Great Selling experience

Having had to leave a negative review on my last selling transaction with World of Books i was pleased they picked up the review and paid me the monies owed. My most recent transaction went without any of the same issues and i got paid for all the books and DVD's sent. I had photographed them all and videod them going in the box just in case.

Not worth the time

First time but found it a difficult process building a list. Books kept changing between wanted and not wanted. 10 books in the box and checked before sending but apparently some wrong books, perhaps from an earlier list? Was paid a little over £3 for ten books, most nearly new. Will not be doing this again and consequently chose a different company for my most recent book purchase.

Hit and Miss

I find world of books useful for selling old discs and books. However, every time I do so they always claim that they haven't received at least one item. I usually counter this and provide photographic evidence, but this time I just couldn't be bothered.

1.Collection servives via DPD.
2. Slow, very slow processing and payment
Had to constantly email, but then have to wait 24-48hrs for a response.

All went wrong. Drivers.turned up on the stated day and time. But would say they didn't have space on their packed trucks which were messy amd really disorganised.amd rammed full. They said.'we'll come back later but didn't'. Another 24 hours later they turned up and didn't have then right information about the number of boxes. To make matters worse, the driver posted on his DPD report,.'items were not ready for.collection'. That was.a.blatent.lie.

Payment was really really slow.

One Trade was £59. Took 24.days.from collection to payment.

I ensured all my trade.boxes.were packed in very strong boxes and marked clearly with their trade ID numbers.

All in all, pretty disappointed.

The whole process was incredibly easy…

The whole process was incredibly easy to set up and arrange, with clear instructions and a smooth collection service that made dealing with such a large number of books feel completely stress-free.

As an avid reader, we have literally hundreds of books at home, and one of the things I appreciated most was knowing that the books would be reused and given a second life rather than ending up in landfill. It’s great to use a company that supports recycling and sustainability while also making it simple for customers to declutter responsibly.

Communication throughout was straightforward, and the overall experience felt efficient and well organised. I would definitely recommend the service to anyone looking to clear space while ensuring their books are handled in an environmentally conscious way.

My only suggestion for improvement would be offering an option to donate any books that don’t hold monetary value. It would be fantastic if those books could still be passed on, reused, or recycled through the company rather than potentially being discarded. Aside from that, it has been an excellent experience overall.

WOB are easy to deal with. An online scan, an arranged pick-up and we're off to the races. Seamless really. If I'm honest though, the books I sell don't warrant much of a cash return and by the time I source or buy a box and then buy some parcel tape the remuneration I receive is even less. Can WOB offer a service that helps with that aspect?
