On the southwest coast of England, almost completely surrounded by sea, our home in Cornwall is famous for its windswept cliffs, sandy beaches and rolling hills.
It's where we were founded in 1981, with a little family shop selling workwear and waterproof coats to fishermen and sailors, as well as local artists who chose practical aprons and hard-wearing smocks for long days in the studio.
From the very beginning, we've been passionate about crafting clothing that will be loved and worn for seasons to come, and we're proud of our considered approach. We focus on quality and longevity, using fabrics with organic, recycled and responsibly sourced fibres that are better for people and the environment.
Today, the story of Cornwall's wild landscape and artistic community is still woven through every garment. Each collection is carefully curated to inspire creative, confident dressing, with a range of timeless shapes, rich coastal colours and sizes to fit UK 6 - 28 as well as Petite and Tall.

Bad smelling lining in the dress
Had to wash the dress because it had a bad smell!! Followed the washing instructions. Was very difficult to iron. Just feel so disappointed with the dress.

Hi Christine-Thank you for your review, We’re sorry to hear that you’ve noted an unusual aroma on your Seasalt garment. All our garments are pre-washed in a washing detergent by the manufacturer prior to them being packed and despatched to us. These detergents can sometimes smell a little unusual and this can be exacerbated with the item being closely packed in our distribution centre, prior to it being despatched to you.
We’d suggest washing the garment following the instructions on the care label and you should then find that any unusual fragrance is removed.

Not like they were before
Website birthday treat offer override 2 for £40 offer making them more expensive. Customer service were useless and took 180+ hours to respond.
Leggings have changed, they use to be great now they are more a non stretch hard cotton material and sizing not as generous. Returned and bought elsewhere

The usual good quality fabric and finish, BUT the extra length compared with previous years makes the top boxy, baggy and unflattering. As the sleeves, too, were wide the shapeless effect was increased. I was really disappointed to return these two tops as I regard Seasalt as a ‘go-to’ normally.
