different complaint references. I sent the original signed paperwork to them, only to then hear nothing. When chased they advised they had received the paperwork and had responded by post but sent it to the wrong address. When chasing them again I was told they needed the sort code and account number of the account this was to be paid into. I supplied a photo of these details from the Nationwide book of the person named in the bond. I was then told it needed to be on proper paperwork with address details confirming the account holder. Four attempts to get this from Nationwide was then rejected as i was told it needed to be a bank account. The person is 12. I have now been told they haven't a track of the original paperwork and asked I sign another form.
Incompetence.. the other reviews on Trustpilot show this isn't an isolated incident

Stay away from this company at all costs. They will give you a new bunch of BS every time you phone them. I have had the unlucky situation of having to deal with them for 2 months now and that was to just remove funds from my account. Generally they should be closed down

Started Money Builder programme exactly 10 years ago.
Financial adviser said after 10 years there should be some growth.
Either product is poor, or fees high or both !
Not only that there is no growth, the surrender value was up to £1300 less than what 4 staff quoted.
Raised internal complaint. I can already guess what the outcome will be... :(
I wish I could give 0 stars.

I called the customer service to help me with some challenges I faced while setting up my application. I was thrilled at the patient and the attention given to me.
