Poor Service and Customers Lose Out
Despite ordering in time I, along with many other people, didn't receive my drinks until after Xmas. I spoke to Diego at Shakacan before Xmas and he told me it is the postal system to blame, not them. I was given the option to cancel but this was for a gift and I had no other options (because they didn't respond in a timely manner to my emails) so I went ahead. Mail services may have been causing a problem, BUT it took Shakacan 5 or 6 days to even process my order and get to the point of posting. The drinks turned up in a crappy taped up box on 27th December. I did not enjoy the ordering process and it was just not good enough.
Did the quality of the drinks make up for the delay? NO! I had hoped for amazing drinks that were fun to make and enjoyed by all, but this was not the case. The only drink my wife thought was worth the pain was the Espresso Martini. That's 1 of 6 drinks, and the shaker thing is hugely overpriced - it will end up in the back of a drawer, never to be used again.
Summary
Poor communication - it took too long to respond to my emails.
Really poor delivery and it is the customers (us) that have lost out, just like I told Diego it would be.
The drinks just are not worth it.
They failed every step of the way and I wish I'd cancelled.
I have been offered 15% off all future orders. That's a hollow apology when you'll never use them again.
