I first came across seowriting.ai around September 27, 2024. After testing it out, I bought the Professional 250 content package and used it to build five different sites. The tool really helped me scale quickly, and I was able to sell those sites later on Flippa and MotionInvest.

Since then, seowriting.ai has become one of my regular tools. Right now, I’m working on three new sites and publishing around 30–40 articles on them. Two of those sites have already been approved by AdSense, and all the traffic I’m getting is completely organic.

Overall, I’d say seowriting.ai has been a solid investment. It saves me time, helps me create content consistently, and has directly contributed to both building and selling successful websites.

After auditing the SEOwriting plugin, I discovered a serious security vulnerability that should be considered a backdoor.

🔍 Issue Summary:
At the top of the code, the plugin includes a hidden file:

$dev = __DIR__ . '/dev.php';
define('SW_IS_DEV', is_readable($dev));
if (SW_IS_DEV) {
include_once $dev;
}
This silently checks for and includes dev.php if it exists and is readable. This is highly suspicious because:

There is no legitimate reason to include a hidden dev.php file in a production plugin.

The presence of this logic allows attackers (or the plugin developer) to execute arbitrary PHP code if they can place a dev.php file on the server.

It's a classic backdoor pattern – conditional inclusion of a file that is not part of the plugin distribution.

📛 Why This Is Dangerous:

This code provides a stealthy mechanism for remote code execution.

It could be used to upload shells, steal data, or take control of the server.

Site owners are completely unaware unless they manually audit the code.

🚫 Recommendation:
Do not use the SEOwriting plugin. Remove it immediately if it's installed. This behavior is not acceptable in any legitimate plugin. Plugin developers must never include hidden backdoor mechanisms.

WordPress.org or the marketplace hosting this plugin should review and ban it.

If you're a developer, consider reporting this to the appropriate security forums or plugin repositories.

Always audit third-party plugins for suspicious behavior.
