I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with my recent seats and sofa order has been beyond frustrating and disappointing. What was supposed to be a simple, exciting purchase has turned into an absolute nightmare.
First, the communication has been terrible. I was given vague updates (if any) and constantly had to chase for information. Every time I thought we were moving forward, there was another delay, excuse, or mistake. No one seemed to take real ownership of the issue, and I felt completely dismissed as a customer.
Second, the quality and accuracy of the order were a complete letdown. After waiting far longer than promised, what finally arrived was wrong and not what I had paid for. To add insult to injury, getting someone to actually address the problem and offer a real solution has been next to impossible.
I trusted this company with a major purchase for my home, and they’ve made it a stressful, upsetting experience from start to finish. It's clear that customer care and attention to detail are not their priorities.
I would strongly urge anyone considering ordering from here to think twice. I would never have gone through with this order if I had known how poorly everything would be handled. I expected better — and frankly, I deserved better.

Fantastic service and selection.
We visited the seat and sofa location in Zandaam with a lot of ideas for our new sofa. The team in the shop was patient, friendly and helpful.
They offered us tea and coffee during our long time spent there.
From the beginning until we finalised our sofa we got support from them. They helped us double checking the measurements and showed us a lot of nice fabrics from their huge selection. They even showed us around to shop to show us our favourite fabrics on the sofas available to get a better feeling how it will feel on the sofa.
We left the shop with a new sofa and we are now waiting for the delivery. We are really excited once we can place it in our home.

This company is a SCAM! I should have read the reviews before...
I bought a sofa at their shop on Jan 11. They told me that the delivery would have taken approx. 6 weeks, which could have been extended up to 12 weeks in the worst case scenario. So I accepted the agreement and paid a deposit of 1700€.
On Jan 30, I received an email from them with a document attached that they wanted me to sign, which stated that the sofa would have been delivered in 11-17 weeks, with a possible extension up to 29 weeks in the worst case scenario. This is completely different from what I was told at the shop while booking the sofa!!
So my partner called the shop to cancel the order and get a refund of the deposit, but the agent told us that we should have paid 30% of the total amount as a cancelation fee. We tried to explain that this was totally unfair, since they were the ones who broke the agreement but she kept on repeating the same without providing any solutions and finally she just hanged up and cut the conversation.
Last week I received a call from them and another lady wanted to convince me to accept the "new agreement" with 11-17 week delivery but I told her that I didn't want the sofa anymore and they should have sent a full refund. She told me that she would have talked to HQ but since then no updates anymore.
Please be aware that we're trying to solve the issue with our lawyer, who advised that what you do is just illegal and you have a lot of reports pending because of this problem! Expect a letter from our lawyer in a couple of days!
People, please DON'T TRUST THIS COMPANY just because they have a wide choice of sofas, and don't make the same error we did! Just go and buy your items somewhere else!

Everything went wrong with our purchase. Visiting the showroom was extremely unpleasant, as the staff were highly unprofessional. They swore at each other,and no one seemed willing to do their job. The agreed-upon pickup date was not respected, and we were called multiple times to pick up the purchase earlier than planned. Unfortunately, the product itself was a disappointment. The couch started squeaking within the first month, and it was supposed to come with two storage boxes but arrived without them. When we contacted customer service, we were shocked by their bitter and nasty attitude handling the complaint. Be cautious, and don't ignore the red flags as we did

We went to the store in Zaandam to purchase a specific couch. It wasn't available so we settled on another option that could be delivered in 6-8 weeks. We asked several questions about the sales process, cancellations policies, etc. everything checked out. We realize now that this business just tells you what you want to hear.
1. Delivery is actually 10-14 weeks. This put the time frame when I'm due to give birth, something we did NOT want to have to deal with.
2. We were told the couch was on sale. I never got an itemized receipt, so I called the store back. I found out that the same couch is being sold with the same discount, except this time they told me the sale price for the couch would be 2600. We paid over 3200 for it IN FULL and were told that the discounted price ended that day.
3. I told them I would rather cancel the order or they could refund me the difference. The employee now claims that they cannot look up the price of the couch on the day of sale and they cannot provide itemized receipts. So there's no way to prove what, if any discount I received.
4. I was also told that I cannot cancel the order because the minute I paid, I was subjected to a 30% cancellation fee. There was 4 store employees at the front counter when I asked about cancellation fees BEFORE I PAID, and not one of them said this to me when I made the purchase. Only after I asked to cancel on the phone was I told that the policy was written on the printed receipt. Well it was written in Dutch which they know damn well I didn't speak/read/write yet.
They clearly took advantage of my ignorance by having us pay for the couch in full instead of just a deposit. They intended to defraud us from the very beginning.
I will continue to contact the store until I get my money back in full. This is a terrible way to treat your customers and this kind of predatory behavior is unacceptable.

