The sofa came within the time frame…

The sofa came within the time frame indicated by the store. We picked up the sofa ourselves and the installation was easy. The sofa seems to be very sturdy and so far we are happy with it.

One of the worst experiences

We placed an order for a sofa named Boston a few months ago. We paid the advance money but decided to change the sofa type and color on the same day. The next day, we went back to the store to make a change (when the order had not yet been processed), and the salesperson treated us very rudely. He didn't listen to us at all. This was the first shock.

They didn't give us any electronic confirmation either!

We waited for our sofa for many weeks. Eventually, we got a call from the company and thought maybe the sofa was finally coming, but instead, they started asking for the order confirmation. This was the second shock.

After a few more months, the sofa finally arrived, but when we opened it, the color was wrong! We tried to call them and complain, but as soon as we mentioned the order being wrong, they hung up the phone immediately!

This was the worst experience for us. Please avoid this company at all costs and save your money.

I have called the Zaandam branch now 17…

I have called the Zaandam branch now 17 times today. Every time I get the phone put down in my ear without help.
All I want is my electronic confirmation of the sale./ I only have a manual handwritten one.
I am driving there and canceling my order. Dont need to work with this .

Think twice before buying a sofa from this company!



We bought the sofa from Seats and Sofa in Zaandam in May for almost 2000 euros and received it a week ago. The seat and sofa have a delivery partner - Joey's Transport. The sofa consists of two parts. The guy brought us a couch (one, and the couch is really heavy), and when he brought it, he realized that one part couldn't fit in the elevator, which is quite big in our apartment. He told us that we needed a special elevator to take that part up to the 3rd floor. This was the first surprise. I was in a bit of a panic because I don't know anything about elevators and where to find them. No one told us that this will be a problem. The guy said he had a friend who had a lift and could help. In the end we had to pay an extra 150 euros for the lift. We tasted the couch before people left and everything seems to be working fine. The next day we wanted to make a bed out of the sofa as it is a sleeping sofa and realized it no longer worked. One side of the structure was higher and we could only pull out half of the bed. We sent 2 complaints to Seats and Sofa: about the bad organization delivery of their partners and about the quality of the sofa. They told us to bring them a sofa for repair...seriously?? I thought it was a joke. We just told them how difficult and problematic it was to get it into the apartment, and now they have offered to bring it back for repairs and pick it up after (on our own costs)... We will find a way to repair it ourselfs...but we will never buy anything at this company again. This is a big disappointment. The service is zero.

One star is one star too much

One star is one star too much. Couch is too hard, getting immediate back pain from sitting on it. Couch should be comfortable, not feeling like sitting on the floor. Fabric in corner is loose, does not look nice. When calling with the store, we have been told that we need to arrange transport on our own costs to the store to repair the couch. This whole couch was delivered with discrepancies by seats and sofas. Really not happy, would never buy and recommend to buy here! Pls be aware.

Scammers. They lie over the phone as well as the manager in store

Scammers. They take your money, and there is ZERO customer service. Just lies over the telephone and in store - even their manager lies to your face.

A continuous odyssey with this company. Bought a couch from them in October 2023. It arrived broken in February and had to be returned (at my own cost) back to be fixed. That was back in February 2024.
It has now been 9 months. They still have not fixed it, everybody I speak makes up different lies and stories, nobody wants to help (as I've already fully paid). So their intention is for me to have paid for a new sofa at full price, and receive a broken one that's been fixed, even though I've never even sat on it and still waiting for it 9 months later.

On top of everything, they agreed to give us a refund which I've been asking for, for the past month. I even went to their store to speak to their manager, who initially refused to talk to me - I no longer want their sofa, I don't want to have to deal with seats and sofas ever again - but they are full of lies once again. They told me they would process the refund in 10-14 days. I call for an update, and they tell me they are not refunding me. That I have to wait for the couch to be fixed. I have an empty lounge without a sofa for the past 9 months.

I can't believe in store, the manager told me "Trust me, I'm the manger, we will contact you on Monday to deliver your sofa". 3 weeks later now, no call, no sofa.

Do not deal with this company, ever. They will be your worst regret you've ever made.

Just avoid this company guys.

For a similar price, you can get okay... a smaller couch, but incompararbly a better quality one.

I foolishy accepted a deal which had no warranty for the couch (it was cheaper, but still around 2.5k) cause I thought... what can go wrong with a couch right?

Then, surprise after about 6 months the fabric stitches started breaking. For a few hundred bucks actually you can get a nice couch from Jysk for example.

Or most likely from any other company; just avoid this one. The quality is terrible, and their customer support is even worse.

New form of customer service: Someone is gonna call me someday

I bought a terminal couch from the Zaandam branch. It has been 10 weeks already, and they say they cannot determine the status; they tell me it will arrive when it arrives. I even doubt that it's being produced. No one can give me a date or status update. Just waiting for someone to call me some day is not an acceptable form of customer service.

