Collected fine, I just find it a joke how they take your car and make you wait upto 24hours for payment. In reality you can’t take any goods with out a payment. Why are these guys any different

Complete waste of your time if your brave enough to try them.
I certainly wouldn't try them in Scotland as they told me they only have one driver for the whole country.
I'm 3 days in and still can't get a collection date with multiple attempts at contacting the company.
Don't expect the call they say you'll get in 3/4 hrs from the driver it doesn't happen if he can't be bothered.
I've sat around for 3 days and neither the driver or company is willing to even give an estimate for collection date.

Nothing to complain.
Car collected in couple of days, money received.

useless ! registered saturday. 4 hour reply time. got a call one wednesday .. 'did you get a call from our driver ' .... no, just a load of random calls (normal for my phone) and no voicemails. one might of been the driver, who knows. so, you call 3 days later, don't arrange a pickup, leave it to driver who can't be bothered to leave a voicemail and arrange collection. you think i jsut take a week off work and sit by the phone waiting for you to call ? if the person who called me to 'check up' on the driver couldnt make the arrangement, you migth as well scrap your whole business. i'll find someone else.

i suppose the 4.82 stars was the red flag. more interested in your reputatino than actually donig the job. i'll find a local scrap dealer that dont have a fancy website. like the good ol' days.

Searched around for the best price and these were willing to pay most by quite some margin. Had a 2012 Clio and couldn’t be bothered wi hassle on selling it so this came out to be easiest and quickest. To be honest was a little sceptical at first as I hadn’t received a response in the first few hours as it says but I did accept the quote on a Saturday early afternoon ish. Anyhow as of Monday (today) got a phone call from them asking if I was available right at that second, luckily I was. Cause mi estates quite tight we agreed to meet up at a car park and soon as I got there we had a quick chat he get her loaded up took a few details and we’re off, this was around 1-1:30 ish. Just received mi payment at 8pm (same day) the exact amount I was quoted. Looking at some of the other reviews I thought I was screwed but everything’s been done perfectly. Recommend using these and will use them in future 👍

I found Scrap My Car online and filled in all the details they asked for. Initially, I was expecting a call within a few business hours as stated on the website, but I didn’t receive one. It later turned out that my phone number may have been entered incorrectly, so this was likely the reason for the delay rather than their fault.

Once I managed to get in touch, everything went smoothly. I spoke to Mike, who came to collect my car. The car had been standing in a garden for at least three years, but he managed to get it started in no time and loaded it up without any issues. He was professional, friendly, and very efficient throughout. He took a photo of my driving licence and bank details, and I received the money the same day — less than 12 hours after the car was collected.

What really stood out was the price. Scrap My Car offered me more than twice the amount my local scrapyard quoted, which made a huge difference. Overall, despite a slightly shaky start, the service was excellent, straightforward, and hassle-free. I would definitely recommend Scrap My Car to anyone looking to scrap their vehicle.

I must admit that I was a bit dubious when I read some reviews but I can honestly say that we had no problems. It was such a quick process .I got a quote on line on the Sunday. Cars were collected on the Wednesday and payment received the same day. Brilliant. Friendly staff who made the process run so smoothly. Highly recommended. Thank you Scrap my car online 🥰

Unprofessional is not the word. I said yes to the quote given and no contract back. After I emailed I then got a call saying it would be the following week for them to pick it up. And the payment would be sorted after they got it back to their yard the following day.
Sorry but if you’re buying from me you can pick it up and pay at the same time. No way was I going to sign it over as scrap and change the logbook with no payment.

Just been on the phone to these and please people read the T&C on the page. Apart from them being rude they have a part where they can take your car for say £200 but then when they get it back to their yard yard they see a bit of plastic missing. This is then not a complaint car! They will change the quote to say £100 and if you don’t like it then it’s up to you to go get the car. There are some reviews saying this and not the fake ones on their site.

It s the second time i use their services. I ve made a booking Monday night to scrap my car, Tuesday morning they call me and arranged the collection,(also they called me from office to make sure that the driver made arrangement to collect my car), Tuesday afternoon they picked up the car, Tuesday night i got the money in my account! What can you wish more? :) Good job guys!

Arranged to scrap my car through this company. On day of delivery, I was contacted by the driver who told they would need to take a photo of My drivers license or passport. I was not happy about this as they would have my bank details along with my car and I would have to trust the payment would be sent within 24hours. When I questioned this requirement, the driver was very rude saying this was how it was done and he had better thi as to do than go over this with me. I contacted another company who doesn't require my ID so went with them instead. V5 is enough. Office did call and apologise but would not recommend.

Don't believe what you read or hear same-day payout doesn't seem to exist still waiting car collection b4 3pm paid same day NO!!!

Best price I could find. Filled in on-line on Sunday night, got a call Monday morning to arrange collection.
Got a call on the morning to say he was on his way. Picked up on a transporter by a friendly guy, Mike. Money in the bank by close of play the same day.

Went online and got a quote, received an email asking for photos, sent them, the guy Alistair then asked if we had other quotes, I replied saying that his was the first one we contacted after several text messages between us, he said he would call to arrange collection we said fine, never heard from them again, on the plus side, contacted another company (Redcorn), who quoted over £100 more, they came the next day and collected the car and the money as in the account 24hr later as promised. (This is normal practice now as by law they are not allowed to pay cash and have to confirm you are the legal owner, to the people who complain about the 24hr wait)

Advertises that they make "instant payments" for your car.
Bloke came and took my car and ripped the front bumper off whilst loading it up.

I rang the company and asked when my payment will go through for scrapping my car.
"24 hours" came the reply

I then said you advertise instant payments on your website though? which I was told "that's not how it works.

So I asked if I could come and buy one of their cars and take it away but not pay for 24 hours?

Same reply "that's not how it works Sir"

Then why are you advertising instant payments?

They Put the phone down.

I'm now going to go and recover my car from their yard as the logbook hasn't been transferred and they've caused a lot of damage to my car.

Ridiculous behaviour and clearly false advertising on the website.

I wouldn't have used them if the payment was going to take 24 hours

In the website said that they would colectbin the same day so a bit after 9am i dis a quote and it was said that they would call me in 3 or 4 hours. After 3 hours i called them to find oit when they will colect the car. They said that i was asigned to a driver and that drivr would call me with a date and hour to colect. So first it was on the same day and then they would call to decide the dayband hour. I imediatly called oit the service . Bunch of liars
