No response from Customer Services.

Opened an account online and tried to activate but lost my password, so I had to ring to reset it. Forget it. Took 15 minutes to get through to a human then after 5 minutes waiting to get to the reset team, I gave up. I will take my savings elsewhere. Pathetic service.

The bank at no longer cares

Since Yorkshire bank amalgamated with virgin money they have become the bank that no longer cares.
In March of this year money was taken out of my Yorkshire bank credit card by a hotel in Singapore. The advice from the fraud department was to ring the hotel, please pray tell me what is the job of the fraud department if you expect the customers to chase up potential fraud.
Secondly I recently applied for a bank loan and didn’t hear within the promised 48 hours so rang for a response to be told they needed more information, how are we supposed to know they needed more information as they haven’t made an effort to contact me I will never know. I gave them the information required and they promised to get back to me in 48 hours. Guess what no response, so I contacted them again and they wanted more information but of course they haven’t got round to asking for it. When I explained that I had managed to source funding from another financial institution but that would require me moving my accounts the attitude was I don’t care get on with it.

Updated their app and say it stops the app working on iPhone 5.

I've had problems getting to my account by internet banking for the last 2 weeks, the app accepts my code then goes blank and closes the app. I rang on the 15/9/20 and was told by an uninterested support person to re-install the app on my phone. Still having problems yesterday I rang and was told the latest Yorkshire bank update has made the app incompatible with my iPhone 5 and I should have been told this during my last call. They are going to change my logon mechanism so I can get access, not heard anything as yet and the app is still not letting me in and I cannot logon by pc without verifying on the app. Do they not realise how frustrating this is when I need to do some banking? There is lots of interest when they want your business but little customer care when there is a problem.

Change my mobile number

Yorkshire Bank are unable to change my mobile phone number. And have no idea when they will be able to change it.

With the new online payment checks started, and not having access to my old number, I am unable to make ANY online payments.

I can’t even access my account online, as it wants to send a code to my old number.

This can’t be right. More than unhelpful.

I should have read the reviews

I should have read the reviews 85% give Yorkshire Bank 1 Star they cant all be wrong. I switched from RBS some 8 weeks ago and am still waiting for Yorkshire Bank to open a currency and savings account. My Euro account is frozen with RBS as it is no longer linked to a current account, my only option is to move it to a new currency account with Yorkshire Bank and I am unable to issue any Euro invoices as I do not have bank account details for payments. If I could switch back I would do. HEED THE REVIEWS

If I could give -10 I would

If I could give -10 I would. Closed my accounts after 30 years of service with no explanation given. Manager of the Blackpool branch Andy Bleasdale is as much use as a chocolate fireguard. Moved all my business including my mortgage elsewhere. Avoid this bank, no wonder there's so many more popular banks than this

Absolutely 0 service

Absolutely 0 service. I have applied almost 3 months ago and it's almost difficult to get in touch with their on boarding team. No explanation whatsoever, can't do anything, the staff are useless, communication is shocking. Everytime they ask something they reply back after two weeks. I have been quite patient did inform them that I will cancel and will give you a bad review but they didn't budge. I will not recommend Yorkshire Bank at all. Just waste of time. Useless Management they don't care just making an excuse for covid 19.

Yorkshire Bank has processed BBL quickly and no hassle!!

This bank has a smooth, efficient and quick system to process the BBLS. Where businesses are suffering too much because of the errors and lengthy processes of banks in processing BBLS, Yorkshire Bank is the one can get SMEs out of difficulties they are facing in this crisis.

If I could leave 0 stars I would!

If I could leave 0 stars I would!! I have opened up a new account with Barclays because Yorkshire are shocking!! I am sick of money going missing out of my account all of the time £20s here and there! I screen shot my balance before bed every night and wake up and there’s £20 less!! That is not right I am absolutely disgusted and I will be putting in a complaint

Avoid avoid avoid

Avoid avoid avoid. Unfortunately I can't give 0 stars. account won't link to my Quickbooks accounts. app rubbish and constantly failing, locking me out, have to wait ages on phone and re set with new id 4 times . Online banking format hard to use and riddled with bugs. Do not use Yorkshire under any circumstances. I'm moving asap

After 35+ years of loyal custom this…

After 35+ years of loyal custom this may be time to leave. During that time I have had a number of loans, credit cards and my mortgage through them and yet they decided that I was too much of a risk to give a relatively small loan to settle my credit card bill. They would not even discuss the reason and were dismissive and downright rude to me on the phone. I signed up with Hitachi Finance who approved the loan within minutes (at a better rate than YB too) so it's a matter of slowly cutting my many links with them and departing to the Nationwide who seem very keen to take my business.

Decided to return to the Bury branch…

Decided to return to the Bury branch today and took my wife with me for back up.

I told the receptionist that we couldn't log on to Internet Banking and how long it would be before my cheque book arrived.

He told me that he couldn't help us to log on because it was a breach of human rights??? He also said he'd get back to me about the cheque book - so I'm still waiting.

Thanks to my wife I now have internet banking - but only on my mobile phone!

I wish I had read the reviews before…

I wish I had read the reviews before investing in a cash ISA.
My ISA matured 31st July, I sent in the form to transfer my funds to my bank account, they texted saying they received my form, and it would be actioned on the 3rd August.
No transfer!!!
Called today, on the phone for an hour, transferred from pillar to post.
They made a mistake, start again, attitude of the staff member, So what!!!
Do not invest or bank with this organization.

Honestly the worst online banking…

Honestly the worst online banking experience I've ever had! Money going up and down, payments disappearing then coming back days later. After the weekend payments all showing up on Monday and Tuesday instead of the correct days. Absolutely crazy from a main bank like YB, you'd think I was making it up!

I smart switched to another bank today because I honestly can't live with it any more.

The worse banking experience I've ever had, everything from A-Z is terrible.
online banking .. OMG they live 30 years behind, customer service, the worse you could face.
Just applied to switch to a (BANK) not to better bank.
