The driver (Mikhal) accommodated my schedule by delivering on a Friday evening rather than Saturday. Very much appreciated

SGT seemed like a great fit at first, they even offered our son a student discount to transport his car for a new job many states away, which seemed kind of them bc the car transport fees were not inexpensive to start. They had GREAT reviews on-line. We first communicated with Felix and then Allison and all seemed fine.
But after that, we never communicated with Felix or Allison again and we realized that SGT was not as organized as at first glance. We received multiple calls regarding the same issue and it seemed as if they were not communicating internally.
I am not sure where the call center was located but the phone numbers never matched up and although the Customer Service Reps (CSRs) were VERY polite on the phone they lacked knowledge on how to resolve our issue beyond the blanket statements that they provided with each of our inquiries. Therefore no real value was realized from the interactions with the customer service reps.
Reaching an actual human for assistance was another challenge. Wait times on hold were very surprising. Think minimum 20 minutes on hold per call. You could usually reach someone by email but again the lack of seeming internal communication was frustrating and the emails were similarly blanket plug and play responses without much resolution.
We made our original reservation for car transport for a specific price and a specific time. We made the reservation 2 months in advance. I made the original reservation but bc it was my son's car SGT required a new contract with him directly. Okay, sort of made sense since it was his car, but I was the one initiating the car transport on his behalf. He is a very busy student but made the time to answer SGTs questions to give me permission to speak on his behalf. Then SGT switched the contract back to my name the week before the scheduled transport. All under the original contractual arrangements. Okay, whatever, just wanted to get the car transport resolved so our son could start his job in a new state off on the right foot.
SGT told us to have the car available for a 2-3 day window for pick-up at a pre-agreed upon timeframe. Not a problem. However, when the three day window started they had no one lined up to transport our vehicle and seemed unaware of the lack of transporter assignment until I called to check on the status. I called SGT again at the end of the 2nd day of the 3 day pick-up window bc we had still not heard from anyone at SGT regarding our pick-up day / time.
It turned out that SGT was just a broker and not an actual transporter. The CSRs had no idea what the status was for a car pick-up.
SGT brokered our car transport out to another BROKER who eventually signed us up with a transporter. SGT charged us additional fees that were not in the original SGT contract. The SGT CSR literally told us the fee went up by $200 bc "the transporter was going to accept the highest bidder for who would make it on to their truck". This was a literal last minute change communicated by SGT when it was too late for us to work with a different company and too late to just drive the distance to arrive on time for the start date of the new job. We paid the difference bc not every college age student has an extra $200 laying around.
Due to the disorganization of SGT the car was picked up a day later than the 3 day window that was promised. We had already left town headed to the new state. And because the car was picked up later than promised it was therefore delivered a day after the window promised. And a day later than when our son started his new job.
The Transporter himself was easy to work with after the car was picked up but it was SGT as the middle man where the breakdown occurred.
IF you do not mind tons of follow-up on your part for simple answers and you have a very flexible time frame and flexible wallet then SGT could be a good fit. But given our time constraints and student budget this was a very stressful transaction and we will not be using SGT again.

SGT auto transport has terrible customer service. They were going to pickup a car for me but then their guy cancelled because the shipper could not meet the 1st day with the pickup guy and pickup guy could not do it the next day. I called for 2 days getting no answer, leaving messages and getting no call back to see what was happening. Finally gave up with them and found someone else. Got quick service. Got into a dispute then with SGT who wanted a cancelation fee. I argued with my card company that they hadn't provided a service so were not due anything. SGT won with card company saying a cancel fee was in the contract I signed. Now they want additional money for having to settle my dispute with card company. I would use someone else for better service. Despite what SGT is saying about calling me on 1/14, that's a lie. As stated above I tried for 2 days to get ahold of them and noone called me till the 3rd day after I found someone else.

I recently arranged with SGT to transport a vehicle from the Seattle, WA suburbs to Nassau County NY. From the very first contact to delivery of the vehicle, SGT and the freight carrier were 'spot on'. I would use them again...for sure!

In January I cancelled, in writing my transport order less than 24 hours after my initial order because of my concern that emails asking for more credit card information and a lack of pick up window confirmation. I did not hear back from the company so I thought that all was well. On April 18th I received a call from a collection agency that SGT was trying to collect a cancellation fee. In looking at other reviews it seems that this is a strong arm tactic used by this company. Beware!
In addition, SGT chose to ignore my written cancellation request and have chosen to respond: "we did not receive any confirmation that the cancellation request was acknowledged or completed" This even though they responded to my cancellation request.

Pickup window was a day later than we were advised. We were flying home very early that day, so we had to call in a favor and have a neighbor give the car to the trucking company. Unfortunately, the trucker didn’t show up until after 8:00pm to get it.
SGT, the trucking company and the NON-English speaking driver never contacted me to keep me updated once the vehicle was picked up. They kept in touch with my neighbor. I tried to fix this by calls and chat and text to no avail. Thankfully our neighbor kept us updated.
Delivery suddenly was a day earlier than advised. Again, found this out from our neighbor who was texted by the driver last minute. Best part was it was delivered after10pm at night. This was after a phone conversation I had with Kenneth at Cargo Car Transportation (the trucking company), earlier in the day assuring me of the delivery being the next day. He was also going to have the driver contact me directly but that never happened. When we found out the delivery was then scheduled a day early and after 10pm, Kenneth was MIA.
Thankfully, other than the timing involved and theVERY POOR communication, the vehicle arrived intact. This is on SGT and the trucking company SGT decided to entrust our vehicle with.
Our first time using SGT, not sure if we would use them again. Who wants to deal with moving pickup and delivery dates much less ones later in the evening and after dark?

SGT Auto Transport…
Transporting a car in closed or not closed truck? My strong recommendation to talk to SGT at (864) 546-5038
I use them to ship 2 cars between NY and FL twice annually for many years; superior service, excellent pricing and terms, customer-driven, etc.

DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR FUNDS STOLEN.
I cancelled within 20 minutes of booking, via email, per the Terms and am now told that they will be charging me $149. I will dispute this with Citibank but the fact that they think they can bully me into using their service is ridiculous and is the work of the devil.
This is a shady company regardless of what the reviews say.
Ans they are so arrogant that they write several paragraphs about how they aren't.
FAFO if you DARE!!

Stay away from these bait and switch carrier brokers...The bait is a low price to ship your car, promising a 24-48 hr pick up window....they stalled and made excuses for no pick up, no service for 6 days, then charged me $349 in fees, when i went to cancel, as I had to go pick up vehicle myself 100 miles away...DO NOT SIG ANYTHING......THEY WILL GET YOU

All the reps I spoke with were very kind and reassuring when it came to transporting my car. They also gave me the best and fair pricing quote. My car was picked up and delivered in perfect condition and within the time frame they gave me.

They are professional and got the car in short time without in good condition.
