Send Me a Christmas Tree Reviews 

We’ve had trees from SMACT for the last many years and have always had great trees which have lasted well. This years tree gave cause for concern when it wouldn’t take water after 2 days and then began to shed needles badly. The tree is now 12 days in our house and is - to all practical sense - DEAD. I’m fed up with hoovering up the mountain of needles which fall after even the slightest contact. I’ll be taking the matter up with the company and will update this review with their resolution. I fully appreciate that trees are living things and these things may happen from time to time. But we now have a tree which looks far worse than the one we normally recycle in the new year and have no centre piece in our house for the grandchildren at Christmas time - a real shame.
We are not serial complainers and I am not posting this to get cash back. It’s an honest review to help others.

We've used this company for three years and would not go back to searching for our ideal tree in person, and then trying to fit it into the car etc etc...!

Poor quality tree, expensive pricing for a substandard tree and packing ,and poor customer service. Do not want to write more and waste my time. RUINED MY CHRISTAMS . My tree died in less than 2 weeks and I have been told by the company I ordered it to early and asked provide numerous pictures and wasted my time on top of it . Why would you sell something which dies in a weeks time

It saddens me to write this as I have supported this company for a few years now, but after a disappointing tree last year (to which they did refund me for some of it with a % off this years one), and this years tree arriving with the bottom row all dead and brown, I am no longer going to use them. My tree has not made it to Xmas really. Half of it is now bare branches. The pine needles just fall off everywhere despite being in a cold room and watered everyday. I’ve had so many guests here and all of them have said how awful my tree looks. I can’t even be bothered to complain this year. You will not believe the volume of needles on my floor. Half the tree is now dead …. I am so disappointed. I thought these trees were from a local farm but having read the reviews it seems they’re not? I will be going back to Cowdray for my tree from next year. 2 years in a row is no coincidence and looking at the reviews below, I’m not the only one to complain. The positives are the tree smells amazing and the customer service has always been very good.

Get our Christmas tree second year in a row from there. We choose Farmer Tom fir 6ft which is amazing( very nice conical aperance and strong scent). Delivered on time and in top of that the delivery man bringed the tree at our door which is at second floor

2nd year buying here. Excellent quality tree again, lasts a long time, holds out for the whole month of December, excellent needle retention. Will definitely buy again next year!

Recently took delivery of 2 beautiful trees. A Fraser fir and a Sussex fir. Without a doubt the best trees I’ve had for many years. Delivery was as requested and when I needed to change my delivery date, Lucy was incredibly helpful. Won’t be getting my trees from anywhere else in the future.

Keep ordering every year and never been disappointed

No tree! Waited in all day, then DX updated the tracker to say they had left a card. There is no card, they didn't even come to the house. And now of course its gone 6pm and guess what - no one to talk to to sort the problem out. Appalling.

Beautiful tree, excellent shape and very fresh. Delivery by DX was on the specified date and the courier was such a happy polite guy. I am so pleased with my purchase. Will definitely be back next year.

Disaster. Avoid this company. Tree arrived wrapped and left in the street. When ai finally managed to get help from neighbours to get it into the house and open it, loads of branches fell off and others were brown and dead. The tree was a mess. Creepy crawlies all over it too. This company source from abroad and a delivery company dumps it on your doorstep and runs away. Will never use this company again. Beware!

Rotten tree arrived. Now I have no tree, a refund doesn’t really start to compensate for the dashed hopes as we gathered to decorate long awaited delivery.

I was nervous at first ordering a tree online but it’s honestly the best tree we have ever had. Perfectly shaped, super healthy and dense needles. Plus the customer support was spot on when the delivery company was a day late with my order. Can’t fault the service and will be back next year!

This was my first time ordering a tree online. There was an initial hiccup when my delivery date was delayed, but I was impressed with the professional way that Bethan and Lucy assisted to make sure that the tree was delivered the next day in time for a special event. The tree itself is absolutely beautiful- it is a perfect shape with healthy looking and full foliage, and it smells divine. It arrived very well packed and in good condition. Thanks again to the whole team!

Beautiful trees great shape and delivered to the door - takes all the hassle out of shopping for Christmas trees (if you are fussy like my husband and need it to be UK grown and Norway spruce!) Will be putting in my order for next year for sure.

Don't use this company >>> I purchased a tree for our 2024 Christmas and sent a message to there information centre asking what base would be suitable, I then purchased this and was told the base and the tree would arrive on the same day,only thing was the tree was delivered to me but the base was sent approximately 300miles away the company refused to replace the base even though I can prove I paid for it and it was there error. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.
On seeing your response the address on the order was install via a smart phone app which only installs information stored in its memory so it's not possible for me to give an address I don't have, also I ended the call not you at no time was I abusive so another thing wrong and as I have said let's see what a judge thinks is more likely.

Firstly, the doorplate photo provided by the courier cannot determine for sure that this is my doorplate. Because there are many identical doorplates in this area/block, with exactly same door style and same architectural style, as they all built at the same time. The only difference is the street sign. I respond your email said yes, it’s because my footplate is No.10, but when I thought about twice, it can be my neighbor’s No.10 as well. Without more information, it is difficult to determine from the courier's photo that this is definitely my door.

Secondly, I was at home all day waiting for this package, so if the delivery person rang the doorbell, I couldn't possibly have been completely unaware. The fact is that I didn't hear any doorbell or knocking, and I didn't receive any phone call, email, or a card notifying me that they had been here.

I contacted you to let you know that I would also be home all day the next day, but the courier company did not deliver the package. The third day, while on a business trip, I received a call from your customer service. I told the lady that I did not want the package delivered today because no one would be home for a week. I do not want my tree to be left randomly, which could potentially be damaged due to weather conditions, and worse, stolen by someone. I requested that the package be delivered on the following Tuesday, but the customer service later emailed me to say that the courier company could not deliver on that day, but she would follow up with me. However, I have not received any phone call or email since then.

Thank you for telling me here that my tree had been delivered to my neighbor. I have no idea which neighbor it is, and I haven't received any more professional notification. Could you please email me the specific information so I can find out where my tree is?

I believe the quality of your tree is great, otherwise I wouldn’t order, however, I am frustrated about the whole unprofessional process, especially the delivery part!
