Misleading Pricing, typical bait advertising
I was booking a flight with all pricing details displayed. As soon as I went to pay through PayPal, the prices went up by $70. Received a message saying availability of the flight has changed and therefore the price went up. I never seen something like this before for online flight booking. Typical bait advertising to misled customer and take a few extra dollars when you are ready to make a final payment. Going to lodge a claim with fair trading.

They don’t even deserve 1 star but I can’t start my review without this.
Its totally a scam and if you call them regarding your issue they just play around by telling you that you need to contact their price guarantee team and when you reach out price guarantee they want you to contact customer support again.
While paying for your booking - their website declines your payment at first and then they change the price and mention the reason that the price is going up and your flight price is changed.
Then you think to pay it now otherwise if you start the whole booking again - you may be need to pay higher than the price that already changed now.
But when you do the second transaction with the changed price it goes smooth.
After paying when you go to their website to check if the price was actually changed or not then trust me you will be shocked by seeing that the price is still the same where you started your booking earlier.
Then doesn’t matter how many times you reach them out regarding your issue - you will be end up with declining your request with the reason that you accept the price and did the payment.
It was a very bad experience.
Suggesting everybody to do your bookings always with the airline directly.

I've wasted hours on the phone and webchat with MyTrip customer service on 3 occasions. They continue to say they owe me over €1000, but that Ethiad hasnt issued the refund for a cancelled flight- which I know to be untrue as confirmed by Ethiad. Total incompetence, lies and misleading messaging every time I call. At this point it amounts to intentionality and upon my solicitors advice I'm now submitting a small claims EU court proceeding to recoup my money and will be reporting their business practices to the CCPC. The worst company I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Avoid them like the plague.

Another two weeks without a response
Nobody at MyTrip takes the time to properly investigate claims. Today I was again told that the refund of the ticket has already taken place although i have pointed out 50+ times that I am referring to the MyTrip service fee. The refund of this fee was promised to me by Linda L in December which appears to be another straight out lie.
I have booked a flight with MyTrip which was cancelled in 2022. More than 4 years later, 10+ hours in the hotline and 250+ mails I am still struggling to receive the refund of the MyTrip service fee, which I was promised in writing on 18th December 2025 by Linda L. When will I finally get my money? When will somebody from your customer service will finally give me the call I was promised so often or was this just another lie?
You keep guiding me towards the official channels. As clearly outlined in my feedback, all of your customer service channels have incredibly poor response times. If at all, all of them mostly answer via standardized messages, not addressing my questions.
You keep claiming that you have answered my requests which is an outright lie. Why do you keep lying? As mentioned multiple times: If it was true, please simply provide the answers to my requests here.
When will I finally get a response? As clearly stated in my review, my outreaches via the official channels are simply ignored. I have been raising the issue for 4 years. How do you recommend to deal with such a fraudulent customer service? Please finally refund my money or answer the questions 1:1
- As rightly pointed out by your colleague Mayur, I haven’t received an appropriate service. When can I expect a refund of the MyTrip service fee?
- Lufthansa transferred the money to MyTrip on 13 October 2022. I was informed by Lufthansa regarding the payment and asked MyTrip where my money was. In January 2023, MyTrip asked Lufthansa for the refund, which MyTrip had already received. Why did the first follow-up by MyTrip take place after Lufthansa had already transferred the money to MyTrip?
- Only on 25 April 2024 and after around 50 emails did MyTrip transfer my money to me. Why is there 1.5 years between Lufthansa transferring the money to MyTrip and forwarding it to me? Customer Service denies this several times, even though I have written confirmation from both Lufthansa and MyTrip. Why does Customer Service repeatedly tell me untruths?
- MyTrip assures me several times that I am not entitled to more than €65. Why do you only claim €65 from Lufthansa, while I was able to obtain an additional €419.90?

This company is a complete FRAUD. They asked for one Euro for a check in check for a Flight which I booked with them and then they withdrew 79 Euros from my account without my knowledge. A normal, decent Company would not behave like this in life but they are only Complete Fraud. Stay away from this SCAMMERS.

If you are ready to buy tickets through this platform, be prepared to be cheated. You will never get your money back. They constantly lie about ticket availability, claiming seats are sold out when they aren't, just to manipulate prices. On top of that, they don't even follow their own cancellation and refund policies. It feels like this app is just a front for scamming and money laundering rather than a real service. Please, do yourself a favor and do not deal with them!