The worst place to order your couch

The worst place to order your couch! If you want to risk waiting for several months - that’s the perfect store for you. We ordered the couch for our new house and were very specific that we would need it after moving as we don’t have any furniture. Very “friendly” staff promised that the couch would be ready in 4-6 weeks (that’s why it’s written in our receipt that delivery is possible after 24 March). After moving we called to check the readiness of our order and were told that now we have to wait 6-12 months. The staff is ready to lie looking straight into your eyes just to get your money.

UPDATE: costumer service is absolutely not helpful, the company clearly doesn’t care about their costumers. NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM!

The worst possible experience of buying…

My case was still not resolved, I haven't received money despite providing the order number and sending emails to Seat and Sofas Zaandam's email address no one reached out to me.

The worst possible experience of buying a couch.
The product I purchased was not at the store, when I arrived to pick it up, I had to waste 3 hours to pick it up from a different location. I have been assured that a discount for this inconvenience will be in my bank account, but it’s been already a month and I have not received it, the phones and emails are being ignored by the employees.
Very incompetent and rude, I will not make my purchase in this store ever again and I do not recommend this experience to anyone.

I'm extremely dissatisfied and…

I'm extremely dissatisfied and frustrated regarding my recent experience with Seats and Sofas. I placed an order for the BOSTON sofa in two colors – Soft Graphite and Soft Deep Ocean. However, after an agonizing wait of over two months, the sofa was delivered in only one color, Soft Graphite.

The Zandam outlet, where I made the purchase, has offered me two options to rectify the error:

1. A compensation of 400 euros
2. Waiting an additional 6-12 weeks for the correct sofa to be delivered

Unfortunately, neither of these options is acceptable. My family and I have recently moved to a new home, and we have already invited friends and colleagues for a housewarming ceremony. It is impractical for us to host guests without the essential furniture, especially the sofa, for an extended period.

Adding to my frustration, the customer service and the Zandam outlet manager has been unsatisfactory. Their demeanor was rude and uncooperative throughout our interactions. Furthermore, despite our attempts to resolve the issue, the manager, refused to engage in a phone conversation and insisted on a face-to-face meeting at the store.

Even now we are again waiting for 2 months and haven't heard anything from them. They didn't even call us back. Every time we call them and they make provide new story. They are just playing waiting waiting game, rather than helping us. We are really very upsate and dissatisfied.

This level of service is wholly unacceptable from a reputable company like Seats and Sofas. The inconvenience caused by the incorrect delivery and the subsequent lack of cooperation from your team has left me extremely dissatisfied. I expected a higher standard of service, especially given the significant investment I made in purchasing the BOSTON sofa.

I kindly request your immediate attention to this matter and a prompt resolution. Additionally, I urge you to review and address the conduct of your customer service representatives at the Zandam outlet to prevent such issues in the future. As a result of this experience, I am hesitant to recommend Seats and Sofas to any of my friends or colleagues.

right to withdraw

As a consumer I have the right to withdraw from my contract within 14 days starting from the date of delivery. Today my couch was delivered and I want to send it back, at the Zaandam store they are telling me that they will charge 50% of the price i paid for my couch. I paid 1500 and you guys are planning on keeping the half? That’s ridiculous! Is it even possible to do that?

3 month ago I bought a couch in Zaandam…

3 month ago I bought a couch in Zaandam and unfortunately I had to cancel 20 hours after booking. I went back in Zaandam where we spoke with the same people, and believe me they were very angry with us, totally other behavior! They didn't want to gave us our money back and kept it until now. It's not legal after 20 hours but they do it! I took a lawyer and he is still busy to get it back! Seats and Sofas are liars and thiefs. Please BE CAREFUL WITH TIS COMPANY!!

Friendly store

All the employees were very friendly and answered all the questions we asked. We weren't sure about buying a seat, we were just trying to get an idea, but Kevin somehow sold the seat. In the end, I can say that it was a result that both parties were happy with. Thanks

Undelivered Sofa since April 2023 (All the horror stories are true). Stay Away.

All the negative reviews on Google are true. I wish I listened to them. I bought my sofa in April (Order number 10639928) and is not yet been delivered. I got the email for collection but the transport company updated me that the sofa has a hole in the bottom. Seriously!!!! A hole in a brand new sofa and what's more funny is that the store manager asked me to take the sofa with defects since it's not a visible part. Mistakes happen right so I gave them time and it's been more than a month with no updates. They marked the sofa as delivered in their systems and are not being responsible, ignoring my calls and fake promises that they will call back. Finally, they raised a service request (6023) to fix it on 12th July 2023 but it's not yet delivered (as of 01 Oct 2023). Stay away from these scammers!!! They never deliver and charge a premium for nothing. Stay away from them.