Writing my review AGAIN, after they told me to contact whatsapp on my previous review.
I contacted them by whatsapp, as I did before they told me, and I got an answer that the staff would contact me. In total, I have 4 messages saying that the staff would contact me, and I received 0 contacts. I spoke with Jessica on whatsapp, explained the situation, she told me to fill a form on the website. The form only accept photos, not videos. So I took a screenshot of the video that I made when we picked up the damaged couch. I wrote it down saying that I have videos to prove that the couch was damaged in from of their store, so they cannot say it was a transportation damage. After 1 week, I received a very rude email from a no-reply@seatsandsofa email saying that I probably cannot prove that it was a mistake from their side so they friendly shared a company that could "fix" the couch and of course with my own money.
I cannot reply to this email with the video proving that the couch was delivered like that. I cannot fill in the form I did before because they only accept photos there. That's how shitty this company is, everything is complicated so you won't spend time to fix an issue they don't give a shit clearly.
Please don't tell me to contact whatsapp. You have my phone so if you want to fix this issue, is your turn. Otherwise I will continue writing this lovely story here :)

Following my review Mixed Feelings, Low Customer Care I got an answer.
As recommended by Seats and Sofas' team I contacted their customer service.. Same answer: "I sent a reminder to the employees. They will call you as soon as possible."
This sounds more and more like a bad joke.. Apparently the team answering here is using a generic answer and a WhatsApp number doing the same..
Hopefully one day I will receive my missing part.
You can avoid this with any relevant sofa retailer..

Worst customer service ever. Never buy from these frauds.
They take your money and never deliver!
I bought a sofa from the stock on 14th August 2024 at Zaandam and agreed to deliver on 27th September because I was moving to a new home.
on 27th Sep when the delivery company went for the pickup, they conveniently said it's not available. How is it possible? I ordered it from stock. Did you sell my sofa to someone else?
Then they asked me to pick it up from a different branch which adds additional €250 for delivery and I refused.
After this Zaandam branch did not answer my calls. So convenient for them. such losers. Don't know how to take responsibility for their mistakes and expect customers to pay for their mistakes.
Then I had to contact general customer care through whatsapp.
The only response you mostly get is "branch will call you soon" but they never did.
After 2 weeks of going back and forth, I received an email saying my sofa is ready to be picked up from Zaandam branch.
I sent the delivery company for the second time and guess what.
They said it's not available, AGAIN!
what the hell!
Now I have requested for a refund and I didn't hear anything for days.
I'm gonna take legal action if I don't get my money back before 16th Oct.

Even a one star rating is not worth for such a fraud store with a fraudster manager in seats and sofas zandaam.
Pathetic experience till now and even a one star rating is undeserving for this shop.
Let me share my experience
I ordered for dubai couch and chair early July 2024 which was supposed to get delivered on 17th september as per the mail sent by Seats and sofas. For 17th i had to book the delivery myself for picking up couch and chair but seats and sofas jus had send the chair and the couch went missing . The delivery vendor(Joeys) also suggested by seats and sofas states that the shop has not given the couch. So, my entire delivery charge goes to waste and i didnt received my couch i ordered.
After calling the store for almost 20-25 times they come up with excuses such as :
1) not sure where the couch is
2) maybe its in the warehouse
3) maybe not in the store
4) one state he doesnt even know and doesnt want to take the responsibility as well. As if its now my responsibility to look for the couch by myself.
After repeated calling i still haven't received my couch and the only vague assurance they give is they looking for it . i dont know where this is heading to. my order number is Seats and Sofas bestelling 99208600 (Seats and Sofas order 99208600).
The worst experience i ever had and still going through with the after sale service of seats and sofas. i believe they should take this into account or else they will lose valuable customers . Try being transparent while doing business . This is not right at all where a person spend a lot from his savings to buy something and then doesnt get it even after full payment done long back.
Now when i go to the store the manager of the store misbehaved with a low level attitude showing towards the customer showing no respect at all. This store is a fraud stealing money by showcasing scammed dealings throughout.

Purchase itself was good. But after-sales service is really bad. I can't reach out to Zaandam store by phone, because every time conversation is interrupted at the very beginning.
Finally I got a confirmation that sofa is ready to be picked up. However, when Joey's Transport employee comes, it turned out that my sofa is at the Alkmaar store.
Now I'm trying to reschedule delivery, but I can reach out Zaandam store again because employees just hangs up.
I have no idea how I can schedule delivery of my paid order without visiting the store.
