Seamless service, quote easy to do online, called to book and collect. Super fast payment. Couldn’t ask for a better service
Really easy company to deal with. Did a quote online, they rang to book it in, collected my car when they said they would and payment was in my bank before the driver had left.
Would definitely recommend!!
Recently got a quote from this company for more than double what the majority of other online scrap companies were giving, I, at first, thought it was too good to be true, but I spoke with someone over the phone to be sure it was right, which she confirmed, and she arranged to collect our vehicle within 2 days and within minutes of collection, the full amount quoted was paid into my account, all perfectly sound! All staff who we interacted with were fantastic, would definitely recommend!
You get your quote online and then they try to reduce it when you call to get the car booked in for collection. Then they decide they can’t collect from Edinburgh even though the site still claims that they collect from anywhere in the Uk, if you call to speak to them they hang up the phone.
I’ve copied off their website and have sent it to the trading standards for Scotland as they are advertising a service they refuse to undertake.
I would not recommend using this company, very rude sales assistants.
Everything went smoothly. I called in the morning for someone to pick up my car, and in the afternoon, a nice gentleman came to collect it. The next day, I received the money. Highly recommend!
I accepted scrap quote from Megavaux using their website (which just asked for reg and postcode), then staff member called asking for photos and further info on condition to confirm the price. I told her the website clearly states "Scrap quotes are based on weight and not condition & our quotes are guaranteed" and she still tried to say she needed info on condition etc before agreeing on price. Only agreed to honour the price when a supervisor stepped in, after hearing my objections. Manager called me today to still defend their stance. He said they try to make their process easy, by not asking loads of questions before giving price. I had to point out that they DO ask loads of questions/photos, but unlike other companies, who ask before giving price, they do it AFTER offering you the 'guarenteed' quote!
This service is amazing. Got the quote (which was very good) online on Tuesday and the car was picked up by Megavaux 3pm Wednesday. The money was transferred and in my account instantly. Everyone was friendly, efficient and super polite. If there was a way to give more than 5 stars, I would. Very highly recommend.
Scrapped my car with Megavaux. Their quote was competitive and double what the big local scrap yard quoted me. I accepted the quote online over the weekend and got a call from them on Monday as promised to arrange collection. The car was collected at the appointed time and the money hit my bank account 20 minutes later. I got text and email confirmation of the scrappage details and a certificate a couple of days later. Hard to imagine how they could have been any more efficient or professional - totally recommended.
Nervous about scrapping my car, got an offer higher than anywhere else from these guys (quite a bit higher in some cases) which made me more nervous. I shouldnt have been though. I accepted and had a call with Megavaux in Nottingham, who collected within days. Paid me the offer amount, talked me through the process, really easy. Collection driver was brilliant, really kind and great guidance. Whole process was a breeze.
Been unfortunate enough to have to scrap a few nails over the years, getting shot of our latest sh@t box with this service was a doddle.
Was dubious when they offered to pay a chunk more than anyone else online, but issue you with a prepaid credit card loaded with the quoted amount, but I'm 10 mins away from Megavqux and they have a great reputation locally. Got a call from a gent early Monday, promised they'd collect Tuesday morning and true to their word, the driver gave me a bell when he was on his way over. Their driver was the politest bloke I've met in a while and a credit to Megavaux.
A two minute phone call to an automated service activated the card and you are issued a PIN. Popped it into an ATM this afto and withdrew the funds without any problems. Just means the drivers aren't tooling around with piles of cash in the cabs. Makes sense.
Can't fault Megavaux. Highly recommended.
I wanted to scrap my vehicle as it was costing me a fortune and the latest thing to be fixed would cost at least double of what the car was worth, which I wasn't prepare to repair. Doing my research, I found that the prices of doing this online are quite competitive and seem to be better value than physically taking it to a local ATF. I found one that had bad reviews for messing customers about so I opted for the one providing me a quote for £17 less, although I could not find a single review online (here is me creating the first!). Once accepting the online quote, I was immediately emailed the very second I submitted the application and was told that a company called MegaVaux would be in touch within 4 hours but if I wanted a more urgent response, I could call or email them. I looked up this company and found that they only worked weekdays and as it was a Sunday, I waited until the Monday to hear from them.
It was late afternoon on the Monday and as I hadn't heard anything from MegaVaux, I decided to give them a call. I said that I had been waiting for a call and was told "You and thousands of others darlin'. We're really busy." I ignored this and gave him my registration number to check. When he found my details, his immediate response was, "Oh s**t, you're over near Coventry, aren't you darlin'? We're in Northampton. We don't collect from there. I'm really sorry." As there was an apology, I ignored the fact that he had swore over the phone - great customer service skills - and ended the call. Northampton is about an hour away from where I live but I presumed that as the service allocated this dealer to me immediately, it must have been okay.
I then proceeded to call the number on the website for ScrapYourCarOnline and immediately heard the introductory message on the line say, "Welcome to MegaVaux..." So it seems that MegaVaux actually own this service and all collections are done by them.
Fortunately, my time hasn't been wasted too much as nothing was actually arranged, but I am trying to get this sorted and it wasn't exactly a brilliant service. I am now contacting the company with a couple of bad reviews and perhaps hoping for better, otherwise, I will have to look at some of the companies offering less and see where I go from there.
